Raven heard him and felt her heart break. "I'm far from the one..." She stood and jumped out of the window with her stuff after writing a fairly complex note. 'Im sorry, Matthew. You've done so much, but I cant bear the pain I feel when I see you, knowing I love you, yet you'd never feel the same. It may be cowardly, but I cant bring myself to say goodbye.'

Mathew flew around and got some strawberries from the fridge and drains the color from those he went to check on how Raven was settling in. He floated in the room but saw no Raven,"I never knew she had to use the lady's room? "He floated around," let alone find it," he said then picked up a yellow note with cursive writing. He read the letter. He thought he would cry," what the glob gave her that idea that I don't love her?!" He said sitting on the perfectly good guest bed in sorrow.

Raven walked through the tunnel, tears rolling down her cheeks though she held her head high. She had a duty to serve. The citizens relied on her, as well as her father.

Mathew just felt his heart snap and was shaking," where is my ex's wand?!" His voice was changed normally and he flew around up stairs trashing his room looking for it then found it in a drawer along with a spell book. He found a long brown cloak and practiced the wand's power carefully. Then he pulled the hood of the cloak over his head and wore a red masquerade mask. He flew out as fast as he could and zoomed through the forest until reaching the place gates. -

Raven jumped in her room. Luckily, she wasn't sent for yet, so she discarded the note and changed before replacing her crown atop her head. -

Raven walked to the competition grounds and sat on her throne where she overseen the competition, wearing her sweetest fake smile. Her hair was braided into a bun in which her tiara rested. -
Mathew stared at the other princes to see what they look like and some were just common folk which easily got him in. He started to look up at the royals," hmm..." He said," she doesn't look happy..." He said one guy next to him scared the last living soul out of him. He looked like the joker with the biggest him in the world not to mention his troll face.

Raven stood and cleared her throat. "As you all know, this competition determines who becomes the next king. The rules are simple, win. Ready? Go!" Raven shouted before sitting.

" wait wha-?!" A guy talked Mathew before he could think," to the death?! No!" He shoved him off then took out a sword he kept with him and pushed the man away!

Raven stared at the competition field, a frown on her face and her head in her hands. She closed her eyes, tired from her walk home.

Mathew swung his blade and just as fast as he pulled on under his cloak they were out of it but on the floor paralyzed. He stole a slight amount of blood but not enough to transform them into a vampire.
