(You're succeeding my friend :)
It is!)
Nathaniel's heart dropped upon hearing the other individual confess the depressing the. His eyes softened deeply, and being the rather emotional person he was, he could feel himself choke up a bit at the sudden news. He could only imagine the feeling without one of his parents, and the emotions accompanying just thinking about it were unbearable. "I'm sorry." He swallowed heavily. "We'll be here for you." Upon hearing his second bit, he swung his head to see the sight. He turned the car off, nodding. "Don't forget to grab your clothes," he warned gently as he exited the vehicle, locking his door on the way out. His parents yelled a greeting, and he could notice a steaming mug in his mother's hand. Most likely hot chocolate, her favorite drink in the brisk wintery months, resided in the glass. He smiled, waiting patiently for Damien once he made his way closer to his parents. -
(Yay! I thought I was making him dull :4)
Damien looked at Nathaniel, glad to hear words of comfort competing from him. It was nice to know that somebody cared for a change. As Nathaniel walked toward his parents, Damien decided to follow, unsure of what to say or even how to act. As they approached them, Damien could see that Nathaniel's parents looked nice. They didn't look like stuck up people. They looked like you run of the mill people. Damien smiled and looked at them in admiration as he stepped onto the porch. -
(Not at all, I like him a lot!!)
His father was the first one to wave, his black hair bouncing on his head. He was obviously effervescent due to the fact that somebody was joining the family for once. It was unclear to him whether or not the person was a friend or a boyfriend or acquaintance, but it was of no worry to himself. Nathan's sexuality had been no secret once his mental disorder had been diagnosed. As soon as he received the news that he was most definitely a sufferer of obsessive compulsive disorder, the truth came spilling out. He was aware of the fact that his son had deemed it necessary to pull as much weight off of his shoulders as possible. And he was proud of his son, no matter what. Nathaniel's mother also wore a loving smile, her thick chestnut brown hair cascading down her shoulders, ending at the middle of her back. She had deep hazel eyes with long, natural eyelashes to pair with them. Her skin was a deep tan, a very beautiful hue to match her other features. A soft, accented voice came from her throat. "Hello, sweetie. We've already prepared a spot for you in Nate's room. We're so excited!" Nathaniel's father nodded quickly, and in a gruff Russio-English accent, spoke, "Indeed we are! Everything is set up and nice and Izabella here is preparing a lovely dinner for us. I'm Demitri. Please! Come in," he beckoned, leading himself and Izabella into the home. Nathaniel followed suit, ready to greet their two pets: Henrico, a black German Shepherd, and Sepherine, an enchanting calico with rusty orange eyes. He left Damien to his parents as he tried to search out the feline and canine. -
(I'm glad you do ^~^ Sorry for the late response)
Damien looked at Nathaniel's parents with a smile on his face. They seemed like nice people, and that made him joyous. He extended his right hand and shook Demitri's hand. Nathaniel's father had quiet a strong grip, and this slightly frightened Damien, but he didn't show that through his emotions. "It's nice to meet you both." he said as a careless grin played across his face. As Nathaniel's parents motioned him inside, Damien rubbed his hands together and stared in awe at the front room that was before his eyes. It was nothing like the humble home he had stayed in when he was younger. It was more, modernized. "Wow, this is a nice place." Damien let the awe over take him as he looked at the decorations on the walls, and the rugs that were placed on the floor. -
(all good my dude x))
Both Demitri and Izabella thanked the boy for his generous comments. their faces owning warm, welcoming smiles. They were rather quick with their greetings, both individuals hurrying back to their previous activities. Izabella bolted off to the kitchen in order to finishing preparing and cooking dinner. Demitri retreated to his office for purposes of finishing paperwork for his job. Nathaniel was in the middle of the hallway, Henrico the German Shepherd feverishly licking at the boy's face. The teenager was laughing a rather gruff chortle, completely infatuated with the animal. He offered affectionate pats and strokes to the fur. He shimmied a bit to attempt to escape Henrico's grasp, but the animal only playfully wrestled him back down, his tail wagging excitedly. -
Damien paused for a minute to look at Nathaniel in the hallway and smiled. The other boy seemed so happy here. As Nathaniel played with the German Shepard, Damien continued to looks around. Finally, after looking at the house long enough, Damien took a seat on one of the couches in the front room and looked beside him. Sitting there, pretty as you please was Sepherine. The calico cat had piercing eyes, that sort of surprised Damien, but then he chuckled and lifted the feline off of the couch. "Wow, you're pretty hefty for a feline." he said, cradling the cat in his arms. As Damien rocked the cat, it began to purr. This sounded like music to Damien's ears and he smiled, titled his head back and closed his eyes. He could feel his racing heart start to slow down, and his breathes evened out with Sepherine's. Before Damien knew it, he was asleep holding the cat.

my fault dude i fell asleep
When Nathaniel finally managed to escape the grasp of Henrico, he hurried off to help his mother with the dinner she was making. He was relatively excited to discover that she was creating a homemade recipe for chicken noodle soup and pretzel-bun ham sandwiches. Upon being informed that he did not need to help her in any way, he went off to his bedroom, deciding that he wished to change out of his roaming clothing. He put on a pair of pajamas-- a black tee shirt with green flannel pants. He carefully folded his clothing before setting the articles into his laundry basket. He scurried out of the room, walking through the hallway and into the front room. When he discovered Damien cuddling Sepherine, he smiled lopsidedly. It was a rather amusing sight. Nathaniel took a seat on the leather recliner that was stationed next to the couch, clasping his hands together gently. A few minutes later, his mother called out, "Cena esta lista!" The teenager's eyes widened and he tapped his chin, standing while doing so. He walked to Damien, cautiously shaking him. -
(This time I fell asleep xD)
Damien opened his eyes slowly and smiled, but then looked confused. For a moment, he had forgotten where he was and what he was doing there. He looked down at his chest and spotted Serpherine, then chuckled as he gently picked up the cat and put him on the couch, so he wouldn't disturb him. As Damien stood, he noticed Nathaniel was there watching him and he smiled, slightly nervous that he may have done something wrong, without realizing it. "Er, so I take it dinner is done?" he said, his mouth watering with joy. If it was finished, this would've been the first home-cooked meal he had, had in a while. Damien walked around the couches and headed toward the kitchen, the different smells wafting up his nose. His stomach growled in delight as he reached the table that was in the dining room. "The food smells great." he said, smiling as he stated at the food that was piled up on platters. It was exactly like Thanksgiving or Christmas. -
(just a bit mumble jumble of sleep :"") i love sleep
sepherine is a FEMALE jkjkjkjkjk i aint mad but she's a cute wittle kitty)
Demitri had already scurried his way into the dining room, placing down the necessary utensils that would need to be utilized during the meal. Izabella and her loving husband began to place everyone's share of food onto their plates and into their bowls. As the two adults did this, Nathaniel had lingered in the kitchen, sifting through the medicine cabinet in the corner for his three pill bottles. Two were a form of antidepressants, the other and SSRI. The trio of medication did wonders for his condition, alleviating most of the symptoms most of the time. When he could only find the SSRI and one of the antidepressants, he could feel his stomach churning in nervousness. From his place in the kitchen, he called to his mother,
"Mama, ven aqui!" Izabella, from her place, let out a very innocent gasp, setting down the large pot of soup and hurrying to the kitchen. Nathaniel expressed his concerns, and her eyes immediately lit up in realization. She assuaged his worry by explaining that she had to get him a refill, and had forgotten to put the bottle into the cabinet. She walked to her purse, which had been on a nearby counter, and yanked the newest pill bottle from it. After Nathan took his medication, she led him into the dining room, gesturing to his seat, which was right next to Damien. He thanked her quietly, settling himself at his bowl of chicken noodle and his pretzel-bun ham sandwich.
He peered down at the lovely meal, clasping his hands together and setting them in his lap. The teenager closed his eyes, giving his silent thanks to God for allowing the family yet another day together. He was aware that his parents were not religious or spiritual, so he never forced them to join him in his short prayers. Upon finishing, he began to eat, very quietly. His parents, however, appeared to be up for conversation. Izabella tilted her head, looking to Damien. In her smooth accent, she questioned,
"So, Damien, what made you come to Meshoppen? Demitri and I personally came because it is a very tight-knit community and we feel very accepted here. But what about you, sweetpea?" Demitri eyed the two, interested in what the boy's answer may be. The teenager, on the other hand, offered nothing to the conversation. -
(x3 Next time I'll make sure I get it right next time. Sleep is amazing :3)
Damien looked at Izabella and Demitri, unsure of whether he should tell them the truth or not. Nathaniel knew the truth, but for some reason that felt different. To Damien, Nathaniel knowing the truth felt right. As for Nathaniel's parents knowing, that would be awkward. Damien cleared his throat and shuffled in his seat as he looked around, trying to come up with a fabrication that would be believable. "Well, I've been doing a lot of traveling here lately and Meshoppen just seemed like a nice place to settle down. You know, just lay back and relax for a bit." he said with a smile, a faint blush coming over his cheeks. He felt kind of bad for lying to Nathaniel's parents like that, but then again he didn't want them to look at him different after they found out who he really was. Everyone usually did, except Nathaniel. Of course there was that split second that Nathaniel had a hint of awe brush across his face, but then he treated Damien like a normal person.
As these thoughts rushed through Damien's mind, he had almost forgotten about the food on the table. When he snapped his gaze back toward reality, he chuckled slightly muttering a barely audible apology. He thought about praying over the food for a moment like Nathaniel had done, but more memories flashed into his mind from childhood, and even more recent ones from Carlyle so he decided to not pray this once and just dig into the food. As he ate, he could feel Nathaniel's parents watch him with a slight awe. Damien lifted his eyes away from the plate of food and gave Izabella and Demitri a lopsided grin. "Er, sorry. The food is great! I haven't had a home cooked meal in what seems like decades." he said, grinning and patting his stomach. He wasn't sure about everything up to this moment except one thing, and that one thing was Nathaniel's mom could make some good food. -
(Ayeeeeeeee wahhhhs good)
Nathaniel was a rather slow eater, meticulously cutting pieces of food away from his sandwich and into his mouth. Much of it was due to the fact of his disorder and the routines he had fallen into because of it. He inhaled the aroma of the beautifully prepared soup, taking a bite of it. A small gasp of interest escaped his throat upon trying it. It was an explosion of flavor against his tongue that made his stomach warm and fuzzy with enjoyment. He looked up to his mother with a soft smile, opening his mouth to speak once he swallowed the bite.
"Gracias, mama. Es muy bueno."
Izabella grinned from where she was, nodding in the boy's direction. "De nada, Nate." She then listened intently to Damien's answers, letting little noises of interest coming from her throat. She smiled sweetly, setting her spoon down gently.
"Meshoppen is a very lovely place. You chose well, and we are glad to have you here. I cook a homemade meal every night, and I usually make breakfast, so you are in a very nice place. We accommodate for our guests." Demitri nodded in agreement, looking to his son every now and again. The boy had been quiet throughout the meal, something that was not typical of the male. The Russian man frowned slightly, but refrained from asking questions.
Nathan only got through half of his meal when he decided he was no longer hungry. He thanked his mother quietly, grabbing his bowl and plate to go and wrap them for later eating. He placed them into the fridge after doing so, retreating to his bedroom. Izabella and Demitri looked to Damien, the woman the first to speak.
"If you'd like to join him, you can. And if you want seconds, feel free." -
pip pip a bumpio
-
Damien patted his stomach and looked at the rest of the food that was on the table. "I don't think I could eat anymore." he said, letting out a chuckle, then a slight belch. "Excuse me." he said, a flush of red bolted across his cheeks in embaressesment. He stood up from the table and smiled, as he pushed the chair in, then he looked at his plate. "Would you like me to wash the dishes?" he said, glancing at his plate, and the one Nathaniel had left on the table.
Izabella shook her head and said something in Spanish that he partially understood. He thought she said something along the lines of, "Go with Nathaniel and I'll wash the dishes." Damien smiled and let out a happy sigh as he walked toward Nathaniels bedroom. When Damien arrived at Nathaniel's door, he decided to knock on it, to see if it was okay for him to come in.
(Sorry for the late response, everything has been so busy and the library has been closed during lunch xP I won't get my tablet back until this weekend.) -
(Ayeeee it's good no worries
Did ya get in trouble silly goose)
In his room, Nathan sat on the floor, playfully wrestling Henrico once again. The dog would let out small helps that were uncharacteristic of a German shepherd. They were soft and affectionate as he pounded gently onto his best friend every few seconds, whenever he saw the other collecting himself and attempting to stand. Nathaniel's laughter was light and airy, his eyes crinkling due to his wide, enthusiastic smile. He rubbed the animal behind his ears when Henrico finally decided that he wanted to cease the act of playing. His tongue hung from his mouth as he panted slightly, tilting his head sassily. Nathan pat the animal's head, scooting up and onto his bed which owned a navy blue comforter paired with various blue and white pillows near the top.
He watched as Henrico slowly climbed onto his covers as though the task had been to scale Mount Everest. Nathan laughed as the dog flopped onto his feet, his eyebrows furrowing as he eyed his favorite pet. He pat the spot next to him, muttering, "Henrico, aqui, aqui, aqui!" The animal wagged his tail vivaciously, making the teenager smile once again. Upon hearing the knock, he jumped, but let out a sigh of relief. "Come in!" he called, looking to the door in anticipation. -
(I dont even know how I got it taken away xD)
Damien walked into the room and smiled at Nathaniel. "Did I interrupt anything?" he said, with a slight smirk as he closed the door behind him and let out a slight yawn. Henrico let out soft bark, and looked at Damien with his head cocked to the side. Damien smiled and walked over to the dog and patted him on the head. The dogs fur was surprisingly soft for a German Shepard and that was odd to Damien, but then again, it was a nice change. After petting the dog, Damien gazed at Nathaniel's room in awe. There were posters on the wall and CD's scattered about the room. Even though the room was in slight disarray, it looked lived in. It didn't look like most people's rooms that were so organized, that if you stepped inside it felt like you were contaminating the place. Damien finally tore his gaze from the room, and looked at Nathaniel. "We, do you have an extra blanket and pillow I could borrow?" he said, clearing his throat and trying to look casual.
