Teddy shook her head and sighed, "You are definitely right, this is a s--- move. I just... I can't believe you just show up here with a child. What the hell, really." She mumbled the last part. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed again, crossing her arms and leaning on the wall more. "I... I just don't... I don't understand what you want from me. I... I can't just send you off with money, Val, you should know that. I don't know much about raising children either! I... I don't know how much I can help you Val." She said quietly looking over where the bathroom with a sigh, "What do you expect me to do?" She mumbled. She felt horrible, she didn't know what she could do, she couldn't just write him a check and send him off. She groaned an hit her head on the wall she was leaning on lightly. "What do you need, Val? I... I can't promise anything, you need to know that..."

(Sorry for the late response.)
Valentine dipped his head, feeling ashamed of himself. Even though the two of them weren't dating at the moment, he felt embarrassed, as if making Teddy mad was the worst thing in the world to him. "I know, and I'm sorry. I was going to come alone, but I can't afford a babysitter for him..." He trailed off, watching her turn her head back to look to see if Blair was done. He tugged on his shirt sleeve, clearing his throat. "I don't want money," he said finally. "I just need support. I need him to have a mother figure. I'd ask someone else, but I don't trust them. Not like I trusted you." Valentine watched as she hit her head against the door, and he held out a hand, lightly touching her shoulder. He couldn't bear to see her look so conflicted. It was all his fault. He felt pain and regret bubbling inside of him. "Can we come over from time to time? Or something like that? I have some parenting books I got from a store that I've been trying to read.. It would be helpful to have two sets of eyes and brains going through them." -
Teddy sighed heavily and glanced at the hand on her shoulder, she took a large breath, and shook her head, "Okay, Val, you are not learning parenting from a f---ing book, those are written by people with like eight degrees in psychology and zero children and wouldn't know how to raise a child if you threw one at them, first of all. Second, if you can't afford a babysitter while you come over here what are you going to do when you go to work? Hes what four? Five? Hes starting school soon, if he's not already there meaning you need someone to watch him before and after if you're working. Three I know you are desperate need for help here but please stop for a moment, I'm going to assume you live in an apartment, probably the king bachelor pad of an apartment, you can't raise a child in that." She said staring at his shirt not looking at him directly, " Look I... I have a b---- of a boss, I don't pay rent because along with half the block my dad owns the building, I just deal with tennants. I can help you, Val but I need you to tell me what you need." She said, she knew she couldn't leave him stranded, why, because the kid didn't deserve it, Val ,maybe, but not the kid.

Valentine snorted, crossing his arms. He felt as if he were back in the past. They would have small arguments like this all of the time; usually ones where Teddy was absolutely right, but he stubbornly refused to believe it. "Books are important to learning," he retaliated. "You can learn a lot from them. Otherwise, why did all of our teachers demand that we read? And why was all of our homework in them? Because they're valuable sources of information." He turned his head away, a childish move, but one that he always hoped would sway her opinion. He could hear the sound of toilet water being flushed- Blair would be out soon. However, his attitude disappeared once she mentioned his job. "I've been ditching my job, Teddy." Valentine looked at her, swallowing. "They're being slightly lenient, seeing as how I'm in college and I now have a son to take care of, but.. I've been with him the entire time. I've never once gotten anyone else to take care of him. But it's getting a little hard to manage, which is why I'm.. Here. And, yeah, I... Live in an apartment, but the kid is fine! We each have our own bedroom. There's a bathroom, and a little kitchen, and-- You're right, Teddy. It's a s---ty place to raise a kid. I don't have the money to take him anywhere else, though." Before he could continue, he heard a door open. Soon, Blair had exited the bathroom, and was now standing behind Teddy. He stared up at her, then looked to Valentine. In a cheerful tone, he said, "Her bathroom is pretty, dad. I like it. I want a pretty bathroom."

Teddy smiled slightly remembering their bickering when they were younger, "You weren't really listening to me." She mumbled with a smile. Her smiled raised as it got a little more serious, she jumped slightly hearing the boy behind her, she looked back at him and smiled slightly. She looked back at Val, "Why don't you come drop the little one off here tomorrow, go to class, work. I'll watch him." She said, "Would that make you feel better?" She asked her eyes softening slightly. She ran a hand through her short hair and bit her lip, before putting it in her pocket, "I'm not in school and I've been meaning to quit for a while anyway, I can watch the little man while you're busy. If you'd like, if I'm still on that trusted list." She said with a chuckle.

(I apologize for the late response, I've been distracted from roleplays.)
Valentine scoffed, placing a hand over his chest. "I beg to differ," he began, feeling offended. "I was listening... Somewhat, anyway." He sighed, dropping it when he noticed that her attention was on his son. Something inside of him bubbled up at her look. It was familiar, he realized, but it was slightly different than what he was thinking of. He couldn't put his finger on the proper emotion, though. "Are you sure?"
Blair, who wasn't really positive on what was going on, looked up at Teddy with a rather confused expression. He didn't really know her, nor was he sure why he and his father were there. "Wait, what's a little one?" Blair piped up, trying to understand the situation. Valentine picked him up, snorting. "You're a little one," he responded before looking at the girl across from him. It dawned on him that she was being a lot nicer because his son was there. He wasn't sure whether to appreciate that or not. "Mm.. Well, if you're sure you don't mind watching him, that would be nice. You've.. Always been on the trusted list." He mumbled the last bit, trying to hide a forming blush. -

Sorry, I've been pretty distracted lately, I had a school trip out of country and an ISU due.)
Teddy chuckled quietly, "Yeah, I'm sure. I wouldn't of offered if I wasn't." She looked over at Blair as he talked and snorted quietly, she watched Valentine with a small smile and she repositioned herself on the wall. She wasn't sure if Valentine had shown up at her apartment because he really wanted her help specifically or because he knew she was the only one who wouldn't kick his ass to the curb, she shrugged off the thought, "I don't mind, Val." She said and shook her head slightly, "What time do you want to drop him off tomorrow?" She asked. -
(Oh, it's fine! You can take as much time off of the roleplay that you need. I've been pretty lacking, too, and I haven't had nearly as much as you have.)
Valentine muttered a soft thank you, pulling Blair over and resting his hand on his shoulder. He smiled at Teddy, a sigh escaping his lips. He was grateful that he could still rely on her. He knew that from everyone else, she had really been someone more special than one of his toys. It was why he had asked her for help. "Thank you, again," he repeated. "It means a lot, I swear. I.. Hm, what time do you want him?"
Blair looked up at Teddy, his hands messing with his jacket zipper. He wasn't completely sure about the exchange going on between the two adults, but he did know he'd be getting watched by her tomorrow. -
Hey are you like over loaded on rps right now?)
Teddy shrugged, part of her enjoyed the small fact that she could help, she loved that idea. She didn't want either of them to struggle, she knew that Valentine could handle himself but he wasn't so sure about with the kid, well of course he was asking for help but it was difficult alone, and he was adapting, she wasn't going to judge. Maybe she should... is that what people were suppose to do in this situation was it really a normal situation though, she was sure most other people would of slammed the door in his face regardless of the child. She just wasn't like that...
"It doesn't matter much to me." She said quietly, "Just drop him off on your way or whatever, I'll be here." She said. -
(No, not really. I'm quite comfortable on the amount I'm in. Are you overloaded at all? It's OK to be honest.. If you are, I don't want you to push yourself.)
Valentine sighed in relief, tugging at his shirt. He smiled down at Blair, hopeful that some stress would disappear. After a moment, he returned his gaze to Teddy. "I'll drop him off around eight o' clock, then," he dipped his head gratefully. "You don't know how grateful I am. You're one of the only people I trust, and I don't know what I would have done without you..." He immediately straightened himself, looking serious. "I'll get you a bag of everything he needs. Snacks, toys, things of that nature. Oh, and he still uses diapers, though he's likely going to stop getting them on his next birthday.." He nudged Blair, showing him that he was proud. Blair stuck his chest out, grinning at Teddy. "Maybe even earlier!" the young child cooed, placing his hands on his hips. "Plus, I'm a good boy. I take naps whenever I'm told, and I color quietly..."
