After going down, Alistair's eyes gaze around the empty and dimly lit room, the ceiling, walls and flooring appearing to be stained with a red hue. There is a badly rotting and chained oak door in the center of the wall in front of them, which is also covered with the dry crimson residue. It doesn't take the snow haired male long to figure out what it is, as the smell of it makes him frown. He knows this smell all too well, the tension in his shoulders and the adrenaline in his veins slowly beginning to heighten his senses. "Where exactly are we going?" His voice is quiet and slightly morose, his right hand twitching slightly as images of past bloodshed begin to play out once more in his mind.
-
Justin stayed quiet.
-
Tina entered the hole and stepped onto the stone walkway. The stone walkway lead to a brown building with a large vegetable garden surrounding it and a pen with goats of different kinds was beside the garden. There were many blood stains on the lawn and the door from before the shield was put up."This is the only place in Eternia that's safe from my mother. And, thanks to he field that blocks my mother's magic, the only place the curse doesn't affect me." Tina told them.
"Mother... What if Tina took them to her... girlfriends house?" Emily asked when she was all packed. "The last time she went there we weren't able to find her until she came back." Emily worried. -
"Curse? So you were under one. I had my suspicions." The snow haired male speaks sympathetically to Tina, his eyes widening slightly. "Believe it or not, I know the feeling all too well. Not in the same definition of the word, but, eh." He stops himself from talking further, trying to steel his nerves before speaking again. "We're safe for now, right? About what I was saying before..."
-
Justin pinched himself and felt pain. He said "Nope, I'm not asleep."
-
(Oops, sorry, I forgot to put Evelyn's part... xD)
Evelyn thinks for a moment, her right hand's fingers cupping her chin. "Then we shall improvise, my dear. But I feel we won't need to..." -
Yes. We are safe. This is the resistance of my mother. My mother put the curse on me when I fell in love with the leader of the resistance. And now I come here. However... I can only visit a bit at a time. Or else my mother will find a way to track me even when Im here. You two will be safe here. But Ill have to return home after a few hours.
What do you mean mother? Emily asked, practicing with her sword. -
Alistair nods as he listens to what Tina is saying, but then frowns slightly when he hears that she will be going back. Genuinely concerned, his voice is a bit louder as he speaks next. "You're going back there?! That doesn't bode well with me." A curious sigh emits forth from Deimos. If you don't like it, why don't you end the woman, Evelyn? You could do it within the next few minutes if you had your wings, but I'm afraid that's not possible here.
Evelyn's eyes widen, her mouth curling up into a small grin. "The stench of betrayal was heavy on the Angel. I'm sure I could reason with the demonic soul hiding behind those violet eyes." -
Justin said to Tina "But won't you get hurt though?"
-
Tina blinked. If I stay here then my mother will find a way to find me. She wont bother much with loosing some travelers. But she wont stop until she finds me. Tina told them. Ill be fine. She told Justin. Shall we go inside? She asked, gesturing to the building.
Demonic? Emily asked, looking concerned as she let her arm and her sword fall to her side. -
With no more words to say, Alistair just nods once, and heads over to the door. While walking over to it, a familiar feeling begins to creep its way into the male's chest, and his breathing visibly slows. I recommend you tell them what you were going to tell them, and soon, because it seems that your powers are returning, albeit very slowly. Deimos speaks directly to the Snow haired male this time, his voice sounding slightly concerned. "I-I know, old friend..."
"Yes, it seems that there is so much more to that man than at first glance. When he stabbed me I could see it all. In that fraction of a second, I saw some of his memories, and now I have the perfect plan to get him away from the others. You worry about dealing with your sister when the time comes, I'll handle him." She removes a small bottle of red liquid from her pocket, holding on to it tightly. -
Justin went in and asked "So what were you gonna tell us, Allistair?"
-
Mother... I have a question. Normally, I see Tina as ignorant and selfish. She is always hyper and bouncy and full of cheer to the point where it gets on my nerves sometimes. No att er if its the right time of place. I assumed thats what we were trying to get her to tone down. But just now... She seemed very dark and dramatic... And... She was willing to risk her life to save the boys. Emily told her mother. So Im confused. What kind of person is my sister? She seems to always be the wrong person at the wrong time. Emily asked.
Tina looked at Alistair in concern. Are you Okay? She asked him. -
Evelyn shrugs slightly, her eyes tearing up slightly. "I don't even know anymore. It seems like she's just changing more and more lately, and this incident really hurt me. How could she betray her own family like that? That's not something any ordinary person would do. I feel she may be growing more rebellious toward me, and I haven't the slightest clue as to why." She hangs her head in sorrow now.
With a sigh, Alistair speaks once more, his voice calm but slightly melancholy. "I'm responsible for the deaths of the many people I loved. There was the demon queen, Yl'vetta, who nurtured the demonic parts of my soul and forced them out. I killed everyone I had come to love in my time in Gravendrift, and although it wasn't completely my fault, I still live with the guilt I've carried with me all those years ago..." His eyes close and his hands clench into fists as he speaks once more. "I wanted you both to know this so that you would be prepared to deal with me, when the time comes." His right hand reaches into the right breast pocket on his navy blue shirt and produces a small needle filled with red fluid. He holds it out to Justin, his gaze moving to his face. "If I begin to lose control, inject me in the left arm with this. You don't need to worry about what's in it, just know that it will help." -
Justin said "Um, okay."
