Muse A has been sheltered for most of their upbringing, coddled by loving but overprotective parents well into their teenage years. Theyve yet to experience most of the milestones that their same-age peers take for granted, like attending a school dance or getting their drivers license. The only time that Muse A isnt under the watchful eye of their parents is when theyre at school and even then, theyre under strict orders to come straight home once that dismissal bell rings. Muse B hasnt resided with a parent/guardian since they were legally able to live on their own. They didnt come from a nurturing environment, not even close, but theyre not looking for a pity party about it. Muse B fends for themselves in this world and theyve earned a bit of a reputation for snubbing their nose at authority at every opportunity.
Muse A encounters Muse B one afternoon as theyre making their way to the bus. Muse A cant help but stare with envy as Muse B mounts their motorcycleable to ride off whenever and wherever they please. Muse B catches Muse A staring and they offer Muse A a ride. Muse A accepts, hastily snatching up their first little taste of freedom.  Â

Becky let out a sigh as she sat in her last period of the day, English. They had to write a short story all throughout the class and would be graded on it, and she had finished with thirty minutes to spare. If she had any of her few friends closely, she would try to talk with them. But sadly they were sat on the otherside of the room. She just closed her eyes instead and began to daydream. Daydream about what it would be like to go to one of the school dances, to be able to go out with her friends, to been be able to go out after school by herself even. But she knew that that would remain as it was, a dream. She would never be able to any of that for Atleast another two years when she turned eighteen. -
Cole smiled as he watched Becky from the back of the class. He just needed to wait for the right time... Cole sighed and returned to his work. He was writing a story about a man's journey to climb Mt. Everest in order to put a ladder on the top and climb up to heaven. Spoiler alert. The main character makes it to heaven. But not in the way he thinks. Cole chuckled as he wrote about the man yelling "Oh s---!" As the ladder fell. And down the mountain the man went. He wrote about the man's trip to heaven and how he became a legend there. The Story ended with the man getting drunk while telling Jesus the story. Cole smiled and brought his work to the teacher.
