Ok here's the plot.
C1 is a wizard in the magical kingdom of Saltar. C2 is his/hers best friend since elementary school. Both are about to undergo a ceremony that allows them to master any skill they want. However an Evil Overlord named Diablos came when no one was guarding the ancient crystals, that perform the ceremony, and stole 2 of them. These crystals give him power but also can bring darkness to the planet. It is up to them to stop him before he gets more.

Species: Griffin Shapeshifter [As in she's devoted her life to learning to shift back and forth between one mythical creature and her true form. She can also use abilities related to said mythical creature]

Clothes: The same, except the beads are doubled up around her neck.
Personality: Forgetful, carefree, cheerful, kind.
Other: Can only transform into a griffin for a short span of time, and her shifting doesn't always work when she needs it to. -

Gender: Male
Species: Dragon Shapeshifter (same reasons as yours.)
Appearance: Human: brown hair, slightly tanned skin, tall, a little chubby
Dragon:
Clothes: Black wizard cloak with white stars on it, brown boots, green shirt, blue jeans, witch like hat.
Personality: Friendly, clumsy, deductive, kinda lazy
Other: Most of his spell don't work when he needs them to. And just like your character, he can't be a dragon for long. -

Blake had just woke up from his sleep and said "Today is the day. The ceremony is today." Blake had been looking forward to the ceremony all week. It was a time when a few select people get to chose a skill to master. -
Lottie stood on her roof, adjusting her scarf, squinting into the sky.
"Should be nice weather. Good. I want my first flight as a Master Shapeshifter to be great!" She smiled, shifting from her left foot to the right, excited. -
(Hey, I heard some new Pokmon related to Zygarde have been revealed.)
Blake got dressed, ate his breakfast, and brushed his teeth. He then stepped outside and said "Today is going to be ....magical." -
[Oh, cool!]
Lottie took a few steps back, then ran forward, chanting under her breath before she leapt off the top of the roof, landing softly on the road, grinning as she adjusted her bag strap, running down the path. -
