She smiled and continued her errands. She had no idea how long his journey would be... So she hoped the two day amount of food she packed him was enough.

Josh looked at the map and decided to walk up the eatside of the mountain because it was the least steep. -
Meanwhile, a girl named Lucia was reading a spell book. She lived on the east side of the mountain, and her job was to guide travelers to the top. She floated above the two days climb, waiting.

When Josh got to the east side of the mountain he looked up and seen how far he had to walk to get to the top.

Lucia looked down and saw a boy at the bottom of the mountain. If he had the tools, he could scale the mountain and be up in an hour. If he didn't, he could walk the trail and be there in two days. She knew he couldn't see her, because even living in the middle of the mountain, it was extremely high. She could only see him because of her magic. She knew it was against the rules to help the boy until he got to her home, so she got a book and waited.

Josh looked in his bag to see if he had any tools to help him climb the mountain which did so he put it on and started climbing.

Lucia watched the boy climb up. She knows in order to prove he's worthwhile, she had to throw in some challenges. She told a bird to fly in the way of his axe. And the bird did so.

Josh didn't see the bird until it was too late so he accidentally hit it on the foot and it started to attack him.

Lucia called the bird to return, but the bird was too angry to listen. She watched as the bird attacked him.

Josh got tired of the bird, snatched it out the air and placed it on a branch so it would leave him alone.

Finally, the bird listened and returned. Lucia planned a new test. She got a gopher to steal some of the boy's food or tools. The gopher crawled up to the boy and snatched a piece of bread from his backpack.
