"And you didn't like it? Didn't take the chance to leave?" She asked

" Mai was still here. I'm not leaving her behind unless she becomes old enough. Otherwise, if I ever leave, I'm taking her with me." Kei replied.

Lorelai nodded, "Makes since." Was all she mumbled.

"I'm going to protect her. If I do stay here..I'll do my best to make it a place worth living in for her." Kei said in a low tone where she could still hear him though.

"That's nice." She said staring up at the tree tops.

Kei nodded his head, "It is." he said quietly as he looked around.

"A place worth living in..." She mumbled more to herself "It be kin of nice."

Kei looked up to the sky smiling a bit. "It will be hard to achieve. But, I'm willing to try to get it at any costs. This town is in rumbles." he said, his voice fading as he went on.

Lorelai nodded and stared up.

Kei sighed as he closed his eyes for a moment and lowered his head.

Lorelai looked over at him and then back over at a tree, "Dreams are nice... But somethings people around here will never get over. But it still be nice, a place worth living in..." She said quietly.

Kei looked up to her opening up his eyes a bit and nodded his head. "Yeah. I agree. Maybe this dream can come true though. Maybe." he said closing his eyes again. "I'm going to try."

Lorelai nodded her head slightly, she studied the sky for a quick moment, "Do you know what time it is?" She asked.

Kei looked around and up thinking, seeing if he could get a rough estimate of the time to tell. "Maybe around one right now, it seems." he responded.

"Okay..." She said not questioning it at all.
