Age: (idk what you had in mind? I'm assuming young adult?? If not I'll change this ^^) 23
Species: Human
Looks: Brook is about average height, maybe a little taller, and a little curvy, but she doesn't mind not being super skinny as much as most people expect her too. Her skin's fairly pale. Her eyes are light gray-blue, and her hair is dark brown and curly.
Personality: Brook tries to be friendly and sweet, but she's not afraid to speak up for herself and assert herself when necessary, unless it comes to her family name. She's strongly against the mistreatment of monsters, but due to her parents wealth and being so well known, she doesn't want to risk hurting their reputation by speaking out. She tries to help in whatever little ways she can, although she never dreamt of owning a monster of her own. -

Name: Theodore (Theo) Welch

Appearance: Theo has tan skin (unusual for a monster) and very dark brown hair, which is ridiculously curly. His left eye is green and his right is sort of amber. He has short, dull antlers, and a set of much smaller, thicker horns in front of them. All of these are grey. His mouth is full of sharp fangs, which are accompanied by a thick, forked tongue. He has a long and thin tail tipped with a tuft of hair. His fingernails naturally grow more like claws. His cheeks, back, and hips/thighs are dotted with white spots, similar to those of a fawn (they're largest on his lower back and hips).
Other: Theo looks too human for most monsters. Because of this, he's never felt close to his family or most of his community. Still, he grew up with a fair amount of pride, and loathes humans with a passion. He's artistic and a pretty good singer, though he prefers not to share his talents. Idk what else to say about this nerd
Reposting the plot
Monsters don't have any use except for work, so they're often sold into servitude. Most have been threatened into total submission over time, but a few family lines stil hold onto the idea that they deserve complete independence. C1 is the youngest generation within one of these lines, recently kidnapped in attempt to break the strength of their family. They're put up for auction and falsely labeled as already broken, so that they're quickly sold.
C2 is a human, the only heir to an extremely wealthy family. As they've recently moved away from home, their first objective (put in place by their parents) is to purchase a monster. They have absolutely no desire to do so, but they know better than to disobey their parents' orders. Upon reluctantly visiting the auction house, they quickly select C1, believing that they'll be an easy first monster.
It doesn't take long for the two to realize that they're completely different, except for the fact that both of them hate the oppression monsters face. Through this, a threatening bond forms and they have to keep it secret blah blah blah -

The auction house was every monster's nightmare. Humans, most of them wealthy, would come and gawk, always amazed at how strange the goods for sale were. That's what they were-- goods. At least, that's how Theo felt, long past the point of struggling against the chains keeping him almost entirely in place. He did his best to remain silent and submissive, knowing that the last time he'd tried to speak had resulted in even worse treatment from his captors. The kidnapping had already resulted in a number of injuries, and the punishment for misbehaving hurt even more. Maybe it worked on the others, but not him. He was determined to escape, dignity intact.
A few monsters down, an elderly woman inspected the information on a monster who looked to be in her mid thirties. Her bright blue fur covered most of her body and puffed up her clothing, something that the human scoffed at before saying something about kitchen staff and walking away. So far, no one had actually approached and considered the young man. Maybe, if he was left alone for long enough, he could figure out some way to escape at night. Would he take the others with him? Probably not. He found himself lost in thought on the subject, his expression becoming about as docile as most of those around him.
