Keri stared out of her window blankly as she watched fires in the distance and could hear faint noises of a scream. She hated the war, why did they have to do this anyway? She walked back and went down the hallway towards her room. "The sights, the smells, the sounds. I wish I could escape it all." she said to herself as she stopped at a black wooden door.

Fandomfreak NewbieGracie lied back and closed her eyes. She had been reading about a sweet escape for months now. A planet called Earth. She smiled at the thought before sitting up again. She would escape. And it would be tonight!

Keri opened the door and walked inside of the room, turning on the lights. She walked up to and took a seat on the bed as her eyes caught something on the wall, a poster. "Earth." she said to herself as she stared at it. "Maybe I can get away."

Fandomfreak NewbieGracie waited impatiently for her family to fall asleep. She tapped her fingers on the window, thinking of a plan. Anyway to escape!

Keri grabbed all the money she had found, and a bag filled with spare clothes and some food and the such and walked to the door leading outside. Luckily her family had not gotten home yet so she didn't have to sneak out. She made sure to lock the door behind herself.

Keri looked around to make sure she was alone before running off ahead to where she had heard rumors of a way to get to earth, hoping they were real and not fake.

Fandomfreak NewbieGracie hopped on her bike, pedaling toward a place her friend had told her about... her friend that had died in battle... she wiped away a tear and pedaled faster.

Keri continued to run, being careful to not be spotted by anyone. She ran down an old abandoned street as a shortcut, running faster to get there. "I think I'm close ." she said to herself.

Fandomfreak NewbieGracie skid to a stop in front of an old building before slowly going inside. "Hello? Anyone?" She called before seeing a large machine. Pressing a button, the machine sparked to life, causing her to jump and walk through slowly

Keri came up to a set of stairs going down. "This could be it. I hope." She said as she slowly stepped down to where it leads. "Please let this be it." she walked down the darkening stairs carefully and slowly.

Fandomfreak NewbieGracie blinked as she found herself in a city that she had read about as a smile crawled on hr face. "New York City..." she murmured breathlessly.

A light caught her eyes down at the bottom as she rushed down towards it. "This it! This is my escape." Keri said as she looked at the machine in front of her. She had seen images before but the things it showed were greater. The images it showed of earth. She pressed a random button on it and was covered in a bright, blinding light.

Fandomfreak NewbieGracie began wandering around, knowing she'd need to find a place to stay so she could get a job. She sighed with a frown. But she had no record of being on Earth... how was she to find an employer?

After the light disappeared Keri opened her eyes to see a few people wandering around. "Where am I on earth?" She asked herself as she started walking in a random direction. Her eyes looked up to see it was night here as she smiled.
