Yay! Good master! Good master! Ella thought as she ate the meat. She glared at Elizabeth and ran off.

Gerald said "This is a good meal. I can't remember the last time I had good food like this."

"You are a member of the gaurd, aren't you?" Queen Violet asked. "Do you not get paid?"

Gerald said "Yeah I get paid but not that much."

"I thought Royal Gaurd members were paid wealthely." Queen Violet told them. Elizabeth bit her bottom lip. "He's only part time." She told them. "Why?" The kings asked.

Gerald said "It was all I could get. Being a thief in the past doesn't help matters."

The kings looked at eachother. "Elizabeth? Can I talk to you for a moment? Alone?" Queen Violet asked. Her voice echoed through the silence as the two left the room.

Gerald left with the kings.

"Why did you choose a thief for your gaurd!?!" Queen Violet asked. "Because he was my friend when we were kids." Ella answered. "What if he stole from you!?!" Queen Violet asked. "He wouldn't Mom." Ella sighed.

Gerald just waited to be called back in.

"He could have. Go check your room and make sure nothing was stolen. Check everywhere he's been. If nothing is stolen, then he can continue being your gaurd." The Queen ordered, letting the boys back in. Eric eavesdropped and smirked. He snuck into Ella's room and stole her jewelry box and journals. Then he ran off before she got there.

Gerald sat back down and saw Elizabeth leaving. He asked "Where is she going?"

"To make sure you stole nothing." The Queen answered. Eric returned with his pockets looking like they had large boxes in them.

Gerald said "I haven't stolen anything." He noticed Eric had unusually large pockets. He said "Hey Eric. What have you got in your pockets?"

"Nnnnnooooooottttttthhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing..." Eric lied.
