Echo ran down the huge hill almost steep and large enough to be called a mountain, she ran knowing she'd be last for many reasons but the biggest one being she was the one on the ground not going from tree to tree unlike someone. She stumbled a few times after a while she realized she took the wrong way down especially as the giant rock approached and then was a steep drop. She picked up speed and kicked off the rock as she jumped down, she pulled out her staff and used it to break the tree branches of the tree which slowed her down a bit she rolled on to the ground and folded her staff as she kept running and put it back on the strap that held her staff on her side which was always cover by a little heart thing on her belt.
Echo slowed as she approached the town, Fina was leaning on the tree closet to town but not over the boarder waiting for her as usual the only difference was some guy yelling at her. Echo pulled her hood down so it hid her more and intended to walk past, she barley passed by the man when he grabbed her wrist, she held in a sigh as she realized she'd almost made it to the corner of the house. Echo looked back at Fina who just had a cocky smirk on as she faced the guy. He shoved Echo as she stumbled over her own feet her hand barley touched the the wall of the house as the straightened out her self, she looked back at Fina again her slight nod that no one would ever be able to see and her eyes that glimmered with a grim tint and excitement and her smile had changed into one that was obviously containing her oncoming joy, these were all signs, signs that Echo didn't want to be here in the next twenty seconds. As Echo walked away from that issue she heard Fina say darkly with a creepy chuckle, "I've never seen you before, boy. You're nowhere close to a messenger." She sentence got quieter as she walked away as it mushed together with the busyness of the street, but she was positive that everyone heard the muffled screams and crys of a man by the forest despite no one acting as if they did. -
Fallen Ranger NewbieMitsuhide did it again. After mastering the last technique that he would definitely have to do tommorow, he was practicing another. He slammed the scythe edge into an imaginary enemy, jumped back, and started spinning his the scythe. His fingers were lightning as they moved, twisted the scythe as fast as they could. The point was to practice attacking, and then immediately using a defensive technique to block any ranged ability. If it worked, anything that came directly to him would be deflected elsewhere or diminished.
"Enough of that." Yarnaros grunted. "Now we try with a real ability."
He got up slowly, taking his time, and walked opposite of Mitsu. He gave a slow smile, before immediately combusting his hand into a green fire. Before he could process what was happening, it was being thrown after him. Mitsu jumped, and ducked both orbs that were shot at him. Yarnaros have him a disapproving frown.
"Block them, properly." He emphasized, before throwing a third and significantly larger fireball. Mitsu sprung into action. His worn muscles immediately recognized the threat and spun his scythe around in an invisible circle. He watched with amazement, as the fireball flew off into a nearby tree, where it was diminished. Yarnaros gave a creepy grin.
"Let's pick up the pace." His hand immediately pointed, and a beam of green fire erupted at him. The deflection process started up again. Mitsu smiled cockily, and laughed.
"Best you got, grandpa?" The term was made to anger, and anger it did. Yarnaros eyes glared. And then suddenly, the heat and pressure hit him harder and faster. Mitsu's eyes widened, as he struggled to keep up. Then the moment came, when he faltered, and green fire hit him right in the head. He was knock backed right into a solid tree.
"Ow..." He muttered slowly, before deciding to take a quick nap. -
After a few minutes of dragging Destan out of bed and arguing over proper clothes for public appearances, Destan and Arika walked down the stairs towards the path to town.
Destan, now properly clothed and looking somewhat presentable, sighed as he walked. "Why can't you just cook something? You're cooking is better then the stuff in the market. It's cheaper too."
"If you'd gotten up earlier, then you would've had some of my cooking. I gave your portion to the child that comes every morning. I called it an extra treat," replied Arika.
"Wha- what?! You gave my food away?!" His eyes narrowed. "When I see that kid again I'm going to-"
"Going to?" Arika questioned. "Going to what?"
"O-oh, nothing..." Destan backed down almost instantly. Arika had a soft spot for children. More so for children that didn't have much to live on. When she was younger she constantly put herself in bad situations to help children.
"Good." Arika smiled kindly and faced in front of herself once again. "Oh, we're here... Choose any booth or restaurant. It's my treat."
Destan blinked. "You're treating me...?" He resisted the urge to ask why, fearing that he would lose this rare chance.
"Because you worked well yesterday. We beat our record of jobs done in a single day. I figured that I would do something special because of that." Arika said, fully aware that he wanted to ask why. -
After a few minuets Fina joined Echo, Fina let her presence known by lightly shoving Echo with one hand causing her to bump into this guy and break what ever he was holding as it smashed against the ground. Echo blushed as the man turned around and glanced at the two of them and took a second look at Fina who was frozen in pose of pushing Echo. He smiled lightly obviously holding in anger and then turned around Echo blushed more and hid beside Fina keeping her head down and herself out of the way. Fina shook her head which caused her hair to shake around but it all fell in the exact same spot as it was before, "Lets do groceries first then we'll eat lunch! Or erm breakfast for you... Come on Echo." Fina said as she started walking.
(I gave up... I'm on my phone okay its a pin to write forever.) -
Fallen Ranger NewbieMitsu stalked off. How dare he?! Yarnaros had almost given him a serious injury, and he didn't even get an apology. Mitsu knew what he needed, although Yarnaros would not have approved, but he didn't care. Mitsu smirked to himself, before walking slowly to the road that determined if he could have the fun that he needed. Once there, he saw no one, and reluctantly allowed himself to settle down. He jumped up to one of the higher branches, his own scythe acting as balance. He then closed one eye, and went into a light sleep waiting for his prey.
Luckily, it didn't take long. A man that was fit, and carrying something heavy, walked with a determined pace on the road that headed towards the city. He had black hair, and looked about the same size has himself. His smile grew, as he silently got up, and jumped right in front of him. When he landed, his scythe flew into a threatening position. He made sure to keep his face cool, and cruel. After a dramatic pause for effect, he spoke.
"... I hope you know your trespassing on, MY, road." The man didn't respond. In fact, he didn't even look scared, the only sign that head heard him was the clench of his fingers on his knapsack. Mitsu immediately knew this would be fun.
"I'm afraid that to get past me." Mitsuhide loosely brought his scythe in front him, and pointed it, snapping the blade in his direction. "Is to fight me."
The man gave a soft sigh, before immediately dropping the backpack. Mitsuhide was giddy, finally, someone to take out his anger on. The mysterious man, then unexpectedly pulled out something that Mitsu had never seen before.
"... What's tha-." He never finished as the black object suddenly made the most ear shrieking noise, that brought him to his hands and knees. Mitsu felt like his ears were on fire, as he struggled to get up, reach for his weapon or do anything! The man, then smiled which went unnoticed by Mitsu, picked up his knapsack before taking a slow stroll down to the village. He wanted to scream at him for being a coward. But he never got to, as he went out of sight. Magically, the noise stopped, and Mistu knew he was gone. Mitsu glared in rage at the ground, before putting his hand on his head and screaming at the sky.
"Give me a break!"
{ If you guys want, use the man in your posts or make him part of the story. If you want, doesn't matter if he remains nameless. } -
Destan raised an eyebrow. While they did break a personal record the previous day, he never got anything for his hard work. "That's all?"
Arika shrugged. "Well, there's also the Guardian Gathering later today. Don't get so many people mad at you. It reflects negatively on your name. Plus, you always make me apologize."
"But I don't do anything!" Destan must've used this argument many times more then any grown person, or 200 year old dragon, should. But it was true.
"That's why they get mad!" Arika sighed, "since I'm treating you, you have to try to participate in the meeting today." Then with a slightly mischievous smile she added, "make them wonder if it's the same dragon that it's always been."
Destan chuckled a bit. "Very well, little Ari. I'll attempt to participate." He said, performing a little bow. "But because I am, I can get anything, right~?"
Arika suddenly felt a bit of dread. "...Please don't make me go broke."
"We shall see~!" Came the dragon's reply as he skipped off. -
As Fina stood at the vender talking cheerfully about many things Echo stood waiting as her arms slowly fell of from her carrying all the groceries for a long time or at least what she thought was along time. Once Fina was done talking she decided that she didn't want whatever the lady was selling and decided that she was done and it was time for lunch, "Echo you can pick where we eat."
"How about the usual spot." Echo said quietly,
"Okay." Fina said a bit bored,
"What's wrong now?" She asks quietly,
"I don't want to go to the meeting." Fina whined, "Everyone's so boring and Des- ughhh he pisses me off everytime he's so annoying and sometimes I just want to rip-"
"Fina! That's enough!" Echo snapped at her, Fina's eyes widened slightly and she blushed ever so slightly, and then her face fell,
"I didn't-"
"Whatever lets go eat." Echo said bitterly and walked off towards the restaurant hidden by her -

Fallen Ranger NewbieMitsu needed to clear his head. He was pissed. All he could picture was his mentor slaying him, and then some sort of crazy noise box doing it to! Mitsu decided something that he didn't care of the consequences. He was going to get drunk. So drunk his mentor would probably have to drag him by the ass all the way back to their cottage. But then again, he didn't really care. Mitsu grinned like a little girl, as he skipped of towards the town ready to have some fun.

(Drunk?
Dude. XD)
Destan had chosen a smaller restaurant, better known for their tea and pastries. It was a restaurant that Arika occasionally went to in her free time. Arika was surprised for a moment, then frowned slightly. "You want to eat here? It isn't exactly the fanciest place, and it's not very well know for it's breakfasts."
Destan nodded. "You deserve a treat too. You have to deal with me after all." Destan put his hands on his hips and laughed like a child. "It's a treat for both of us. ...You're still paying though."
For a moment, Arika was silent. Then she smiled. "Very well then, Sir Guardian of the Water. Thank you."
Destan grinned and approached the front desk to place the order. "What do you want?" He called back to Arika.
"A tea is fine. You know what I like." Arika watched as Destan ordered the food. It might've just been her imagination, but Destan seemed to have been talking for quite a while. He turned around and grinned. Though the expression had a bit of a mischievous look to it. -
XD)
Echo pulled on her hood slightly, "Echo..." Fina whined,
"Fina its fine." Fina puffed out her cheeks.
"If you say so..." She mumbled. They walked into the restaurant, Fina orders food for them
"The meeting will start soon, Fina." Echo said quietly,
"We can be late its fine." Echo sighed not wanting to argue. -
Fallen Ranger NewbieMitsu sat in a bar. He couldn't tell what was up, down, left or right. All he knew was that whatever was being handed to him was delicious when it went down his throat. Colours started blurring, and soon he realized that he was shaking. He knew he needed to stop his pity drinking, but it was just too good to let go out of his like at this point. Would he get yelled at? Yup. Does he care? Nope, he thought as he reached for his next beer.

After a short wait, the food the Destan had ordered arrived at the table. Or rather, Destan's food had arrived. The surface of the table was covered in a wide variety of sweets and other baked goods. Arika's tea looked weak in comparison.
Arika took a moment to decide how to react to this situation. Taking a sip of tea, she said, "I know that I said you could get anything, but isn't this a bit much?"
Destan blinked while in the middle of stuffing a tart in his mouth. Swallowing, he replied, "Don't worry, I only ordered the cheap stuff."
"I'm not worried about that. Just... keep in mind that you will be participating in a meeting after you're finished. Don't fill yourself up too much." Arika frowned as she took another sip of tea.
"You worry too much." Destan interrupted himself to eat a small roll. "Don't worry. You won't have to apologize today."
"I shouldn't have to apologize anyway," Arika mentioned, obviously striking a weak spot in Destan's thought process. -
Echo sat down in the chair at the table at the same time Fina did, their attitudes wet completely opposite, Fina, all light and bubbly and Echo, calm and bore. Echo tugged on her hoof once again with a light sigh, "What did you order?" She asked quietly,
"Its a surprise~!" Fina sang and rested both her elbows on the table and folded her hands together and rested her chin on them. Echo huffed quietly and sat back in her chair, she closely studied the dragon and then closed her eyes.
