(yo!)
Antonio watched the girl's expressions change as he spoke, and he felt a pang ripple through his body. He refrained from saying any more to her, though. She left without so much of another word. He decided to rest on the floor. It felt wrong, sleeping in someone else's bed. Using anything that belonged to that girl made his heart weary.
He didn't sleep much that night. He felt as if he had been gazing at the roof of the cabin for hours until there was a knock at the front door. Slowly, the hunter pushed himself up from the floor, touching his hair. It felt slightly tangled, but he didn't know where any of Tiana's supplies were. He'd have to face her with morning hair. He calmly stood and went to the door, opening it. "Yes?" -
Talia sighed. The boy had dark circles under his eyes and it was clear he didn't sleep. She was concerned that he hunted last night. "Would you like to help me get some breakfast?" She asked, feeling she should create a reason for checking on him.
-
"Uh, sure," Antonio shrugged at her question. "I mean, there's not really much for me to do in here.." He paused, thinking back to his hair. Even if the land was full of nothing but magical creatures, he would feel odd with such a messy figure. "Do you happen to have a spare brush I can use, and some.. Er.. Hygiene products? I'd hate to go out like this."
-
Talia rolled her eyes. "One, you aren't going out on this island as long as you stay away from the serpents and respect the dragons." She replied. "Two, I can teach you how to make your products and tools after we eat." She added, taking him to the lake. The lake was filled with large fish and was surrounded with bushes filled with berries. The reason the lake was like this was because the lack of currents and shallow water made it the only lake without sea serpents.
-
"But..!" Antonio tried to protest, but it seemed as if the girl was going to pay no attention to his cries. He allowed himself to be lead out of the cabin. They approached a lake, though, Antonio felt as if it could hardly be called such. It was shallow, and if it weren't for the fish he saw swimming through it, he would believe it was devoid of life. Though, it was still quite large. "So, what is breakfast?" He asked, looking to Talia. "Fish?"
-
"If we can catch the good ones and make a fire, then yes. I'll fish while you pick berries." Talia told him. There was no way Talia was going to feed his hunting instinct. She started a fire in the fire pit near the lake before getting a bow and arrow.
