Kate nipped it off and turned human. She put her hand on the bloody bandage and pealed it off and applied the new bandage. She then looked Shadow in the eyes. "Did you really mean those thing that you said?" She asked.

He nodded

Kate smiled at him. "Thanks," she said as she finished with the bandage. She turned to the hunters body, "Still hungry?"

He nodded

She changed to her cat form and laid down next to the man's arm. She dug her fangs into the hunter's arm and started to eat.

He changed to his dragon form and bit the man's throat

Kate finished eating and licked her lips. She went over to the blanket and curled up. She closed her eyes and licked in her paws, feeling the fall chill.

Shadow finished and then he layed down by her -
Kate shuftled closer, her back fur touching his foot. She could hear two voices outside: "Look over here! Body of a tiger! Vampire's must be here somewhere!" "Yeah! Are they in this cave?" "Nah!" It's near night - they'd be out huntin'!" Her head shot strait up. "S-shadow? There are hunters...outside of the cave!" She whispered to him.

Shadow growled slightly and he covered her with his wing

Kate purred at him, then pointed her tail to the voices that were getting closer.

She got up and ducked near his arm.
