Lovino eyed Antonio's clenched fists with caution. "P-probably not." he agreed softly, cringing when his voice stuttered. The apology startled Lovino, and he looked up at Antonio wide-eyed. "You...really didn't know?" he asked quietly. So Antonio wasn't like Gilbert and Francis? The Italian felt guilty for yelling at him when he didn't even know how bad it was. He'd always figured it was just a matter of time before Antonio was shoving him around too, but he honestly sounded shocked.
-
Sillinae Newbie"You really think I would hang out with them if I had known before?" Antonio asked, not sure whether he sounded disbelieving or resigned. He wasn't what he felt. He was just lost now. He'd been friends with Francis and Gil forever, but they must have known to keep it from him. He couldn't just go on hanging out with them, could he? Even though they'd been friends since they were kids, and had been on soccer for years. He offered a tight smile, unsure what else to do. "You were right, huh." He mumbled. "I don't know the half of it. I thought they were just calling you names too, pushing you around." He shook his head, looking down. Who knew what else they had done. And he still wanted to tell the coach. What would Francis do to him if he did that? He couldn't possibly try anything physical, could he.
-
Lovino shook his head, looking down. "Last year he nearly got my shirt off," he recalled with a shudder. "And this," he held out his arm and pointed out a tiny pink scar. "Gilbert 'tripped' with a stapler. They can get pretty bad. I-I've tried to fight back, I'm not a f---ing coward, but they...they don't fight fair." That had been awful, two on one, Lovino had a split lip and a black eye for weeks. He suddenly realized that he was telling everything to the one person he'd sworn not to spill his story to. "B-But it doesn't matter. Uh...thank you. For stopping him." he added, feeling guilt churn in his stomach because in the back of his mind, he knew that Francis was right. He did like Antonio, as much as he disliked him at the same time, and not in a friendly way.
-
Sillinae Newbie"I..." Antonio frowned. "They don't fight fair, do they?" They were always teaming up. Antonio had never paid much attention, but he'd never seen either of them in a fair fight. Gilbert's favorite saying had always been 'if you come to a fair fight, you've come unprepared'. "Of course, anyways. I'm not just gonna walk by. It does matter." He had nearly done exactly that, but he was glad that he hadn't. And suddenly he wondered if he didn't wish he hadn't been here. He almost wished he hadn't seen that, so he could go on laughing with Francis and Gil and practice, waving to them in the halls. He didn't know what he would do now. "I'll see you after school, I guess."
-
Lovino nodded, his heartbeat finally back down to a somewhat normal pace. He moved to leave, then paused, guilt still churning in his gut. "Ah, Antonio? I-I'm sorry you got dragged into alk this s---." He murmured, slinging his bag onto his shoulder. "And I'm sorry I've been such a b---- about it." he added quietly, looking down. "You didn't have to help me, but you did, twice, and I've been a total a--hole about it. I'm...sorry." He bit his lip, fidgeting nervously and wondering if it would've been best to stay quiet and leave.

Sillinae Newbiepfff its np
"It's alright." Antonio said, shaking his head. It was actually a little better. Now at least he knew what Francis and Gil had been doing behind his back. "I know why you did it. It doesn't matter now." Another small smile. "I'll see you after school." And he slipped out of the locker room before a teacher could come in, or something else. He didn't really feel like running anymore, and there was only about ten minutes left anyways, so he just walked back to class, trying not to think about anything that had just happened. He'd have to deal with it later. For now, he was just tired. -
"Yeah," Lovino replied simply, before gathering up the rest of his books and leaving out the other exit, heading to his last class before the first tutoring session. He sighed, wondering if Antonio would hate him if he that Lovino really did like him. He seemed really upset by all the gay comments, so the Italian decided it would be smart to keep the information about this tiny crush to himself. He took a deep breath and sighed. He could relax, his next class was free from any foreign b------s.

brb, dinner, sorry!
-
Sillinae Newbienp! buon appetite
It was a good thing that Antonio's last class was English. He didn't need to concentrate, and he couldn't anyways. Francis' words kept running through his head. He doesn't matter, he isn't worth your time. Stop acting like he matters. But he did matter, and Antonio didn't know why. He picked at the corner of his worksheet, zoning out. And then Lovino's face flashed in his mind again, and he frowned. They were going to see each other after school for an hour anyways. And then he'd have to face Francis and Gilbert at soccer again. He suddenly wished that this class wouldn't end. That the bell wouldn't ring and he could pretend that none of it had happened. -
how the heck does 'dinner is ready' translate to 'no you can't go back upstairs let's have awkward family bonding time' idfk
I'm so sorry!! ;^; )
Lovino was perfectly calm for the majority of his history class. He had, of course, done the homework and studied, so he was prepared for the pop quiz that seemed to catch everyone else off guard. Lovino was the first one done, and he simply relaxed at his seat until the final minutes of the period started to tick away on the clock, and he realized it would just be him and Antonio alone, for an entire agonizing sixty minutes. -
Sillinae Newbieomf it's okay ;^; aaaa omg hope that wasn't too bad
When the bell finally rang to end the day, Antonio was slow to collect his things. He trudged out of the classroom, now completely sure why he was so hesitant to do this. It was just tutoring. And it wasn't like he still had to be nervous of Lovino hating him. Sure, there was still Francis and Gil, but it wasn't like they would be in the Library with him and Lovino. When he finally reached the library it was mostly empty, with only a few other tables occupied by other students. He dropped his bag by one of the empty tables, completely unable to relax. -
nah, it wasn't too bad, just a little weird cuz we're never really all home at once that often )
Lovino slunk in a minute later, cursing under his breath at the sight of Antonio. All hopes that he had forgotten about coming were quickly dashed. He took a deep breath, walking over and setting his bag down on the other side of the table. "Hey," he mumbled, a little tense. He'd flinched at every long-haired blonde he'd passed in the hallway, and was glad to have made it here without running into Francis. Although, he wasn't much more comfortable here, not quite sure what to say after the incident in the locker room. -
Sillinae Newbieahhh yeah I understand that feeling
"Hey." Antonio said, a bit more weakly than he'd intended. "I, um..." He bit his lip, then nodded aimlessly. "Yeah, uh, I guess we can just start?" He could not imagine being any more awkward at this moment, and took the opportunity to distract himself by retrieving his things from his bag. Just one hour of this, an hour of soccer, and he could go home and ignore everyone for the rest of the weekend. He had too much to think about and not enough willingness to think about it.
