(No problemo :3)
The teenager allowed himself to become immersed in the conversation in order to give his new acquaintance the attention he deserved. The mention of Missouri struck a chord with hin, his eyes lighting up slightly when the boy said so. He had heard many relatively enjoyable stories from those who had visited the state. Not to say that he had never heard a rotten tale, but it seemed that the positive was superior to the negative in the case of that area. Upon the arrival and newly found proximity to the group that had entered the cafe, he slid further into the booth, somewhat shaken by the behavior from the raspy-voiced male. As he observed the ring-leaders actions, his mouth remained sealed tightly, almost as though somebody had slathered super glue along his lips. His stomach churned in a flush of anxiety, his ears turning a flaming red in pure embarrassment. Once the unkind gesture was directed towards himself, he averted eye contact, his hands shaking underneath of the table.
"Um, sure. I'm fine with hanging out tomorrow. I don't have work the next few days because they are doing some quick renovations, so we can do that." His eyes were still attached to the table, his eyebrows knitted tightly together as if by an invisible string. "I have a car, but it's a little beat up. I will ask my parents to borrow theirs." -

Damien smiled with excitement and looked at Nathaniel. "Thank you!" he said, looking around, then his thoughts went back to the band members and the concert tomorrow. "Er, um....can I ask you another question?" he said, stuttering. Damien was about to tell him one of the most deepest secrets of his life. The one, that he didn't want anyone in this town to know.
-
Nathaniel nearly blushed upon witnessing the heightened level of excitement in the other, but he held his ground. Instead, he humbly nodded, rubbing his hands together softly in an attempt to calm his pestering nerves. The other individual seemed so interested as well as down to earth, a combination that grabbed Nathan by the heart and squeezed it endearingly. He felt his stomach twist into tiny knots upon hearing the boy's next question. His mind scattered, angrily trying to yank all of the downright ridiculous possibilities that were available for worrying. Rather than allow his bubbling anxiety show, he simply nodded once more. "Sure." The boy waited patiently, his foot beginning to tap once more.
-
Damien took a deep breath inward, letting the words fall from his lips. "Can you help me change my identity?" he asked, clapping his hands together. "I-if you want me to explain, I can." The words seemed to hit a brick wall for a moment before the look of realization shimmered across Nathaniel's face. Damien looked away, not knowing the the young man across from him had pieced together the puzzle yet, or not. Damien felt a flood of nervousness flush through his body as Nathaniel let it all soak in. "Er, are you okay?" Damien asked, quite awkwardly, since his first question hadn't been answered.

As the words sunk into the boy's mind, his eyes opened just a bit wider in a distasteful mix of confusion and astonishment. He tilted his head, his eyes squinting as he scrutinized the other male closely. A multitude of thoughts raced through his head, pondering what the other male was or what he was a part of the he felt the necessity of concealing his identity. His head thought to the tour bus as well as how the boy had appeared around the same time. And then the group of individuals that had so rudely interrupted them, it appeared as though the new acquaintance was familiar with them. It all began to come together like cohesive puzzle pieces, his mouth growing agape for a moment. His crossed his arms tightly over his chest, convinced he had the story sorted properly. "You're famous? And you don't want to be anymore? Yeah?" His nose and cheeks were regaining that salmon pink hue that he had worked so dilligently to calm. "I can help. But you'll have to excuse me if I'm not the best conversation piece or friend in general. I kind of am bad at having friends. " He mentally slapped himself at the idiocy of his statement. He cleared his throat discreetly. "If you're lookin' to get out fast, there's a back door that will take us to my car without them seeing."
-
Damien smiled and nodded. "That sounds great." he said, sliding out of the seat and standing up. "Before we go though, I'm going to order me another cup of coffee." Damien headed over toward the check out counter and smiled as the waitress that had taken his order before walked up. She nodded at him and waited for Damien to speak. "That's s time, I'd like to get two drinks, one you'll have to specially make if you don't know how." As Damien spoke, his eyes sparkled. Something that hadn't happened since he was sixteen. "The first drink is for me, and it's a peppermint mocha. The second drinks is for my friend Nathaniel over there, and it's a Butter-beer. Like the ones from Harry Potter." Damien watched as the waitress let out a slight chuckle and went to make the drinks. He felt happy, yet confused. Almost as if the decision he had just made was going to change his life forever, but that's what he needed. Change.
As the waitress came back, Damien flashed one of his happy-go-lucky smiles, and walked back toward Nathaniel. "Alright, here's your drink" Damien handed him the Butter-beer, waiting for his reaction to the odd, but flavor-some drink -
Nathaniel was sure to thank Suzanne every time she was around, earning a ruffle of the hair every now and again. He had not said much of a word when the glass of butter-beer was slid in front of him. He swallowed heavily, hoping silently that he would find the liquid enjoyable. The boy reluctantly reached for the cup, taking it to his lips and pulling in a smooth sip. It trickled on his chin, which he quickly wiped away. As he grew accustomed to the taste, his eyebrows rose in interest, knitting together in intrigue, and returning back to normal. Unsure as to why he hadn't tried the drink before, he downed basically the rest of it in one swift motion. He thanked the other male, rummaging through his pocket so that he would be able to repay him. "How much was it? Then, whenever you're ready, we can go, as long as you're sure that's what you want to do."
-
Damien shook his head as Nathaniel reached into his pocket for the money. "Don't worry about paying for it. Think of it like a thank you from me." he said, sipping on his drink. "Now, about me getting a full body make-over, where should we start?" Damien smiled as the question echoed into the air. He knew they had to get in the car that Nathaniel mentioned earlier, but what about the rest. It would be hard to change every aspect of himself, but he could try. Damien started to walk toward the back, where the car was, then paused. "Before we change anything about me, is there an amusement park around here?" he asked, knowing how crazy he sounded. He asked, because he had never ridden a roller coaster before, and before his life changed, he wanted to ride one.
-
Nathaniel hesitantly pulled his hands from his pocket, nodding slowly as he understood what the other meant. He found it to be a rather kind gesture, thanking him in a hushed tone. His heart pounded somewhat harshly as it was a fair amount to digest in such a short period of time. He assumed that he would help the boy change his appearance as well as find a place to stay, and that would be the end of their encounter. It would be amusing for even just a short while, and when they would have to part ways, he would return to business as usual in his typically isolated way of life. "Renewing your look will be easy." His eyebrows furrowed upon hearing the question about the amusement park. Meshoppen was a small place, and in order to find leisurely activities, one had to drive far into the surrounding areas. His face seemed somewhat melancholy as he stated, "We don't have many thing like that. The closest good amusement park is about two hours away." He wondered what the boy was getting at as the idea was so out-of-the-blue. It was also a pinch nervewracking as the furthest Nathaniel had ever driven was his job, a mere thirty five minutes away. Two hours was a stretch, so if the other male wanted to escape to the park, he wouldn't be sure of how to react.
-
"Ah, alright." Damien looked a bit sad to hear that the amusement park was so far away. He would just have to wait for another day, when he and Nathaniel had more time on there hands. Damien looked around the coffee shop one last time, and smirked. It was funny how his life could just change in a coffee shop, with a stranger, but it did. He glanced out of the front window, staring at the tour bus. That was his dream, sitting outside with his 'friends' in it, but now it was someone else's. Damien turned toward the back, and walked out the back way toward the black car. As he walked around to the passengers side, he took a deep breath and opened the door. This was one of those moments, that you knew was a life-changer and Damien was glad as he sat down into the car.
-
Before Nathaniel left the establishment, he was sure to reward Suzanne's hardworking demeanor with a generous tip. She was sure to ruffled his hair one last time before he scurried away, hurrying to his jet black Camry, taking note of the fact that Damien had already found his way into the vehicle. He slid into the driver's seat, tossing his own belongings into the backseat. He hurried to turn the heat on, the harsh cold already working to nip at his cheeks and nose. As the warm air began blasting out of the vents, he leaned against his seat as a wave of relief washed gratefully over him. He turned to Damien after adjusting his seatbelt over himself. "Now, before I pull out of the lot and head to a shop for clothes, I need to know that you really want out of your situation. I just don't see why you'd want to trade it away, but that's me. Are you sure?"
-
Damien listened as Nathaniel talked and then sighed. "I know it doesn't seem like I should give up fame for a normal life, but when all you do is travel it gets old. Also, the way media portrays you when you're famous is kind of sickening. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, yes I'm sure." he said, finishing his sentence. It felt slightly chilly in the car, so Damien rubbed his hands together, knowing the heat would soon have the car stuffy and him dying for a breath of the chilly air. As Damien sat in the car, he thought of everything he was leaving behind, and somehow felt satisfied. As the car pulled away from the coffee shop, Damien took a glance and looked at Nathaniel, wondering what his life was like and what had brought him to the coffee shop tonight. Maybe it was just a coincidence that they both were here.
