"Perfect," she meowed. She watched as Dustkit placed his paw on Tigerkit.

Duskstar purred. "They're strong already."

"Of course," she meowed, "Their father is the strongest tom." Rosekit mewed in hunger. Snowwillow let the kits suckle.

Duskstar smiled.
Lilyleaf came to check the kits where eating. She meowed, "there is a long line of visitors outside. Do you want them to come in now or shall I tell them later?" -
"Er-okay," Snowwillow smirked.

"Let them in."

Lilyleaf went out and half the Clan flooded the den.

"Er- hi!" Snow willow called. A small ginger apprentice named Mousepaw called out, "What was it like?" "Um, well it hurt...a lot." "What'd their names be?" "Um, Icekit, Rosekit, Dustkit, and Tigerkit." "They're so pretty!"

Tigerkit let out an angry mewl. "Hazelpaw stepped on Tigerkit's tail!" called Mousepaw. Hazelpaw shrank in her fur. "Sorry."
"Out, now. You've seen the kits." meowed Duskstar, herding out the cats then following them.
Only Ivyheart remained.
"Snowwillow, my sister." her eyes shone like the stars on the darkest night. "These cats are so tiny. You've never met them before, yet I can see you would give your dying breath to save them. Even when you have not seen them doing something, even asleep, you are there for them." her eyes where full of fascination. "Snowwillow..."
"I have something to tell you." -
"Ivyheart..." Snowwillow's heart filled with happiness and loneliness as her sister meowed that... "Tell me." She opened her eyes.

"I know this sounds weird, right now, but-" anxiety entered her gaze, along with joy. "I waited so long for this," she whispered, so quietly she didn't think any cat could hear her. "Oh, Snowwillow, I'm expecting kits!"

Snowwillow meowed with joy. "Really? That's wonderful!!" She nuzzled her sister. "Get Mousepaw and Hazelpaw to make you a nest - right next to mine!"
