Carissa knocked the gun from the man's hands and growled at him. She grabbed him and threw him against a tree, and lowered her ears more.

Katherine still had her eyes covered as her ears went backwards when she felt something behind her.she then yelped.

Carissa turned around and tackled the man that grabbed Katie, snapping his neck.

Katherine felt something sharp against her neck.she stumbled.

The rest of the men ran off.
Carissa growled at them and pinned her ears back. Her ears went down sadly and she caught Katie. "Uswidi?" -
Katherine had a dart in her neck as she whimpered.she then fainted.

Carissa caught her and took the dart out. She whimpered and tears filled her eyes as she carried Katie home.

Katherine had blood coming out of her mouth as she twitched.

Carissa whimpered more and put Katie down on the couch. She grabbed a needle from the closet and stuck it in Katie's arm. "Please work" she muttered, wiping the blood away.

Katherine coughed as her eyes opened halfway.she then saw everything was blurry."....m-mom...." She mustered out as she tried to get up.

Carissa cooed soothing at her daughter and wiped her tears. "Don't get up, you need to rest" she said, brushing the hair from Katie's face.

Katherine layed back down as she closed her eyes.she then slowly fell asleep.

Carissa kissed her forehead and covered her up. She lay next to her and wrapped her arms around Katie.

Katherine held her mother closer in her sleep as she mumbled something as she slept.

Carissa cooed and stroked Katie's hair.
