''Hello, it's nice to meet you, Katen,'' Ellie hummed, sitting with the group. ''Now, that you met with everyone, Katen,'' Heather hummed, her eyes on Ellie, Zoey and Matt. ''Be nice, I'm going to make sure our guest is happy and fed,'' Heather said, grinning. ''I'll be right back, Katen,'' She added, giving her a kiss on the cheek before disappearing into the small crowd of family and friends.
-
Katen nodded slightly when Heather left her with the group, "Okay." She said with a small smile. She sat down with them and looked at the group, "So what do you guys do?" She asked, "Jobs and otherwise." she said and mindlessly played with a strand of her hair.
-
''Well,'' Marceline said, biting down on her bottom lip. ''We're mostly business owners of the careers we desire, we're the bosses basically,'' Zoey said, grinning. Matt laughed at her words and leaned back in his chair. ''We mostly hang out in Ellie's tattoo shop, where her success started and do whatever. We write, paint, sing, whatever interests us the most at the current moment we'll do it,'' Matt said, cracking his knuckles. ''As long as they clean up after themselves it's fine,'' Ellie said, resting her arms against the table.
-
Katen nodded slightly, she was expecting that, "I see, sounds fun." she thought for a moment, and then said, "I don't know if you know but I don't work. I was just traveling before Heather and I started dating." she looked at the friends watching their reaction but not too closely.
-
"What do you do to help Heather out, then?" Ellie questioned, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. ''But, at least you like to travel,'' Marceline said, grinning. "I believe the fact you like to travel is what Heather likes about you in the first place,'' Marceline added, hoping the others won't get too offended by Katen's unemployment.
-
Karen's eyes widened slightly before she fixed it, "I have savings, I try to help out with stuff but Heather usually doesn't let me." she laughed lightly but was slightly embarrassed by this fact, "Traveling was always such a hopeful dream when I was a kid, my parents found it useless unless it was a business thing. So I try to go everywhere I can." She looked at the friends seeing if it was pissing them off and she couldn't fully tell. "Anything you guys would like to know?"
