''No not popular, just known,'' Paige muffled, blowing another bubble soon popping it in between her lips. Paige laughed at his compliment, a smile on her lips. ''Ever listened to when the teacher calls attendance? I'm Paige Andrews, a pleasure to meet you,'' She snickered, as she took out her phone from her pocket. Paige tapped her finger against the screen, keeping it from his peering eyes. Paige texted her mother, and simply wished to know if Renee was alright for the poor girl was sick at home. ''Must be weird,'' Paige muttered, leaning back in her seat. ''To you know, have dated a dead girl,'' She continued chewing on the gum to avoid awkward silence while the boy lurked by her seat.
-
"It is really its hard to think that she is even dead." He says looking down at his wrist
-
''Hm,'' Paige hummed, resting her chin in her palm. ''Yeah, she was my friend,'' Paige commented, eyes glowering at her phone. ''Anywa-'' She began soon interrupted by the second bell. ''Take your seat, class!'' The teacher called, her tired expression only further proving how she dreaded teaching teenagers about history. ''Seems it's time for class, Nathon Smith,'' Paige began, taking out her books for class. ''I suspect you'll be wanting to talk to me more, huh?'' Paige began, preparing for the storm that was soon to come.
-
"How did you know, I mean sound pertty cool" he sounded chessy alot. Then placed his hand on the side on his face " I mean if thats if you wanna talk to me." He says staring at her

Paige laughed at his words. ''I mean, I guess if I don't have much to do. I'll be smoking after school with a friend. Probably by Monet's cafe, or by the cemetery. I could give you a ride, that is if you don't have a car,'' Paige thought of those two places, the Monet's cafe, and the cemetery. Hannah's body remained at the cemetery and she felt she needed to see her friend after the horrible argument the two shared before her death. Brows furrowed at the thought, Paige wanted their friendship to remain, not for her to go around having sex with another friend. Paige only went to Monet's Cafe because it was before Hannah became broken, it was the beginning of chances to save her.
''Nathon Smith, Paige Andrews,'' The teacher called once more. ''Class is starting and I'll like to take attendance,'' The teacher snarled at the two. Paige glowered at the teacher but, did nothing more. While she thought of bailing the class, to go to the girl's bathroom, crack open a window and have a quick smoke Paige thought otherwise. She couldn't afford getting expelled, and Renne was counting on her to graduate to become something more than just a student. ''Take a seat with your friends,'' Paige said, glancing over at the boys. ''I'm sure it'll make you a nobody if you're hanging out with a junior,'' Paige mumbled, blowing yet another bubble than popping it with her teeth. ''Right?'' She muttered, chewing on the gum again. -
"Ms. whatever her name would kill me if I whiched seats fight now." The teacher was writing a to do list on the board. Then nathon rised his hand. When the teacher saw his hand rised she glared at him "What is it Mr.Smith."
"May I use the restroom?" He asked
The teacher noded and he left -
Paige snickered at the boy, an acquaintance, smiled along with her, the acquaintance's hair flowing with her as the girls laughed. ''He's cute, lots of trouble though,'' Nancy Hill commented. ''You're right, he is, and who's says I'm not?'' Paige snickered, the girl chuckling nervously. ''Yeah,'' With that comment, the class continued and learning about some dead folk Paige didn't care for. Paige tapped her pen against her notebook, eyes squinting at the board of notes as the teacher's words were ignored. The sound of pencils or pens, scratching the papers or fingers tapped away on their phones echoed in her ears. I really need a smoke Paige thought, biting her bottom lip, thoughtfully.

10 minutes had past before nathon came back in the classroom. He sat down in his seat put his heaf down and said "I hate this hell hole." then looked up to see the teacher wrote then put his head down again "This is stupid!" He said to a point the teacher heard and told him to get to work so he lifted up his head and acted like he was working
-
''Alright class,'' The teacher announced hands clasped. ''Instead of throwing you all to the library to start on a writing essay, I'll be putting you all to a group project. No more than four people and you'll be writing about anything historical!'' The teacher said, writing dates down. ''It cannot be in the twenty-first century!'' She added, her tone strict. ''You can remain here, decide your partners and do guidelines,'' The teacher mumbled, writing down the assignment on the board. ''Tomorrow, we'll be visiting the library for the first half of class then returning here to begin the project, hurry along now!'' The teacher said, at last, soon typing away on her computer.
Paige remained in her seat, one her phone texting her mother about Renee. Brows furrowed Paige didn't wish to work with others who weren't willing to play their part. Most people in the class didn't know her much, and she didn't mind doing it by herself. Paige cleared her throat as Nancy bid her farewells. Playing with her piece of gum, she was sure that Nathon might just come up to her if not working with his friends. Clicking her tongue at the top of her throat, Paige began writing in her notebook planning out the project. -
-
He walked up to her "hey you wanna work together."
-
''Of course,'' Paige hummed, running her fingers through her hair. ''Got anyone else we can work with or is it just us?'' Paige questioned, scratching her scalp nervously. ''I might sound like a different person from the rumors people tell you but, I actually care about my grades. Don't need an F because the work wasn't divided evenly,'' Paige warned, as she pointed to the desk in front of her, gesturing for him to sit.
-
"Ok" he says sitting down in front of her. "Whats the project about I was at the bathroom while she explained it."
-
''Anyone from historical times like Shakespeare, President Washington, Muhammad, people like,'' Paige hummed. ''So, who's your historical person of interest?'' She asked, kicking her feet up. ''We could start it this Sunday, at your place?'' Paige said, drumming her fingers on the desk. She wasn't going to let many people see her child, especially a stranger who dated her dead friend. Paige swallowed a lump in her throat, eyes trained on Nathon.
Does he even know? Did he even get the shoe box, just like what Tony told me, what Clay told me. What if he gets it Sunday and tells me? Will he even be able to listen to the damn tapes? I don't even know what's on them, all those guys told me that I was a reason why, and so is he, perhaps. Paige thought, biting her bottom lip. Her palms were covered in a thin coat of sweat and she could feel her chest tightening in fear. She took slow breathes, her eyes drifting to her phone. It reminded her of Renee, when she would always snag her phone wanting to watch any show she wished. It calmed her, and helped steady her panicked breathing. -
He looked at her "Is there something wrong." He then looked up at the clock then looked down at his bag. Then the bell rang. Nathon slowly got up and put on his backpack. Then got out his "Water" which he got out of his friends flask from early.
