Katen looked around the room at the people that were there but without a thought, she decided to approached her lover with a smile, "Hey, love." She said and wrapped an arm around Heather as she came up beside her, "Mr. and Mrs. Law." She greeted with a small wave. She leaned close to her love and whispered a quiet, "Are you more relaxed now?" before kissing her cheek and looking back at her family, "Nice to see you again."
-
Heather's heart warmed at her concern and responded with a hesitant nod. ''It's nice to see you too, dear,'' Mrs. Law, hummed, her hands clasped together happily. Mr. Law, the grumpier one of the two, only responded to Katen's greet with a glance in her direction. ''Now, I know you two are both women and having a child together with the both of your DNA is quite up...impossible,'' Mrs. Law began clearing her throat. ''But, I do expect grandchildren one way or another, have you two thought of a way to do so?'' Mrs. Law questioned, as it was her only wish to have grandchildren and fatten them with sweets.
-
Katen smiled slightly at Heather's nod. She raised an eyebrow at the first part of her sentence, curious as to where it was going. She choked on nothing nothing when she heard the last part of the sentence she felt her face go somewhat red, "U-um we haven't made a concrete plan yet, right love." she said and with her eyes tried to tap herself out.
-
''Right,'' Heather said, agreeing with Katen. ''It's too soon anyway, what's on my mind currently is taking care of the company,'' She added, smiling at her mother. ''I know, I know, and I'm sure you'll make the company truly sore,'' Mrs. Law hummed, as she brushed at her daughter's pink hair, despite the dislike for the vibrant color. ''Go socialize with your other guest, I'm sure they want to speak with the soon-to-be-married couple,'' Mrs. Law said with a cheerful laugh.
-
Katen nodded slightly and had relaxed at Heather mentioning her devotion to the company, she smiled softly at Mrs. Law's show of affection. She nodded agreeing with Heather's mother, "Yeah, love, let's go talk to your friends." She said with a small laugh slightly amused by her mothers cheerfulness.
-
''Okay, let's go then,'' Heather mumbled, her eyes drifting to the small bunch of her friends that sat in the dining room, resting and chatting away. ''Do you maybe happen to know any of them? Before I introduce you awkwardly to them,'' Heather said, a giggle escaping her lips. She lifted her finger, pointing it to the bunch. A grin was plastered on her lips as her friends waved her over. ''Plus, they're super friendly, you're bound to know one of them, right Katen?'' Heather questioned, hoping her friends and Katen could get along well. If at least some of her friends knew Katen already it'll be easier on her first impression.
-
Katen laughed lightly, "No, love, I haven't met them before. You haven't introduced us yet and besides, how would I know your friends?"She kissed Heather's temple lightly, "Well, let's go. Time to meet your friends." She said as she studied her friends almost possitive she'd never met or seen any of then before.
-
''You never know, life works in a mysterious way,'' Heather snickered, her heart skipping at the gentle kiss. ''Alright,'' She hummed, excited about Katen meeting her friends for the first time. Heather's friend group was rather diverse and their diversity gave them riches. They were all extremely influential and carefree people, Heather was sure Katen would love them as much as she did.
Once approaching the small bunch of friends, their eyes lighting up at the young pink-haired woman. ''Heather!'' Cheered the women on the right with the green hair, and charming brown eyes. ''It's so nice to see you, again. God, it's been too long,'' She snickered. ''Right on,'' Said the male sitting beside her, his hair black and silk with perfect green eyes to match. ''Well, guys, it's good to see you again and all,'' Heather began. ''I know you guys heard me talk about Katen, a lot, especially you, Marceline and Oscar,'' She said, addressing the green-haired women and the black-haired man. ''Well, this is my lovely, lovely soon-to-be wife, Katana Prince,'' Heather announced, practically beaming. -
Katen chuckled slightly at her and nodded, she followed a step behind Heather as she walked up to her friends. She smiled slightly at the greeting Heather got, she raised an eyebrow slightly when Heather said she'd talked about her curious as to what she told her friends but overall didn't care so she brushed it off, "Beautiful introduction, love," She said with a smile, "Nice to meet you and I go by Katen." She added quickly and gave a wave to the friends as she quickly studied them.
-
''Very nice to meet you too, Katen,'' Marceline said, grinning. ''So, I'm Marceline,'' She began pointing to herself, then next was the black-haired man, Oscar. ''That's Oscar, then Gregory, Diana, Trey, Matt, Karoline, Zoey, Iris, and lastly Vanessa!'' Marceline said, introducing everyone one of Heather's friends. The small group said their hellos individually, grinning at Katen. ''Wait, aren't we missing someone?'' Dianna asked, leaning forward, biting her lower lip in thought. ''I don't think so?'' Heather mumbled, her gaze falling on her group of friends, lost in thought.
-
Katen nodded along and matched the names with the corresponding faces, she said mini hellos to all of them as they spoke to her. Katen raised an eyebrow, she found it kind of amusing that that forgot about one of their friends, Katen and her friend used to tend to do that as well, they don't get together much anymore because of how busy everyone is. She chuckled and leaned close to Heather, "You are by the way." She said knowing what she'd heard of the friends that one of them wasn't there.
-
A shiver ran down Heather's spine as she looked over at Katen. ''And how are you so sure of that, I thought you didn't know any of my friends,'' Heather said, a smirk grazing over her lips as she snickered. Marceline coughed into her hand, to interrupt the couple, politely. ''We're missing, um, Ellie,'' Marceline said, grinning. ''Yeah, Ellie, the super cool tattoo artist, I'm sure out of everyone Katen, you'll love her the most,'' Iris said, grinning.
-
Katen puffed her cheeks like a child losing an argument, "I didn't know any of your friends but that doesn't mean you don't talk about them." She looked over at Marceline when she coughed and smiled like the triumphant victor she was. "I win." She said with a laugh and stuck out her tongue like a child. She laughed lightly and looked over at Iris, "Good to know."
-
Heather laughed at Katen's behavior, snickering. She licked her lips as she heard heels tapping against the floor coming close to their direction. Turning her head, Heather saw Ellie coming in close with her vibrant purple hair and hazel eyes with tattoos littering her arms. ''Hello,'' She said, Ellie's eyes on Katen. Familiarity flashed in Ellie's eyes, sure to have seen Katen possibly once or twice, she wasn't sure. ''Ellie, glad you could make it,'' Heather hummed. ''Yeah,'' Ellie said, her gaze flickering from Katen to Heather.
-
Katen's smile widened a bit at Heather's laughter. She looked over at the girl approaching them and looked over at Iris, "Ellie?" She asked then nodded and answered her own question, "Ellie." She turned to face the purple haired girl, "Hi Ellie, I'm the fiancee also known as Katen, nice to meet you." She said with a smile.
