Piper shifted once more,and wrapped her wings around herself -
He picked her up and set her next to her mother

Piper awoke and gasped clutching her side, and then winced at the touch

Piper bit her lip again, and tasted her blood, and closed her eyes.
Reyna peeked out from her wings and whined at her mother
