Matt was shocked by the hug and shook it off when she let go, "Yeah, its the only one I know around here, come on. I'm paying, two queens, how long?" He asked opening the door for her he looked inside and whistled, "It sure has been a while."
-
-
Avery walked inside and looked at the hotels, it was nice. "I'm probably stay here for a week until I find someone to stay with!" She said as she thanked him too.
-
He chuckled, "Long enough to find an apartment he said walking up to the desk, "Hello!" He called loud enough so someone came out of the back room, he pulled his debit card out of his bag and placed it on the counter, "Two queens, one week." The man nodded and rung it up, Matt payed and he got two keys.
-
Avery felt bad but she didn't trust staying out in the street. "Thank you!" She said as she looked at him.
-
"For what?" Matt asked as he put a key in her hand, "Don't even bother saying the hotel cause I'd need to stay anyways. Let's go." He guided her towards the elevator.
-
Avery sighed and rolled her eyes playfully. She stepped onto the elevator and clinged to the rails. She looked at Matt and then the doors.
-
Matt chuckled, "Are you scared of elevators or something?" He as asked leaning against the wall then pressing the button for their floor.
-
She nodded. She jumped when she felt the elevator jerk. "I got stuck in an elevator for about four hours!" She said as she clutched to the rails harder.
-
Matt raised and eyebrow and walked over to her, he rubbed her arm, "You're fine, the elevator is not just going to randomly stop and I'm not going to be one of those jerks that jumps up and down. We could of taken the stairs you know?"
-
"I've never been in this hotel so I didn't know that there was stairs." Avery said as she looked at him. She breathed in and out to calm down but didn't help. "Thank you!" She said.
-
Matt chuckled, "Theirs always stairs, all you had to say was " Lets take the stairs!" He pulled her into a loose hug, "Stop thanking me and just breath." He looked at the thing above the door realizing how slow the elevator was.
-
Avery nodded and hugged back. "But you helped me a lot today!" She said as she felt her Bert racing. She felt the elevator stop with a big bang. She jumped and broke the hug, "what was that?" She asked nervously.
-
"The brakes, probably." Matt chuckled pulling her out the door lightly, "Yay you're alive! You remind me of Driselle a bit, she use to have anxiety attacks. All I'd have to do was give her a hug and pat her back well sometimes I'd brush her hair. She never liked it but its still the only way we get her hair brushed." He chuckled lightly. "Did something happen in the elevator when you were stuck? Or was it just being stuck in there?"
-
She smiled and shrugged. "Thanks! You really know how to calm a girl!" Avery said as she looked at the key number. "When I was 12, me and my mom went to an appointment and she decided to take the stairs and let me take the elevator, by myself. There was an older guy and he was sorta creepy." Avery started.
