"Why didn't the council stop her?" she asked Derek hoping he would know

"I don't know why they didn't." Derek stopped to think about it. Was this their plan? That's why they agreed to him and Mary being together so easily

"Huh, that's strange" she said and turned human

"At least we're together again. And for ever." Derek smiled and kissed her.
