so, basically...
in the depths of the human mind lies the dreamscape, a place where dreams are produced. once a core dream, aka a life form created by fusing together core traits and whatnot of the dreamscapes (or brains) dreams, the dreams deciding how they look, think, respond, and more. once a core dream is created, they are sent to an alternate world in a different dimension called the rift. this is where all core dreams live out their lives, some criminals or heros, others pedestrians and marketers.
one day, something disturbed the peace of the rift. a gigantic shadowy figure who the people refer to as "nightmare" arrived, corrupting core dreams and turning them into lost dreams, aka the "zombies" of the rift. nowadays, a large wall separates the lost dreams and core dreams from each other, but the walls will not last long. thus, a band of 3 core dreams will meet up to protect the uncorrupt part of the rift and, if they are strong enough, defeat "nightmare". -

in a way. the powers must be small and not extreme in a way. for example:
shapeshifting into certain animals: okay
shapeshifting into anything: not okay
able to grow out laser claws from your fingernails: okay
able to shoot large laser beams from the palm of your hands: not okay

weapon: a 7000 steel-folded katana with a diamond-edged blade to make for swift and easy cuts.
power: he is able to create exactly 7 holograms of himself, each able to act as if they were the real deal.
likes: to always win, trash talk his opponent during battle, polish his cyber suit, and to drink warm tea.
dislikes: when hes wrong and someone else is right, losing, and meaningless tasks. -

Personality: maria is a bit shy, but she tries to be focused all the time. She has a had temper and is easily angered at times.

Bio: being the only being alive who has ever come close to beating 7 in combat, they soon fell in love with each others skill and prowess only to later get married two years later. Katrina is nicknamed "hurricane katrina" for her signature move, Hurricane of The Wind Spirits Wrath.
Weapon: The Shoguns Bane, a steel katana handed down by her family for many generations, a red ruby embalmed in the hilt of the sword in the shape of a tear drop.
Likes: Teaching the Junior-league students, food, relaxing in the local hot springs, and doing her best.
dislikes: perverts, rude people, tea, and gossip.
