"Okay." Celesse said, casually. She wrapped her hands around Zachary's neck, gently. She waited for him to lead- as was proper and the normal for most slow dances. She gazed into his eyes as well, smirking a little.
-
"Mhm" Zachary said with a smile. He put his arms around her a bit as he looked into her eyes. He started to slowly move side to side and took a few small steps "been a little while since I last did this," he told her grinning a bit.
-
"Yeah, same here." A small blush showed on the girl's face, much to her dismay. She didn't want to seem easily flattered or anything like the such- even though she was. Celesse looked into his eyes a little- wondering what he had been through in his life. Such a thing worried Celesse, she didn't think Zachary deserved pain. He seemed sweet.
-
"Really?" Zachary asked as he put on a small grin. He was a little worried he might mess up while dancing, he knew it was a chance but wanted to do his best. He looked into her eyes still and let out a small sigh to calm himself as he continued to move.
-
"Yeah. I haven't been to many balls or such for a while. I have one coming up, though. In about a month or so. If you're prepared, you'll be obliged to come." Celesse informed, with a small shrug. She danced slowly, following his lead with ease. After so many years of dance practice, it had become automatic to her.
-
"I haven't dances in a few months myself. I can be prepared, I'll consider it," Zachary told her as he continued to lead her in the dance. He was still a bit nervous so he tried to focus and calm himself down a bit more.
-
Celesse grinned widely as they danced. She could tell he was a bit nervous, so she quickly reassured him that he was doing great. He was, after all. Celesse was a little fearful of herself screwing up, but realized it didn't matter. This wasn't in public and it was for fun, after all. If she screwed up, she could just laugh about it.
-
Zachary saw her grin which made him feel a bit better about it. He wanted her to have fun as they did this, which is why he suggested to dance. Though they were in privacy, he still wanted to do good because he did not want Celesse to judge him on his dancing if he messed up, he put a grin on his face and continued knowing it would go as it will go and he'll see results afterwards.
-
Celesse giggled a little as they traveled across the room. She kept her arms tightly around his neck. "This is fun." She stated, excitedly. Celesse was having a genuinely good time, much to her happiness.
-
Zachary was relieved to hear she was having fun dancing."it is fun," he said with a big grin on his face as they went around the room dancing. This made him feel better and he was not nervous about it except a small bit now.
-
Celesse smiled, "I always found slow dances boring unless they were with cute people. I don't know, you make it fun." Celesse had unintentionally flirted, and she realized that, but didn't care much.
-
Zachary blinked his eyes hearing her and grinned. "Thank you, I think. I've never had this much fun dancing with anyone, myself." he said staring into her eyes. He was not sure how to resct or what to say so he said what came first.
-
"Balls are fun though. Lots of cute, wealthy men. Potential suitors. We're quite old fashioned around here when it comes to marriage. Gender roles have changed a lot, though. I wish I could explain it to you simply, but I can't." Celesse said with a shrug. She knew once she turned eighteen she would have to pick a suitor- that's how their traditions were. In such a wealthy town, there were many to choose from.
-
Zachary listened to her as he tried to understand it better. "Sounds nice, I think. Sometimes old fashioned is good to have. Is it hard to out into simple terms?" he asked her as he still stared at her. He wanted to know a bit more about how they were a bit and was interested some.
-
"A bit. We are a mix of modern and old fashioned. Around here, every family is rich and important. We play key roles in the government. We host soires, balls, and are all Catholics. The females are socialites- we all are important and apparently, men adore us. We get married at eighteen, but we aren't just housewives or anything. We work, go to college." Celesse said as they danced, carefully. That was a lot of how the wealthy towns culture was.
