Asher smiled a tiny bit. "You are good at stealing things, eh? That might keep me entertained and that may save our asses in the near future. Keep that gift. I may know everything in this Coven but I know the biggest secrets and concerns too." Asher looked at the door, realizing someone was coming. "Paolini was an important role in my life. Yes, he did turn me in to a cannibal but he allowed me to live. Not many people trust someone who kills their own mother." Asher released Sam and grabbed the collar of the male's shirt, straightening it. "Someone will notice my mark and will soon realize that there is something interesting about you. Everyone will realize I had a reason. I never imagined that I would meet another vampire with the taste of human blood. It's very strange but I won't question it." The door slammed open that moment and Tally pushed her way in the room. "Oh. My god. It is true." Tally giggled. "The famous Asher has someone in his bedroom. I didn't see that coming. Hehe. Wait. A moment. The famous Asher has someone in his room and the person isn't even from our Coven. This is so scary. Do you have a fever or something, Asher? Are you going insane, Ash? I heard the rumors but I didn't think they were true. Who are you, boy?" Tally observed Sam and wrapped her cape around her. Asher snorted, honestly displeased with Tally.
-
Sam smiled and light tugged at his hair, "I'm here for what ever you need me for, Ash." He moved his hands out of the other males hair and slid them down to his neck placing one on eather side of his neck and placing his thumbs on his cheeks. "Not many people trust someone whos spent most of their life stealing either." Sam leaned up and kissed Ashers nose, "I'm sorry." He said quietly. Sam jumped away from Asher as the door opened but he knew his reflexes weren't fast and that she saw, a blush started to sneak onto his face. He slowly becaame more red and slowly moved his hands over his face to hide how red it was.
-
Asher's eyes followed Tally, As she swiftly moved herself around the room. She chuckled watching Sam turned red. She observed them. Tally was very small and short for someone her age. He could already tell she was ready to scowl. "Asher. Who is he and what place does he stand here? What role does he stand in this game? In my game?" Tally questioned. Asher realized it wasn't a scowl on her face. Her expression was tired and unfocused. She lightly tapped her combat boot on the floor. Tally liked to have everyone figured out. She thought everyone was parts on a chess board. Asher shook his head and smiled softly. He took Sam's forearm. "It's okay." He softened him. His red orbes followed back to Tally. She was impatient. "I don't know what role he stands." Asher rolled his eyes, not impressed with her statement. "Answer this, Asher. What happens when the knights leave the king and queen unprotected during the chess game?" Tally's mouth curled up in a smirk. Asher yawned, pretending to not care. "I dunno. I'm not much of a chess player. What about you, Sam? You like chess?" Asher chuckled, trying to ignore Tally and piss her off. She stomped her foot. "You idiot! Wrong Answer! Checkmate! The answer is Checkmate! All the pieces protect. You are that Knight, Ash. You are that piece to the game and now, it looks like we have a new player." Tally's eyes sparkled, as she glared up at Sam.
-
Sam hid behind his hands not looking at the girl or Asher, he peaked out from behind them when Asher grabbed his arm. He smiled slightly, he didn't like being refered to a chess piece, he didn't like the game that much but purely because Jasper wasn't that smart so it became too easy too quickly to beat him when they were kids and the girls refused to learn, that and you couldn't really scam anyone from a chess game so the knowlage was useless to him really. He thought about the question she asked and got distracted by thinking and was broke out of it as she talked again. Sam bit his lip and debated saying something, he looked at Asher and nibbled on his lip a bit to hard again, he looked back at her then his gaze shifted closer to the ground, "You're wrong." He said calmly.
-
Asher looked back at Sam, studying his face. "How am I wrong, my dear? I'm always correct. You might be able to bash my face in but I'll always corner you in knowledge." Tally wrapped a lock of her hair around her finger. Asher took a breath and thought. He cocked his head, listening to them. "Tally, if you don't have a game at all, what's your next move?" Asher questioned. "Then, you've lost." Tally smiled back at him. Asher curled his fingers up in to a fist. He wondered if Tally was right about the games. Asher wondered if he would checkmate or not play this round. At this hand, Paolini was playing against Asher and Asher had just took his knight.
-
It's been a while since I've played chess so I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense.)
Sam almost laughed, well he did snort, for more than one reason, "Hate to break it to you but I really couldn't bash your face in. Also, it's quite simple how you're wrong." He said he took a breath ignoring Asher, Sam was way too into this now. "Without knights you can still win, you still have all he other pieces, while the king is virtually useless the rooks, bishops, Queens, and don't forget pawns are there. While the pawns are almost just as useless as the king they are annoying as hell if their in the way. The knights paths are restricted way to much than the other pieces making it not worth it. The queen can to what everit wants as long as doesn't shadow movements of a knight making the queen the best piece. Also me not having knights was a handicap against one of my friends. " Sam paused and smirked, "But you're talking about real life where theirs more than just each of your sixteen pieces, where despite all other thing their are wills and the people have minds of their own, where you might be able to mercilessly sacrifice a piece or a person but will they do as you please? Then their are other people you don't even think of, informants, assassins, leaches... And then their are people like me, who say screw the rest of the world and everybody else and steal, lie and cheat to get what we want and run so fast you don't even know what happened. You can plan and manipulate people as much as you want, [I]my dear[\i], but at the end of the day you don't know what people are going to do." He said once he was finished it clicked what he said and was prepared for the worst. -
Oh, no. You're fine.))
Tally grinned and bowed. "Checkmate, my dear" She smirked and nodded. "I was wondering if you'd catch on. I do agree but the other players have a very salient place. What fun would the game be, if you just aimlessly chased one piece around the board? We make teams. We are like putrid rats. Alone we fall. Together we win." Tally crossed her arms. "Now, we just have to teach Asher this knowledge because he believes he can take on the impossible by himself." She was mocking him, which made Asher annoyed. "Impossible? I don't understand why learning about some stupid board game is going to keep me away from tearing flesh open for food. I don't care about that. The knowledge I need is marksmanship and fighting. I don't care how much you study for some ignorant child's game. If I went up against a few mortal teens, who'd you think would when? The dead or the 13 year olds? I don't need to win some game. I need to work on battle tricks." Asher eyes watched her firmly. "Well. Sigh. At least your friend gets it. What do you think, boy? Do you believe knowledge or Strength is more important?" Tally questioned Sam. -
Sam nodded slightly and tried not to smile, he decided not to argue with her about the 'alone we fall.' because for the amount of times it wasn't true it wasn't worth it. He didn't like that she was purposely trying to get Asher angry but didn't say anything to her about it. He turned to Asher and placed a hand on his arm, "Asher calm down, it's okay." He rubbed his arm lightly trying to calm him down. He flinched as he was spoken to again, he didn't like the attention, "Equal but better together." He said more focusing on Asher then her.
-
Asher thought. "Since, when do we have anything to be calm about? I'm okay." Asher questioned them. "Hmm. So, Asher. Has Paolini seen your friend over here? I'm sure he hasn't, if he's still here. Have you forgotten Paolini don't take strangers politely? I don't think he takes anyone politely." Tally crossed her arms. "He knows that Sam is here." Asher snorted and His eyes drew to Sam. "Well. That's unique. What did he say? Wait. Don't answer that. I'll go ask myself." She flooded out the door, walking a human pace. "She's annoying and still gets on my everlasting nerve," Asher snorted. "I'm surprised you haven't ran away yet. My Coven is annoying." Asher pressed his lips together. "We are probably about to punished by Paolini. That means, we need to get away for awhile. I can't fight him in a small closed up room."
-
Hey um I had a plot for a soap and I was wondering if youd want to do it with me. I dont have it typed or anything it's sort just an idea.)
Sam huffed quietly not liking he response he got but didn't say anything. He flinched as Paolinis name was mentioned and focused all his attention on Asher's arm. He cracked a small smile, "She's not that bad... Is it the chess references? I could teach you to play if that's it." he leaned forward placing his forehead on Asher's shoulder, "I'm sorry I'm so much trouble... W-would it help if I gave him some of my blood? He said something about that earlier o-or if that's not good enough I'm sure I can be use to him somehow... I don't want to get you in trouble Asher... But I don't want to die again either." He said the last part very quietly. -
Yeah, Okay. I'm in.))
Asher raised his eyebrows and thought about that. "Hmm. I like that idea. I've never been one for board games but it beats just waiting for my infinite life to die out." Asher spoke softly. The next statement shocked him. He didn't want that statement to become true at all. He didn't even want to hear it again. "Give him your blood? Do you have a death wish?" Asher tried to keep his words away from being harsh. "Your blood is different and one bite can kill. Paolini is way more powerful than me. I'm stuck being his living parade. You don't have to be. We are supposed to be the predators but to him, we are prey. He'll kill you and he won't regret it. A few seconds and you'll die of blood loss. I can keep him from biting you but I don't think I'll be able to stop him from killing you, if his teeth pierce you. Don't take that chance. Paolini hates you because you're not from his Coven. He doesn't like anyone that he thinks will overpower him." -
Okay I'll make it in a bit.)
Sam nodded slightly. He flinched slightly and gripped onto Asher's arm more, "But Asher what am I suppose to do?! He's a strong leader and... and I'm practically human, he could rip me in half if he wanted to and I couldn't do anything! A-And I don't like this feeling, I'm scared! I haven't been scared since I was a child! I could probably find a way to give him blood and him not have to bite me, would that solve it? No... it wouldn't would it... But Asher he can't hurt you, that's the point of this... If he only hates me because I'm not from here... t-then what if I was in the coven, that could solve the issue right?! Then what do I do for that?" He asked, even as he spoke his mind was going crazy trying to keep a mile ahead of his words. -
Okie.))
Asher was overwhelmed at the moment. He grabbed Sam by the shoulders and shushed him. "You don't have anything to worry about. I'll get everything settled by the morning. You won't give him any of your blood. Don't give anyone your blood. It'd be good, if you didn't even give it to me." Asher kept his face in a stoic expression. It was something he was good at. "You don't have to be afraid. Everything is going to be all right. I promise that nothing will happen to you but you have to stay calm for me. Worrying will get me worried. We will get you in the Coven. That's easy. We will talk to Paolini and give him the price for your stay, which will probably be extra blood from me. Everything will straighten out itself." Asher slightly smiled, trying to comfort Sam. -
I'll make it when I get home.)
Sam shifted his weight from foot to foot. He looked at Asher he moved forwards and wrapped his arms around Asher and hugged him tightly. "I-I'm sorry... I'm just panicking... I'm not like this I swear..." He took a breath and his his face in Ashers chest, "I'll be fine... Just give me a minute." He said closing his eyes and tightening his grip around the male. "Just... I'm sorry." He said, started mumbled something that wasn't actually understandable but it was a ling string of 'I'm sorry' s. -
Asher pressed his lips together. "Stop apologizing," Asher continued, trying his best to calm him. "We'll be okay. Everything will be okay. You don't need to be afraid because fear gets everyone here going. If you're scared, they will smell it and wonder what's the good reason why you're scared." He embraced him back and petted down his hair. He thought about how the weight on the world was just breaking him at the moment. "We should find something entertaining to do. That would help you from not being scared, right? What do you like to do for fun?"
