good morning! idk when you actually get up cuz it's kinda early for you but good morning~
Lovino drew in a gasp at that, the heart moniter jumping unstably for a moment. Killed him. Oh god, Francis would've killed Antonio? He felt like he might be sick, and closed his eyes for a moment, trying to even out his breathing again. Luckily, the soft kisses tickling his palm and the sound of Antonio's voice were reassuring, but Lovino was still scared for the future. What would stop Francis from attacking them again? Or Gilbert? Or both? He knew Antonio was strong, but two on one would not be pretty, especially if one of them had a knife. He opened his eyes and sighed softly, wondering if the police might actually be a good idea. What they were doing was definitely harassment, not to mention the apparent death threats from the Frenchman. He sighed again, wishing for what seemed like the millionth time that he could talk. -

Antonio winced at the small gasp, the jump in Lovino's heart monitor not doing anything to soothe his frayed nerves. "Hey, don't worry," He said quietly. "We'll stay away from them as much as possible, mkay? I won't try to talk to either of them anymore. We'll be okay." He didn't want to hide from Gil and Francis like a couple of cowering dogs, but he would rather even that than having either of them end up in the hospital again. He glanced at the mask with a tiny frown, letting out a small breath. He knew it still hurt Lovino to talk, but it put a small twist in his chest to see Lovino hooked up to all of those machines and the mask. -

Lovino could see the pity in his eyes and he hated it. He knew how pathetic he must've looked, an IV in one arm, monitors recording every second, and the damn mask, not to mention that despite all that he could barely sit up without having to catch his breath, and he probably looked awful too. He looked over at Antonio, shaking his head slowly. Avoiding them wouldn't be enough. Lovino had been avoiding them for years, and had still been their main target. He'd tried to avoid Francis to, but the next thing he knew Antonio was running from him like he was some sort of monster, although he sort of felt like one treating him that way. He reached for the notebook and pen again, annoyed that it took so much for something so simple, but he managed to get his point down before showing Antonio.
We need the police or something. They're dangerous. -

Antonio bit his cheek, before nodding hesitantly. "Yeah..." He breathed. He had had that bad habit of not listening to Lovino, but he was right this time. He had a feeling that next time Francis would not wait so long to break out that knife. And he probably wouldn't be so kind as to leave Antonio in any shape to get back to the hospital. "We'll take care of it when you are better, okay?" He murmured, looking up and offering a weak smile. He tapped the mask gently. "Get rid of this before worrying about anyone other than yourself, remember? It's going to be okay." -

Lovino squeezed his hand, actually smiling a little, hoping to encourage the slightly anxious looking Spaniard. Antonio was right, they could sort this out. For the first time since they'd met, really, things would be okay. Which meant they could relax togather outside the hospital. He blushed, holding the notebook out of Antonio's view for a second before pushing it back.
I have a request. And don't f---ing laugh. -

Antonio raised an eyebrow, pursing his lips tightly to keep from smiling. "Alright, go ahead and ask, then. I won't laugh." He didn't see what request at this moment would be so funny, but he wanted to humor Lovino. Lovino's face was flushed dark pink, and he wondered what he could possibly be so embarrassed to ask for. Maybe it was easier to write than to say out loud, as well. Then again, Antonio had to answer out loud. -

Lovino scowled, feeling the heat in his cheeks. That damned b------ was already smiling. He huffed, hesitating, but finally forced himself to lower the pen to the paper and write it down.
When this is all over, take me out on a real date.
He held out the notebook, sure he was scarlet by now. Of course, it made him feel a little better to blame Antonio for not courting him properly, but it didn't help his embarrassed blush. -

Antonio's smile grew, but he didn't laugh. "Of course, sweetheart." He said with a small grin. "Hey, we'll go wherever you want, hm?" He hadn't realized that they hadn't even been on a real date, yet. It wasn't that embarrassing of a question, but he could see how it was embarrassing that Lovino had to ask. "I shouldn't have made you have to ask, hm?" He teased. He did laugh at that. "Does that make me a bad boyfriend?" He asked jokingly. -

Lovino was relieved that Antonio seemed to agree, although the affectionate nicknames and eager teasing did nothing to calm his flushed cheeks. He stuck his tongue out and nodded in agreement, teasing back as much as he could. -

Antonio laughed again. "Well then I'll have to make it up to you a lot, huh?" He pressed his lips to the back of Lovino's hand before leaning over to kiss his nose, pecking the top of the mask again. "As many dates as you want. I guess a hospital isn't exactly the most romantic setting, but that's what we'll have to work with for now. At least until you can leave." He raised an eyebrow, giving a small huff. "I can't kiss you with that stupid mask on your face. That's pretty irritating." -

Lovino giggled, then wrinkled his nose, the sound oddly distorted under the mask. He took a deep breath, unsure of whether or not he really needed it. His lungs didn't hurt so much now, and he doubted they'd allow visitors if he was so bad he was unable to breath on his own at all still. He reached up to fiddle with the mask's tube again, glancing curiously at Antonio as if asking him. Lovino was just as frustrated by the lack of kissing. -

Antonio returned the glance, raising an eyebrow. "If you get in trouble it's not my fault." He warned. "I am just an innocent bystander." An innocent bystander who was innocently encouraging Lovino to take of the mask so he could kiss him. "Only take it off if you feel okay without it, okay? If it becomes hard to breathe you have to put it back on." He wrinkled his nose, squeezing Lovino's hand gently. "Does your throat hurt still?" He asked, remembering the yelling from earlier. -

Lovino rolled his eyes at the 'innocent bystander' currently urging him to remove the medical equipment that had saved his life. He ignored the question about his throat, because honestly it did hurt, but he didn't want Antonio any more worried than he already was. He tentatively reached up, carefully slipping the mask's strap over his head and slowly setting it aside. He sucked in a deep breath, overjoyed to find that he could, and glanced towards Antonio with an excited smile. -

Antonio's face broke into a wide grin when Lovino smiled up at him. "Much better," he breathed, before leaning down to kiss Lovino firmly on lips, his hand going to cup Lovino's cheek, feeling strangely calmed by the taste of Lovino's breath and lips after such a long time. "Hmmm," he hummed against his mouth, eyes shut. "Yes, that's definitely much better." He opened his eyes, pressing his forehead to Lovino's. "Put it back on if it get's hard to breathe again, okay?" He murmured. "Kissing you is nice, but you breathing is much nicer."
