Gray nodded with her mouth a thin line and once Sans wasn't looking, she took another step back. She couldn't make herself trust anyone down here anymore. Except Frank.

"Look, Gray. Us monsters don't enjoy what we're doing. There are twisted ones like that flower, but that's it." Sans said, sitting in the corner "But I doubt anything I say will earn your trust. Or belief."

'You got that right,' Gray said in her mind. Out loud she said, "Well I might trust you in time. Which I'm afraid we don't have a lot of, do we?" Gray said, sitting next to him.

"Nah. They never do."

"They?" Gray asked him. She tilted her head the slightest bit.

"Nah, never mind. I understand." Sans shrugged "Eager to get home."

"I swear if you don't give me a clear answer Sans I'm going to
light you on firetickle you until your nose bleeds," Gray said. She was just kidding of course. You could tell by the way she was slightly smiling. -
"Every human never wants to stay at least a while. If you go, Franklin'll go. I've never been friends with a human before. I get it, but sometimes I just.." Sans trailed off, holding back tears.

Gray lost the slightest hint of her smile as she saw the water welling in his eyes. She patted his back. "I would offer to take you with us, but humans have changed. They're probably worse than when you remeber them. More greedy, more separated. Scared about different things, scared to accept anything new," Gray said.

"You're right. I mean, look at you." Sans joked, a smile there for a second.

Gray smiled back, slightly bumping him playfully. "Hey, look at yourself, wise guy," she said smiling.

"Wise guy? I'm only 19!" Sans protested playfully.

"Fine, Smart Aleck," Gray said with her tongue stuck out.

Sans stuck his tongue out, smiling. His tongue was on the longer side, and it was blue. The weird thing is it seemed to glow.

"What's with the glowy blue tongue?" Gray asked, poking him in the belly. She was still smiling.
