Carrie was going to saying something but followed him to the village

Mason asked "I forgot to ask. What is your name?"

Carrie looked up for the ground for a moment" Carrie, what's yours..?"

Mason answered "Mason. We're here." and he pushed back some bushes and show the entrance to his village.

Carrie stared at the village amazed at what she saw " so this is where you live?"

Mason said "Yes, it is a humble and simple village." He started to lead Carrie into the village and bring her to the elder, Lithnara.

Carrie followed him through the village still surprised she was even here

Mason brought her to the large house in the middle of the village and opened the door for her. Lithnara said "Hello Mason. What do you need?" Mason bowed and answered "Thins young human appeared out of nowhere and was almost attacked by Darkness." Lithnara looked at Carrie and said "Young human, can you recall what transpired for you to be here?"

Carrie looked at the lithnara " uh no not really...oh wait a book, I found this book at the store and I was woken up by some strange noise then the book started to glow" she started to remember what happened

Lithnara said "I see. Then you are the chosen one, young human."

Carrie look at both them then laughed a bit' yea I'm not sure what that means, but it's not me defiantly not"

Lithnara sternly said "This is no joke. Only the chosen one can activate the book's magic."

carries smile went away *oh

Lithnara said "You have activated the book's magic and Darkness knows this. You are the chosen one who will banish him and his evil forever."

Carrie looked at lithnara " But why me. I'm not special and there are better people who could do this. I don't even know anything in this world"
