I looked at her in shock, awe, and worry. Shock and awe, because she gave me her guitar. Worry, because her parents were walking over and they were looking displeased with what we were doing. I smiled a sincere smile and nodded. "Thank you,... er.. What is your name?" I asked with a bit of curiousity.
-
The question took Scarlet off guard, but she quickly recovered, "Scarlet. Scarlet Crassus...and what about you?" She asked, unaware of the approaching duo behind her.
-
Scarlet.. The name sounded familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I got out of the trance I was in, and smiled a warm smile, extending my hand. "Miles. Miles Tannen.", I said, extending a hand, but looking back to see them standing behind Scarlet.
-
Scarlet smiled, accepting Miles' greeting, "Well Miles Tannan. It's nice to meet you." Her smile ceased his existence when she noticed a look of worry on his face, Scarlet cocked her head to the side wondering what happened as she let go of his hand.

"Scarlet Ava Crassus!" I heard the father exclaim. "What are you doing talking to this simpleton?" I growled quietly, and bared my teeth. "And you! Stay away from our daughter. We don't need her to be around such.. such.." "Failure!", the mother put harshly. I growled. I hadn't heard such hostilities in years. "Isn't your mother still around? Won't be for much longer, due to that.. What was it again? Oh, yes. Tumor." They had done it. I was about a second away from turning into a waterfall of tears. They then snatcherd the guitar and walked away.

Shock was written across Scarlet's face, fury fired her, lead resided in her veins. There wasn't a reason to act like this, Scarlet yelled after her parents, "Really?! That's my guitar, I can give it to whomever I wish! He saved me!" Scarlet stormed all the more closer looking her parents in the eyes, "And for you to act like such children....you're no better than the people who tried to hurt me." She attempted to pluck Milo from her father's hands, but his grip on the Yamaha was steel. She continued to struggle against her father, but it was futile.
Her words granted her a look of disgust from her father, Scarlet hardly recognized the grin across his face until it was too late. He let go of her Yamaha, causing her to fall backwards, hitting her head against the hard concrete.
Scarlet's vision was blotchy, she could hardly identify any detail, along with the colors, they had no purpose. Just shapes smashed against each other. For a few moments everything began to cease. She could see clearly; her parents walking away, her shattered Yamaha next to her, and Miles. Him sprinting towards her. Scarlet's vision grew dark. -
The scene folded before my eyes in a haze. I now remembered why I never liked her parents. They stopped us from being close friends. They were the reason on why my life was a living hell. They were the reason on why I was depressed! I quickly stopped , about to angrily question them when the unthinkable happened. She fell back and hit her head against the concrete. I yelled as loud as I could, and ran up to her side, carefully picking her up, noticing a small amount of blood on my hands and carefully ran up to my car-an old black and yellow 76 Camaro- and gently set her down, after wrapping a towel and tying it to her head to stop the flow of blood. As soon as It was done, I began flooring it to the E.R.
As we arrived, her still in my arms, I saw nurses hurrying to and from room to room. I went up to the front desk and waited a moment for the person to notice me. "Oh my god. What happened to her?" She asked. I told her about her parents, what had happened to myself, and the entire story while trying to stay strong. After they brought a gurney, I was checked out and had to remain in an upright position for a couple hours, whilst waiting for her to be either safe... or worse.. -

Ooopsie)
Scarlet's vision faded, her consciousness escaping her every few minutes. Her surroundings changed rapidly, from the concrete, to leather. She started moving, but Scarlet couldn't will herself to open her eyes. She breathed unevenly, every breath took more energy than she had hoped, it pained her every rise and descent of her chest.
