Raven looked away. She didn't want him to see her cry. "My father... Is holding a competition tonight... The prize is... Myself..." She trembled slightly.

Mathew shook," why? What is the competition?" Mathew asked quickly kneeling infront of her. He looked at Raven an uneasy expression on his face and and nervous look too.

"My father never told me... Most likely the strongest magic user... It's for my hand in marriage.. " Raven whispered as a tear rolled down her cheek.

' dang it I don't know any magic' he thought to himself. Mathew hugged Raven slowly," why don't you just run away from them? You do it every night don't you?" He asked softly

Raven then broke down, sobs shaking through her. "I'm a princess! The citizens dint care if I'm happy! They need me to be unhappy! For their sakes!" She cried, unable to hold it in.

" then come with me Raven I could help you I've got an extra room..." He said to Raven releasing the hug. He held her hand in his.

Raven looked at him. "A-are you sure...? Y-you'd be a fugitive, Matthew..." She whispered.

" I don't care about that! Right now you only mater and I need to help you!" He said softly. " Besides I end up getting into trouble a lot but lately I haven't been causing it and if I get blamed for kidnapping a princess who cares!" He said with a slight chuckle

Raven blinked and hugged him tightly, wearing a sad smile. "Thank you... Thank you so much..." She murmured.

Mathew smiled," it's no problem I would hate to be forced into marriage! It's a lot more different in the underworld and if your a guy." He said," we can go when ever your ready but first we need to get a few of your things!" He said

Raven smiled slightly and nodded, pulling away and starting to walk toward the castle.

Mathew followed Raven to the castel," man old wizard king out did himself!" He said with a sigh," does he have security for demons or vampires?" Mathew asked before he continued to float over to Raven.

Raven laughed softly. "Stay here." She jumped between trees and summersaulted on her balcony before grabbing the things shed need and taking off her crown, placing it on top of a note.

Mathew waited patiently for Raven," alright I'll wait..."he said before floating up in criss crossed position.
