(I know)
Nathon stared at his phone
No nothin why?
Then he thought is she in the tapes -
Paige feeling her phone vibrate in her hands, she placed Renee down and turned on some cartoons for Renee on the television. She gave her daughter a soft kiss on the cheek and leaned against the couch cushions. She saw the text messages from Nathon and Spencer. Her brows furrowed at the screen names popping up.
Paige to Nathon
I just wanted to know. Just a little curious.
Spencer to Paige
Of course, I'm going to see my daughter. Can I bring my girlfriend, Olivia?
Paige to Spencer
You can see your daughter but, you can't bring some stupid girl with you. -
Nathon looked at the text "Oh well" he says throwing his phone on his bed. Then looked back a the tapes, counting how many there were. "15 reasons why" he says a like a dork. "So Justin is her first victim"

Paige grumbled, handing her phone to the little impatient daughter. ''You're one impatient shortcake, you know that?'' Paige said, voice low as she crossed her arms. Renee giggled and laughed, not paying much mind to her mother's attitude. ''Paige!'' Her mother called from the kitchen, as Paige cracked toes, wanting to stay on the couch for a just a bit longer.
''Clay's on the line!'' Scrambling to her feet, Paige darted to the kitchen, seeing her father at the breakfast bar whilst he mumbled something under his breath. There she saw her mother on the phone, clinging the white device. ''Thanks, mom,'' Paige whispered underneath my breath. ''Hey, Clay. What's up?'' She leaned against the wall, almost shielding herself from her parents. ''I-'' He began, as Paige interrupted him. ''If you have to call me, call my cell phone number,'' Paige said. He hummed, hung up and began to call her cell phone.
She placed the phone in its respectful place as her mother hummed with a smile. ''It's Clay Jensen, right? He's such a sweet, quiet boy. He's nowhere near in comparison to Bryce Walker though,'' Paige flinched at Bryce's name mentioned. She swallowed the lump. Just hearing the mention of his name caused her throat to tighten. ''Yeah, huge reputation and all,'' Paige said. Scurring along, Paige snagged her phone from her daughter, with her crying from having been pulled away from her YouTube video. Answering the call, she could hear Clay's breathing. ''Hello,'' Paige said, afraid of the words that he might say. -
Nathon listened quitely not wanting to miss a word

I feel like we made a mistake somewhere? Just wanna start over where the two can listen to the tapes together? We can keep the characters just change the beginning since I feel like it's going nowhere.)

The rain poured against the streets and grass as the tires began to become wet from the dripping rain; the tires stopped in front of a house with lights on, blaring music and teenagers loitering. Shutting the engine off, the raven-haired teen settled herself leaning against the leather-material seats. She had worn her favorite dark red sweatshirt and her familiarized leggins with her black sneakers. In the passenger seat was a friend, who Paige couldn't remember their name to. Three other friends, Lauren, Grace, and Martha remained in the back seat. Overloaded with excitement, the other girls exited the car closing the doors them as Paige sat in the car.
Paige grabbed her phone, ran her hands through the hidden compartments for her lipstick. With the brown-nude lipstick, she covered her lips sure to have them perfected. Soon, Paige stepped out the car, listening to the blaring music. It was a normal party on a Saturday night, with her daughter at her father's place Paige took the night to relax. Walking towards the house of a stranger, someone she probably didn't know caused her to feel tense. Her friends had scattered, either smoking or drinking or even gossiping. Blending with the crowd, Paige slithered around until she found a packet of abandoned cigarettes and a lighter near the kids who were smoking weed.
Paige went out, into the backyard's deck where some kids were in their underwear jumping in the pool and who were utterly drunk. Other's were tense, shying away from the illegal drugs or drinking the stolen alcohol the host or hostess provided. She leaned against the wooden, sure that it wouldn't break against her weight. In case the neighbors called the police, she was sure to make for the gate and leave. As Paige took a cigarette from the packet, she watched from afar her friend Martha chatting away with others. Sighing, Paige lit with the lighter, watching the flame dance; then Paige took a long drag from the cigarette, enjoying it for a moment.
Parties were no longer her best friend, Paige was now the outcast much like Clay Jensen. She glanced around the crowd, eyes catching upon the people she knew their names to but didn't bother. Paige smoked her cigar alone, having her own party in her head. Eyes were up, staring at the clouded sky. Soon, they were glanced downwards, towards her lit screen on her phone. If anything, perhaps she'll go inside grab a drink or two, invite Martha over and they'll chat about the new gossip she learned. Paige hummed at the idea as she slid to the ground, sure not to sit on any random ant hills. Once seated, she enjoyed her moment with her thoughts. -
Ignore the rain part, let's just say it was raining earlier in the day..)

(Lol)
"Mom, I'll be fine its just a party." He said grabbing his jacket "Fine just don't do any harsh drugs- in that matter don't do any at-" Nathon cut her off by closing the door ad heading towards his friend's car. When he got in the car his friend joke with him "What did you try to talk your mommy into letting you stay" The boy says nodding towards the window which Nathon's mom was standing in. "No she tried talking me out of coming, Now drive." When they got to the house Nathon went quite "Want me to call your moomy to come pick you up?" the boy jokes again. Nathon just shook his head and opened the car door, and started towards the house being invited in by some drunk boys. Nathon looked around the party he knew everyone there but felt lonely he slowly made his way out of the house, heading towards the back yard. When he looked around here he saw a girl up against a wooden fence, smoking a cigarette he look at her, their eyes met but he quickly looked away wishing he had a pack. -
Paige separated her lips, to hold the cigarette with her middle and index finger. Her thoughts trailed to old memories, her body acting and controlling itself while her mind remained busy. With her bored, lost green eyes, scanning over the backyard, she met with a pair of familiar brown eyes. She watched the boy look the other way once the two made eye-contact causing Paige to smile.
Nathon Smith, Hannah's ex-boyfriend. I remember I've spotted him from afar sometimes, Hannah pointed him out a couple of times but, we never personally spoken to each other. Wonder what's on his mind after her suicide? Paige thought, her heart aching at the memory of Hannah Baker's suicide.
Remaining on the ground for a few more moments of silence, her chest tightening at the thought of Hannah. Paige soon stood and slithered through the small, half-naked crowd of young people until she reached the side of the backyard where Nathon stood. Paige shook her packet of cigarettes and smirked. ''Want one? I stole these from the kids in the house who were either drinking, smoking weed or doing both,'' She shook the packet once more to prove her point. Then lifted the lighter, and snickered.
''Stole the lighter from the kitchen, probably from the same group of kids,'' Paige hummed. She placed her cigarette between her lips, not wanting to drop her only source of joy. Taking out a cigarette from the packet she handed it to him. Then, Paige flickered the lighter to life, watching the flame dancing with the gentle breeze. ''Put the cigarette in between your lips, I'll light it for you,'' Paige muffled. -
"Nah I can do it myself" hr says while taking the lighter and putting the cigarette between his lips "Aren't you one of Hannah's friend- I mean were." He says lighting his cigarette then handed the lighter back. "I heard she killed herself because of drama and being bullied." He says flicking his cigarette then giving it a good puff
-
''If you say so,'' Paige said, handing over the lighter with a raised brow. Listening to his words, she could feel her eyelids grow heavy from the lack of sleep because of Hannah. ''Yeah, I was,'' Paige took a drag from her cigarette, her fingers wrapped securely around the packet of cigarettes, her phone, and the lighter. ''Did indeed but, no one knows the real reason why,'' Paige mumbled, taking a deep breath. She sat on the deck, sure not to spill anyone's abandoned drinks. Paige scooted back away from the wet spots of the deck but, close enough to keep talking to Nathon. ''Hannah didn't leave any suicide note, she didn't report or tell anyone for all we know. Nobody just didn't notice, even if we did,'' Paige took a drag from her cigarette before continuing with her words. ''None of us cared enough to help her. f---, I just want to know what happened... Don't you? I mean despite you know, being her ex and all,'' Paige said, her lips lifting into a sadden smile. Lies spilled from her lips for she knew bits and pieces. She knew well that Paige was the crumbs from Hannah's meal in which she decided to discard and not include her in the tapes, at least that's what Tony told her.

Nathon sighed at the word ex, "Well what happened in the past happened we can't change it even if we knew the reasons why." Hes says pushing a couple off of him and slowly made his way towards Paige. "And she can never return, she can only live in our hearts. Well maybe if Kat were to stay she might have changed the out-come of this." He says throwing his finished cigarette into some brushes then headed toward the house. "Im getting a drink you want something?" he asked before getting to faraway
-
''I don't know,'' Paige whispered at his comment about Kat. She barely knew the girl but, spoke with her a few times before Kat had to move. ''Could one person, one changed detail really have kept Hannah alive?'' Each day Paige would blame herself about their last meeting where Paige did nothing but, yelled false insults towards the dead girl. She took a long drag from her cigarette, sure to close her eyes will she did so. ''Yeah..'' Paige thought for a moment. She did have to drive her girls home and she couldn't risk drunk driving. ''Maybe but, I'm have to drive some girls home while their done getting drunk or high,'' Paige mumbled. She fumbled with her phone for a moment, lost in thought. ''I'll need a place to crash, I'm not good with alcohol,'' Paige said, as it was the honest truth. She could hold down a cup or two but, since her habits caused her to drink far more than just a couple. Before she knew it she could be kissing a stranger, become the new gossip like Hannah and all because she was drunk this very night. Paige flicked at the packet of cigarettes unsure of what to do.
