Sorry, busy day)
Early the next morning, Andronesia decided to go for another walk to get a drink of water. She was planning to take the same route as she did last time, hoping she would meet up with Jewel. -

Jewel trotted towards the stream she had seen the other horse her had at -

As Andronesia walked to the stream she saw Jewel. "Hey," she said. -

I just got a great plot idea. Jewel and Andronesia need a reason to be friends, right? I mean they're in different herds so why would they be friends? We could make it so that they discover they are sisters, and that years before they were born, the herds used to be one. Then, there was a huge argument and the herd split. However, their parents were still good friends, even though they were in two different parts. Their punishment for having a kid, (or in this case, a foal), was to be banished from the herd.
When it turned out that the foal would be twins, one went to the Southern Herd, the other, to the Western Herd. -

" Hello" Jewel said jumping into the stream -
Andreonesia couldn't tell what it was exactly, but there definitely was something familiar about her. If you ignored the Southern Herd smell on her, you could smell a whiff of something else, something that Andronesia recognized.

Andronesia decided to voice her thoughts. "You know," she said, "there's something familiar about you."

Andronesia squinted closely at Jewel. "Hey," she said, "is that the same birth mark?"
