C1 is a pretty normal teen, if you ignore the fact that their a genius, who had just transfered highschools. Soon after they start school c1 meets another teen(c2) and almost immediately notices something about them is a little off.
C2 is an only child, but thats not a good thing. Their father is an abusive drunk, their mother rents c2 out as a sex toy to make money and they live in a celler.
After c1 finds out c2's secret and tells the cops, c1 offers to have c2 live in there home until they can afford a place of their own
Or
C1 is a young human who has been able to see spirits there whole life. They don't know why though. But when they find a dragon spirit(c2) in the forest, badly wounded, c1 learns that they are not the only one who can see spirits. There is an organization that is after an item called the 'world stone' which can give the holder god like abilites.
C2 is the guardian of the World stone and was attacked by the organization in there attempt to get c2 to tell them where it is -

Skeith stared at the ground as she walked through the school. As usual, she was one of the first students here but that doesn't bother her. To be honest, She liked it that way. After all, there are no crowds or bully's to worry about in an almost empty school -

Mathew stood in the hallway of the school reading one of his favorite books, which was more of a philosophy book than anything. He arrived to the school early, as usual, so he could do some reading in the silence of the school halls and think on that in which he read about. It also have him time to work on some things he had, and the such. -
Skeith turned a corner and noticed a boy reading but she ignored him for now as she continued to walk, limping slightly. She lifted her head and looked around to see where in the school she was before she started walking to her locker

Marty glanced up from his book as he heard footsteps, curious to who they were from. He observes the girl he spotted with the corner of his eye, seeing her limp a bit as he hmm'd. He stared at her for a few more seconds before closing his book and standing straight up, more curious about them.

She winced slightly when she lifted her arm to grab another book that was higher up before she noticed the boy wasn't reading anymore. She glanced at him threw her hair and tried not to panic when she saw him looking at her
