Well, its not really my buisness to tell you. Then again, I dont normally care about whats my business. However, I dont want Wendy tempted to fire me if shes ever promoted to manager of the restaurant. The chef explained, chattering to amuse himself. Hmm.... Decisions decisions. He muttered teasingly. Well... I cant tell you. But theres so much gossipers here that if you walk up to anyone and mention Wendy theyll have a lot to say. Mind you, it will only be the News Papers side of the story. The chef told her. Although he liked to tease Wendy a lot, he cared about her. And he didnt trust this woman. So he decided it would be his new project to try and separate her from Wendy. Maybe he would also send Noelle on a goose chase now and then, just for fun.

''I have my ways of finding out, sir,'' Noelle's lips curved into a mischievous smile. ''It won't be long,'' She soon held up two fingers with a chuckle. ''Two days is all I need,'' Noelle hummed as she left the restaurant. Noelle approached her car, unlocking while she walked. With the business card now in her hands, she returned to the restaurant. Quickly adding the man to her contacts as Kind Stranger underneath her work contacts. As soon as she was seated, Noelle began texting the man.
Hey, it's Jennifer, the one who approached you in the parking lot today. I'd like to say sorry, I don't do that often. I'm a single mother of two and I told a friend about you and they encouraged me, so I was a bit risky with my chances. You see, it's rare to meet a single father and let alone loyal to their child. You were too handsome when I saw you, and I just had to say hello. How about I make it up to you with a date? Dinner's on me. Noelle smiled at her text, making sure her story adds up with her words earlier. Once pressing send, Noelle leaned in her seat waiting for a response. She scanned over the breakfast menu, a smile clear on her lips. -
Daddy, Ive been wondering. Why do we celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas? Chelsy asked. Well, Your Aunt Wendy, your mother, and my Aunt Dana and Macey are Jewish. My step father is also Jewish. My mother, father, and I are Christian. So you, your sister, and Zoey are both Christian and Jewish. We respect eachother so we celebrate both holidays. Andy explained when he got a ring on his phone. He smiled as he read the text.
Ok Jennifer. I guess it was a misunderstanding. You see my sister recently got a girlfriend whos new in town and I havent been used to the dating thing since my divorce. He texted. Who are you texting? Chelsy asked. Someone I met at the restaurant. Andy told her. Chelsy smiled. Is it a girl? Chelsy teased. She had been trying to get her father into a relationship since the divorce. Most kids would try to get their parents back together. However she didnt like her mom and dad together because she hated the fighting. So she and her sister were trying to hook their mom and dad up with other partners. Yes. Andy chuckled.
Chelsy instantly grabbed the phone from her father. Hey! Give it back! Andy chuckled and yelled at the same time, trying to stop himself from yelling at her or laughing at her actions. After reading the text, Chelsy smirked and texted. Hi Jennifer! Im Chelsy! Me and my Daddy Have plans tonight. But if you want to go out with him he needs a date to my Christmas talent show this weekend! Chelsy texted, hitting send before her father grabbed the phone back. -
Noelle crossed her legs, thinking. I see.. Must be nice of your sister to get a girlfriend so easily. It's quite alright, I was just being a like risky and funny, I guess. Of course, I'll go! Though after the talent show and a little celebration party, how about me and your father have some alone time? To get to know each other better but, before that can I get your name, handsome stranger? Noelle pressed send, satisfied with her message. She looked at the menu, in the mood for french toast and bacon. Licking her lips, Noelle tapped her foot against the floor.
-
(He already told her his name in the parking lot.)
-
Oh, wow. I totally forgot, just.. Ignore that. And let's pretend Noelle just called him handsome stranger.))
-
Andy didnt know whether to frown at the way the girl mentioned his sister and the fact that his daughter set him up for a date. Or to smile at the over flirting that made him blush. Chelsy ended up laughing at the mixed expression on her fathers flustered face. Okay little miss love expert. You have to go get ready for Zoey and Valery to come tonight. Is your room clean? Andy asked. Yes... But their beds arent set up yet... Chelsy answered. Well then? Get to it. He told her. Chelsy sighed as she finished her eggs.
Valery was Chelsys sister. Chelsy And Valery would spend the holidays together. Sometimes at his house, sometimes at their mothers. Valery got along better with her mother and Chelsy got along better with her father, so it worked having one kid raised by one parent. Zoey was a teenager so Valery (Who was seven) and Chelsy (Who was ten) looked up to Zoey (Who was seventeen.) -
Noelle smiled to herself, as she leaned against her chair. She drummed her fingers against the table as she stared out the window. Noelle will have to return home tomorrow morning, and come back to the city for a meeting with her editor. Most of the time, her children will be at school, her husband will be working and she'll be alone. Noelle had slept with her editor before and it brought the two closer together. As she thought about her editor, Noelle glanced out the window, staring at the passing pedestrians.

Silent night. Holy Night. All is well. All is right. Holy angels sing as he sleeps, Sleep in heavenly peace. Christ, the saviour is born! Christ, the saviour, is born... Chelsy sang as she prepared the beds. She was singing and dancing to Silent Night for her Talent Show. Her best friend Tyson was going to play the piano. She was also going to sing Marry did you Know? And Twelve Days Of Christmas.
Andy sighed as he did the dishes. He was going to have to clean the girls laundry so that Chelsy could hang it up while he slept. He would also have to go to his Editors office after his nap to get his book published. If Andy did good as a book writer, he could open a book store so that he wouldnt have to work all night anymore.
Wendy sighed as she served and took orders. She arrived to Noelles table and tried not to look at her because she didnt want to get flustered or thrown off. Hello. What would you like to order? Wendy asked. -
Noelle hummed as she turned her gaze to Wendy. ''Ah, hello, darling,'' Noelle mused, with a smile. ''I'd love to have some French Toast and some bacon please, with a cup of coffee, a cappuccino,'' Noelle said with a smile. Though, her brows furrowed in worry. ''Are you alright? With the broken pieces of glass? Did you hurt yourself, the chef came up to talk to me, you saw me out the window right?'' Noelle questioned as her hand grasped Wendy's. ''You can tell me, darling,'' Noelle whispered, averting her lifeless eyes to the table.
-
Wendy blinked. Im fine. She replied, biting her bottom lip nervously as she slipped her hand away. Do you want maple syrup for your French toast? Or is that all? Wendy asked, attempting to change the subject,
-
Noelle lifted her eyebrow, not believing Wendy. ''No, I'll love some maple syrup, a truthful answer to my questions, and lastly... Just for fun,'' Noelle hummed, propping herself up using her arm. ''A kiss, right here,'' She said biting her bottom lip with a smile.
-
Wendy blushed and frowned as she wrote stuff down on the table. The chef saw the scene and smirked as he rang the Bell repeatedly. I have to work. Wendy told Noelle before walking to the counter to collect more orders.
-
Noelle groaned as she watched Wendy leave, her lips curving into a frown. ''Damn chef,'' She hissed, as she messed with her phone. No worries, Wendy will have to bring my food over to me later, that's when I'll get my answers Noelle thought as she licked her lips, looking out the window, watching people walk by.
-
Thanks. Wendy blurted when she arrived at the counter. For what? The chef asked, not wanting credit for helping her out. Ill be thanking you once these orders are delivered. He added. Wendy nodded and served up the food. Now and then she gave the chef papers with orders. It was a busy day, so Wendy was distracted. When Wendy served Noelle her drink, she did it quickly and without noticing a note taped to the bottom of the glass.
