Justin caught Spring by the shoulders just as he almost ran into him. "Woah, there." When they arrived at the doorway of Hailey's doorway, she looked up with wide, but curious eyes. "So, how does ham and cheese sound to everyone?" He looked between the two siblings.

Spring nodded,looking to his brother's face,a casual look on his own."Y-yeah,that's good."He stuttered,looking down the stairs with a small frown.

"Spring," Justin grabbed Hailey's hand. "Is something wrong? Actually, don't bother telling me no. I know something is up, so spill the beans." -
Spring shook his head."No,it's nothing,really."He said.It wasn't true.All he wanted was to be back in his brother's embrace,talking all of this confusion firmly out.

Justin motioned for Spring to follow him as he descended the stairs with Hailey. "We can talk about it after lunch, maybe play a board game with Hailey?" He shrugged at the suggestion.

Spring nodded his head,arms crossed as the small group entered the kitchen after passing through a corner of the large living area.He inhaled a strange smell,sneezing afterwards and looking around the room.

"So," Justin set down Hailey, and opened the fridge. "What are you in the mood for? We could do ham and cheese, maybe add some lettuce, or try peanut butter and bananas?"

"Grilled ham and cheese."Spring replied,sneezing once again and lowering his ears.He covered his nose,then his mouth,then squinting his eyes as he sneezed a few more times.

"You know what? That's a good idea." He gave Spring a concerned look as he began sneezing. "Are you alright there?" He asked, pulling out cheese and butter from the fridge, and then closed it.

"This..a-air freshener...must h-have..smoothing in it."Spring said,continuing to sneeze.It was awful,sneezing out a rotten smell continuously!

"Okay, we'll eat in the backyard. You can take Hailey out there for now, while I cook." He suggested. He looked back at the older boy before continuing to get lunch prepared.

Spring nodded,grabbing a small,plastic bottle of bubble soap.He beckoned his sister forward,opening the door to the back yard and cautiously stepping out. -

He went to grabbing a spatula, a pan, and all the ingredients needed to make the meal. The scabs on his back would soon become painful memories. Ones he'd have to hide from the world. He couldn't be proud of something he didn't earn. His thoughts were cut off at the sound of sizzling bread. Justin added the cheese and ham, and flipped the sandwich.
