I was thinking and I was like 'OMG it be so cute!" So yeah...
Sebastian wasn't really concerned over weather or not he'd make it in time, he was going over the seed limit, sure but he was "following trafic" so it was okay. He pulled into the school and parked the car and went in, he could tell be would barley make it to class on time juging by the ammount of people in the hallway, he has to speed walk to make it to his locker on the other side of the school from here student parking was. He fumbled to get the right stuff in his bag not wanting to come back to his locker if he didn't have to.Sebastian barley made it to class, he literly walked in as the bell rung and was scolded by his teacher and he walked to his seat it was probably less than five minuets into the lecture when he got lost.
The rest of the day went on forever as it usually did, the same as any other really. He was excited for his spare during seventh so he could go sit somewhere and do nothing, take a few pictures and not feel like an idiot. But that was mercilessly shattered when his english teacher asked him to come see him during his spare, sure, he wasn't that great in english but it was the deadly seventh period and Seb was trying to avoid the jock, for some reason and his 35% wasn't that bad, right? He was useless in the subect anyways so it didn't matter, it wouldn't help. He closed his eyes and tugged at his beanie before pushing his glasses up on his nose. He didn't know weather to knock or just walk in considering the period had started he just knocked. -
No that is perfect!!!!!!!!
As it was seventh period, Zane was in one of his favorite English teacher's rooms. The man was well versed in all forms of English. He taught AP English 3, the class Grayson was taking, normal English 3, and Honors Rhetoric for sophomores. At that moment, Grayson was off at his designated area, his reading glasses resting on the bridge of his nose as he stared down at test papers, using his red marker to mark incorrect answers on a vocabulary test. Some of the incorrect answers shocked him, the words seemed so simple to recall and spit back onto the piece of paper. He bit his lip, throwing a glance to the teacher, Mr. Tennerson. The man was furiously grading Rhetoric essays, his tongue sticking slightly out of his mouth. "I'm expecting a student, so don't be alarmed if one comes in." Grayson nodding, shooing the man away as he grade the papers he was working on.
Grayson was nearing the end when he came across Pauly's paper. Thankfully, the other male managed to score relatively high on the test, earning an eighty seven. He shook his head, recalling how worked up the boy had been that he needed to study during practice if he was ever going to pass the quiz. Grayson chuckled almost silently, setting the stack of papers down for a moment. He stretched out when he heard a knock on the man's door. The teacher cleared his throat, "Be a dooooll and get that for me." Grayson laughed, sauntering to the door and opening it, not bothering to look at who was outside when he turned to head back to the aid's desk. He adjusted his deep brown spectacles, waiting patiently for the visitor to enter. -
Lol when I read that my first reaction was 'Well he better of not marked any of Sebastians tests he probably got like three right.'
Sebastian pulled his hoodie on over his head and waited for the door to be opened and it suddenly hit him how embarrassing this would be, the two males in their were both very well versed in the english language while he could barley read a Robert Munch book with out crying or screaming out in frustration. He was debating on weather or not it was too late to run down the hall and before the door opened when he heard talking, he blushed and told himself he was being stupid but it didn't work, not in the slightest.
The door opened and he tugged at his hood pulling it down over his face more or well trying to. He knew that under any second glance it would be obvious that it was him because of the two bags, the school one and the camera one but he was hoping their wasn't a second glance. He walked over to the teacher keeping his head as down as he could without running into anything. He knew a blush covered his face but did his best to ignore it hoping the teacher would to. -
lOL STOOOOP
It didn't even take Grayson a moment to recognize who the boy was. He grinned from ear to ear, examining the other male's appearance for a few seconds. The teacher paused, welcoming the other boy. "Sebastian! Pleasure to see you here, glad you came. Now, I've been thinking, I know you're a driven student. I think you just need a little more help. And so, it seems as though you and Grayson have met. He's my teacher's aid. As you know, this is only given to students who are particularly gifted in the subject their helping with. For this reason, I've come to the decision that he will be your tutor. We'll see if you improve." Mr. Tennerson then clapped his hands. "You two get to know each other. I have to go run copies." He hurried out of the classroom with a paper in hand.
Grayson threw a wink in Sebastian's direction, waving suavely. He was both ecstatic that the boy was there and excited he was going to spend time with the focus of his interest. He pat the seat opposite of the desk with his foot, gesturing for the boy to join him. He had a folder of papers to work with in the sense of tutoring the other male. He sighed happily as he waited for the individual to come over to him. -
Sebastian looked at the teacher not being distracted because of what he's saying. He looked at the teacher horrified of the rash decision, yes that might of been a good decision for a normal person but this would probably mess up his mind more because he'll be so embarrassed because of the illiterate mess he was. He was frozen dead on the spot, it was terrifying to him, he was going to down right waist this guy's time because he couldn't say, 'Oh yeah I'm sorry, I'm a witch, I can't read because I don't have anyone to teach me tricks to read or write in human languages' as the teacher left the next few second felt like minutes to him.
He shook himself out of it and pulled his hood off his head, he managed to keep the blush at bay as he saw the male wink. He stiffly walked over to the chair and sat down placing his school bag on the ground and the camera bag on top of it. He closed his eyes taking a minute to calm himself down to the best of his abilities when he opened his eyes it hit him like a very large truck he looked at him and nibbled on his lip preparing him for how much he'll have to concentrate on this to make the least amount of a fool of himself as possible. -
"First of all," Grayson stated, "I'm glad to be your tutor. And second, nice to see you again." The boy leaned forward, his eyes soft with a hint of flirtiness. It was no lie that when the teenager decided he was interested in an individual, he went right for that certain someone. He rested his elbows on the desk, and then placed his chin in his hands, staring at the other boy. With one hand, he slid the folder of papers to the space in between them. He knew that there were various vocabulary study sheets and reading passages inside of the folder, and he always found that to be a rather boring way of teaching. When he managed to make eye contact, he said in a low voice,
"We can learn this the boring tutor way, or we can learn it the fun way. Now, I'm not sure about you, but I would take the fun way anyway. That's up to you, of course." He opened the folder, revealing the sickening amounts of paperwork. "Tennerson said I could use these as a guideline. You don't have to do these if we do it the cool way." He wiggled his eyebrows, placing the identification card around his neck along with his key to the classroom. He waited for the other boy to respond, staring at him with interest. -
"Well at least one of us is happy about it." Sebastian said bitterly, "You look like crap how can you be so happy?" He said a groan seeping through his voice. He bit his lip hard when he saw the bit of flirtiness that was in his eyes. At first he didn't mind the idea of seeing Grayson again but then he healed him and now he knows about his english skills, or lack of them. He looked down at the folder ttrying to conceal his horror so many papers, way to many words. He tried to keep his eyes away from Greysons but failed and stuck an almost glare on his face.
When the papers were shown to him he felt like he was going to puke, he was so horrified all attemps at a poker face fell off his face and he stared in horror. He barley held back a gag and covered it with an all too fake cough and he started nibbling his lip, then he realized that he had said something he looked up to a Greyson that was wiggling his eyebrows, "Yeah sure, whatever works. It doesn't matter to me, its your time to." He said hoping that even made sence for what he was asked, if he was even asked something. -
Grayson was taken aback, recalling just why he looked like s---. His night had been long, depressing, and eventful. In order to conceal how surprised he was over the boy's statement, he just shrugged. "Long night, I guess." An uncomfortable demeanor overtook him, making his stomach tighten in a small bout of upset. Most things people said didn't exactly get to him, but what the other spoke this time around hurt. It wasn't the boy's fault, really, moreso his own. He swallowed heavily, closing the folder and bringing it closer to himself. The teenager unlocked one of the drawers of his desk, setting the folder inside. He used his foot to close it while opening another, now revealing two copies of The Crucible by Arthur Miller and a ring holding together multicolored laminated vocabulary cards.
The male stood from his desk, smiling and raising his eyebrows at the other. He pulled his reading glasses from his face. "Look. I'm not a bad kid. We'll get along. I promise. I may seem like a jock from your point of view, but I care about school and people and I'm nice. We're going to be spending a lot of time together and I don't want it to be bad time." He then strolled over to the door of the classroom, gesturing for Sebastian to follow him. He hoped he wasn't giving off the newly negative mood he was in. Being nice was one of his specialities, and when people were rude or didn't seem to like him, it worried him. -
Sebastian knew that cover up all too well, he used it with his mother all the time when he was younger and even now on the occations he saw her. He realized what he said and something bad could of happened, he never thought about what he said and if he felt the need to defend himself it was way worse, it didn't get him in as much trouble as his actions but it made his feel like s--- when he made someone else feel bad because of something stupid he said. He watched him move mostly looking at his face, it took him a moment to realize that he was showing him something, he looked at it not even hiding how skeptical he was.
He pushed his glasses up on his face as the other male took his off. He sighed lightly and looked at the floor, he grabbed his camera and go up slowly, he walked over slowly. He nudged him with his shoulder, "You're going to have to try harder then that, jock." He said cracking a small smile and walking out of the classroom, he started walking down the hall, "So meathead where we going?" He asked hoping it was obvious he was joking since he had already wiped the smiloff his face. -
Grayson could feel himself growing very slightly annoyed, but he pushes that feeling away, aware of what was possible to occur if he allowed his emotions to take control of him. He clutched the two copies of The Crucible to his chest, explaining, "Well, in honor of the witchcraft that is involved with this lovely work, we're going to go to the garden, where we will read a few excerpts and have a little fun with them." He flashed another smile. "Meathead? Has a bit of a ring to it, yeah?" He closed the door to the classroom once both of them were out, locking the door, fully aware that Mr. Tennerson had a key to the area. He reminded himself of the excerpts he'd chosen and made a mental note to take the lesson slowly.
Grayson had been informed that Sebastian lacked skill in English, and to combat this, he would have to be patient and allow the other boy to absorb every lesson to the best of his ability. He was also rather excited to be teaching in the garden. There was a multitude of items stationed there that would be useful in putting messages across. Grayson was, thankfully, very passionate about the craft of the English language, as well, and that would help to a great degree. When he found himself standing in front of the door that lead to the garden, he peered at Sebastian with stone cold eyes full of seriousness. "Also, I like helping. I hope that you take these lessons seriously. I have thought them through and I think that what I have prepared should be fun. I promise." He then smiled to signify that the extreme seriousness was notging but a faade. "Shall we?" That was when he pushed the door open, revealing a lovely stone path surrounded by various plants and flowers. Small setups were growing carrots, onions, broccoli, spinach, and many other useful cooking ingredients. A few wooden, brick red picnic tables were scattered about for student use. Grayson waited for Sebastian's response, mentally preparing himself for anything the male may have to say. -
*nothing but a facade
-
Sebastian perked up very noticalably similar to a puppy, "Theirs witchcraft in this book?" He asked barley trying to hide his excitement, he liked the outside although he doubted that it would help him consentrate especially since it was a garden, "Yes, Meathead. It was a joke cause you're actually smart." He said not even concidering how it sounded. He walked keeping up with him but not really concerned over it that much, he didn't really know where the garden was since he didn't spent much more time at the school than what was necessary.
The serious look that he was given sent shivers down his spine, he felt embarrassed when the smile came but didn't do anything. He smiled slightly looking at the garden it reminded him of the one his gandmother grew although hers would probably be more suited for a lesson on 'witchcraft' considering thats basically what the herbs she grew were for not to mention it was maintained by magic. The garden was probably long dead since it was her magic that kept it alive and Seb hadden't been up their since she died but it could still be growing fine for all he knew. He didn't really have anything to say he just walked into the garden. -
The male followed suit, shutting the door behind them. He observed the area for a moment, nodding when he assured himself none of the herbs poisonous to his kind were being grown. He scoped out an appropriate picnic table for them to do their work at, eventually picking a table near one of the trees that would provide shade in the relatively warm weather. The copies of The Crucible were placed onto the table. He was cautious about this, wanting the books to stay in the perfect condition they were in. He held the vocabulary ring tightly, peering over at Sebastian. "You can sit next to me to read and across from me for vocabulary. We're going to start with vocabulary, so just..sit, I guess." He was attempting to be careful in the manner in which he was wording his statements. Offending the receiver of the tutoring was never a smart idea, especially when they were of the same character as the other male.
He was in love with the condition it was outside. The air was crisp yet the sun was shining to the point that it was relatively warm and comforting. The flowers and plants were being well tended to, which always made him happy. The garden was a place of tranquility that made it simple to be calm. It was almost therapeutic and allowed for the individual to sit back and relax. Grayson waited for the boy to join him, almost wishing they were doing academic things. It would have been nice to use the garden differently, chill out and get to know one another before they had to work with each other. He itched his chin, wondering how Sebastian would be in terms of actually cooperating and learning. -
Seb walked not paying atention to Grayson and looking at the plants, he saw one plant particular that was smaller than the others. When he tried to move their was a soft know sort of at his mind, he tried to ignore it but failed because is started pounding at his mind harder. Something he'd learned about the earth since he started lerning magic, the earth was calm, til it wasn't then you were squished by a bolder, or choked, and today it was the latter. An iron grip wraped around his neck, something he could only feel, Its going to die! Its going to die! Its going to die! Its going to die! It seemed it hiss in his mind, Help it! Help it now! The grip got tighter, it took everything he had not to make noises and draw attention although his face was probably bright red, he was just happt he was facing away from the male. I'll try! He squeaked back in his mind, it seemed so reluctant but it slowly let go, he gasped for breath and leaned over trying to get air in his lungs. Sorry, Sebastian. it whispered quietly, his building headache dissapeared. "Its fine don't worry." He whispered, it was, he was use to something like that the only thing was it be hard to explain the bruises of hands that would appear on his neck soon, but he might be able to fix them without Grayson noticing.
He walked over his hand shaking slightly and his legs a little wobbly, he wouldn't on normally been so obedient but he felt a little off at the moment, "Do you know who maintains the garden?" He asked sitting down, "Cause if you do you should tell them that the plant over there is going to die soon." He said and placed the camera case on the table. He crossed his shaking hands and put them on the table and rested his chin on his arms. He had a bad feeling about this before it even started but to even try to act like a normal person needig a tudor he'd need to calm himself down first. -
