Alrighty. Hope this works)
Madison was in the car that was heading towards her new home. The sun over at the horizon, about to go down behind the tree line seeing as it was around five or six at the moment. The man and woman in the front seats were talking on and on about how happy they were for her to join them, and went on talking about their daughter after a while. Madison didn't pay attention to them very much, she was relaxed and going in and out of sleep during the long car ride to their home. With one earpiece in her ear silently playing an instrumental piece as the other hung loosely down her shoulder a she could hear her new 'owners' as she refers to them as, uncomfortable with calling them her parents yet. -
Evelyn was enjoying the quiet. Her parents had left super excitedly, saying they were coming back with a surprise. Evelyn couldn't even begin to guess what it was. A new sketchpad? More water colored paint? She needed both but her parents said wait until her birthday or something, a special occasion. She started to wonder whether or not they were getting anything at all. Or what if they were in an accident? They had left hours ago! Evelyn took deep breathes and started singing through all of the songs she had memorized, which was a lot. After a while she wasn't that antsy anymore. It was getting dark. Would they be back in time for dinner? Evelyn had hoped so. She was getting hungry.
-
Madison had soon fell into sleep, as the people in the front had quietened down after a while. The silence, all but her quiet music and the sound of the car on the road, had put her there. After what was about an hour she was gently shook awake by the man who was driving the car. She jotuced the car had come to a stop in front of a house, she guessed this was where she would be living from now on.
"Go on inside, Madison. We'll get your things out later tomorrow." He said with a smile on his face.
Madison nodded her head as she placed her earpiece into her pocket and stepped out of the car and up behind the two adults ahead of her who were at the door. She noticed the woman had a Mcdonald's bag in her hand so they must have stopped before. After a moment the door was pushed open, and she watched for a moment as they entered, slowly following inside after them. -
Evelyn heard the door open and sighed with relief. They certainly hadn't made it in time for dinner! She had to resort to making a grilled cheese. Evelyn was gonna give them a peice of her mind! She crossed her arms and marched downstairs. "If you think I'm forgiving you for leaving and then not even coming back with anything," Evelyn started but she paused when she saw Madison. "Hmm." She commented. "Hello. Who are you?" She directs the question to Madison, though she looks at her parents.
-
Madison heard a voice ask who she was, and lifted her head to look at the girl before her who had asked the question. Looking to the man and the woman who stood in front of her to slightly to the side, sheturned her eyes bavj to the girl. "I-I'm uh..." she stuttered shyly as she took a breath. "Mad-Madison." she replied quietly to her, loerting her gaze down to her feet.
"Have you eaten yet Evelyn?" the woman asked her daughter after a moment. "We stopped and got this if you want some." she said holding up the Mcdonald's bag she had in her hand before walking off into what seemed to be the kitchen Madison guessed. The man soon following in suit of his wife soon after. -
Evelyn accepted the bag but didn't open it, staring at Madison. "Are you the surprise?" She whispered to herself. "Well, oh my gosh, you must be! When I heard mom and dad say I was gonna get a sister, I thought they were expecting!" She started excitedly. She paced around in a circle. "Think of everything we'll do! This is like I've always dreamed!" Evelyn was ranting now. She paused to take a breathe and noticed how Madison was slightly slumped. "You must be tired." She said. She motioned for Madison to follow her to the guest room. "Just as long as you don't mess up anything.."
-
Madison quietly giggled to herself as she listened to the girl keep talking on and on. She nodded her head lightly as she was asked if she was tired, for she was. After the long car ride and al, even though she did sleep a bit in the car, she still was. She hesitated at first, but followed the girl soon after wherever she was leading her to. "What, uh, do you mean?" she asked, a bit hesitantly looking to the girl as she followed her.
-
Evelyn glanced back at her. "Well, I'm just a very organized person. Don't mess anything up, is all," said Evelyn. She had everything in speck and order. Her parents didn't need help cleaning or anything, when her parents left they often found the house cleaner than before. A speck of dust gone that wasn't there at first. I guess you could say she was obsessed, but she really only did it in free time and she had some friends, of course. Even in free time she could still find something else to do. Evelyn opened a door to the guest room. "I guess you'll be staying here now." Evelyn commented obviously. The walls were blue, a calming color. The bed was in the middle of the room, a light yellow cover on it. "Whenever we have guests, we don't know if they're gonna be a boy or girl. We just put in colors for both genders," Evelyn explained.
-
Madison starred at Evelyn for a moment before looking around at the room. She liked how it looked at the moment, and the colors herself. She nodded her head to show she liked it as she went towards the bed middle and end of the bed, taking a seat on the edge of it and looking up at Evelyn. "Thank you." she said to the girl, showing a small smile to her. She slipped out of her jacket she was wearing, tossing it onto the back of a chair in the room, trying to get a bit comfortable at the moment.
-
Evelyn smiled slowly back. She nodded and closed the door before walking to her own room. She went ahead and ate the burger her mother had gotten her. It was cold but she thought she could hold it down. She facepalmed herself. Maybe Madison had wanted some! She didn't go back, though. Madison was probably sleeping by now. She got into bed herself.
-
Madison smiled to herself after Evelyn had left out of the room she was in. Finally she could get back to sleeping, which she really wanted to do since she arrived here. Sliding herself up the bed to the pillow and laying her head on it as she got under the covers. With her eyes shut she started to think about what it would be like here. Would she get along well with Evelyn? The other two? Shaking get head a bit and rolling onto her side, she got comfortable to prepare to go to sleep. She was too tired to think at the moment as sleep took over.
-
Time skip?~)
Evelyn couldn't sleep most of the night. She tossed and turned, thinking about Madison. Would they be friends? Would she be nice to her? What does she like? Luckily, today was only Saturday. They still had a whole day of Tomorrow to answer those questions. And then of course, Monday and the first day if school. Would they have the same classes? Evelyn eventually fell asleep after she hummed a tune to herself. It was a peaceful tune, Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. But everything by him was peaceful. -
Yes ma'am)
Madison woke up early in type morning, around sunrise timing it seemed. She was used to waking up at this time back in the place, and she was about to get up and start getting ready when she remembered she was not there anymore. Unsure if she needed to do anything here or if anyone was up at the time, she just sat up against the headboard of her bed, pulling out year headphones and phone as she put it on and listened to her music. Clicking on a random artist, she relaxed as "Hate To See Your Heart Break" by Paramore filled her ears and quietly sang along to the songs that played, waiting. -
Evelyn yawned as she sat up in bed. She went downstairs to check on her parents, who were still asleep. She was always an early bird. She may resort to making grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner, but she was always the breakfast boss of the house. Evelyn took out some pots and started making scrambled eggs, peppering them with season before leaving it out to cool. The easy part was done. She then hurried and stirred up some biscuit batter as she put them in the stove when she was done. If you were going to have biscuits, then you needed sausage as well! Soon when everything was in place, she had ended up cooking eggs, biscuits, sausages, pancakes, bacon, etc. Sometimes she may have overdid it. "BREAKFAST!" She called around the house for everyone to gather. She had set three plates and hurried to put a fourth one, remembering Madison.
-
Madison, after a while, took her headphones out and placed them on the table to the side of the bed. Relaxing in the peaceful and calm nature of the house, the silence. That is until she heard someone, which sounded like it was Evelyn, call out through the house for breakfast. She hadn't eaten dinner the night before, and immediately reminded herself of that as she pushed herself up to her feet to head out to see what was made. She was hungry, so she smiled at seeing that that shall soon be overcame. She headed out and down to where the voiced came from, coming in view of all that food made soon after. She smiled to herself, 'This should be good.' she said to herself in her head. Looking to the one whom did all this, she sent a smile before going to one of the chairs to eat.
