Genesis smirked as he stood up to get off the train
Hope looked out the window nervously -
First years this way! First years! First Years this way! A tall, skinny man with long black hair tied into a mullet, narrow bony features, a thick brown cloak, and a white nightgown underneath. His eyes were a sharp blue and despite appearing bony his arms and legs were slightly muscular and he had callouses on his hands. He wore brown leather boots and a friendly grin. Belle smiled as she walked towards him. I am Professor Wallater. He introduced with a graceful bow as Belle, Farrah, Sarah, Laura, and other first years walked over.
Ciana smiled as she got off the train and walked over to the crowd of students waiting to get on the carriages that appeared flew by themselves. -
"Come on," Zander encouraged Hope. Zander took Hope's hand and pulled him along to the Mr Wallater. He made sure to keep an eye on Hope; it never ceased to amuse him how first years reacted to Hogwarts. It also never ceased to amaze Zander as well, the short time he's been here it always surprised him how much grander Hogwarts looked than the last time. Any newcomer would be intimidated.
Malory packaged her things in a small satchel purse and made her way to Professor Wallater. Good so far, atleast no one had come up to her. And none of her famous bad luck had shone. An average, luckless days was a good day for Malory. She was in a positive mood until she tripped and spilled all of her things. -
Genesis grinned as he got of the train and freaking strutted over to a carriage
Hope looked at the castle in amazement and then he looked around, making a odd whistling sound. He heard his raven and lifted his arm, letting the snowy bird land on his wrist -
Are you Okay miss? Wallator asked. Wallator was forgetful sometimes. But he really cared about the students. He helped the girl up who fell and helped her pick up her things. Some first years giggled at her and he frowned at them. I didnt know my hair Do was that bad. He told the laughing children, making it seem like it was him they laughed at.
Belle smiled as Sarah elbowed her and Farrah to stop laughing. -
Malory didn't respond to Mr Wallater, just gave an embarrassed nod as she tried to pick up her stuff. Oh no! Her poloroid was broken! The lense was cracked, the pictures wouldn't take anymore unless she got that fixed. And poloroids were out of style, Malory doubted she'd find a repair in the Muggle world, much less the wizarding world. Her positive mood was gone. People were laughing. It was her old school all over again. She snuck a peek in her bag to atleast make sure Steve, her pet cockroach, was alright. He was safe, tucked up in an old container.
-
Hope looked at the boats and tgen carefully got in to one, Snow moving to stand on his shoulder
-
Oh dear. Let me see that. Mr. Wallater told her, taking the broken camera. Amazing! A very interesting camera. He commented, having only seen Wizard Cameras. Oculus Reparo He whispered, pointing his wand at the camera. The camera began to fix itself and even rebuild itself into a wizard camera with the same style it had before. There you go. He told her, seeing her frown. Would you like to ride in my boat? He asked as he sorted the other students into pairs and sent them to a boat.
(Im thinking Mr. Wallater becomes her friend.) -
Again, Malory nodded. She put her hand under her lip, and pulled it forward, american sign language for "thank you." It's not that she couldn't speak, she just didn't see why people had to. So Malory taught herself sign language a few years back and she hoped Mr. Wallater understood it. She wondered if there was a wizard sign language, but she didn't ask. Malory picked up the last of her things and followed Mr. Wallater.
Zander waved goodbye to Hope as he went to gather with his friends. They had forgotten the whole incident on the train. That's friends for ya, pissed at you one second and then pissed at the next thing. It was like a trend. -
Mr. Wallater smiled. "So based on that camera, I'm assuming you're a muggle born. This will be a challenge for you at the beginning. But trust me. You'll get the hang of it. My wife was a muggle born." Wallater told Malory.
-
Malory smiled in interest. She enjoyed Mr Wallater, he talked to her without making her feel pressured into speaking back. He kept the conversation going on without her having to have a say. It was always interesting, listening. When you don't speak you really notice the things people say. A lot more than usual, atleast.
-
Wallater smiled as he rowed the boats. They turned the corner of the lake and from behind the trees came his favorite view of Hogwarts. However after thirty years of teaching, he no longer looked at that view. Now his favorite part was seeing the way the students rowed in the sparkiling water, staring at the castle in awe.
-
Hope looked at the castle in amazement as Snow cawed in his ear
-
Thats our school!?! Belle exclaimed as she rowed around the river. I know right? Farrah cheered, heaving the boats oars.
Ciana smiled as she and Gene finally arrived on their carriage. She frowned when Zander was placed in said carriage along with Darcy, the seeker for Slytherins team. -
Zander noticed Ciana in the carriage when he got on and smirked. He loved messing with her, it was their thing. Today, though, was the first day at Hogwarts. Zander wouldn't tease her at this moment. He would have to bother her a lot more later to make up for it, though.
