The research team applauded their impressive work. With the use of several ingredients and weeks of intense laboratory tests and experiments, they had finally been capable of creating the cure. Joseph Callahan, the head of the team, smiled in delight with the successful completion of the mission. This allowed him to ship the liquid medication to various clinics and hospitals when he deemed the time perfect. This medication was very special to him, as it made him feel in power.
This medicine was what was necessary in order to heal and cure patients who had been infected with a quick-spreading disease known as Anthropatosis, which, when caught early, was very simple to get rid of. Soon after, once the disease progressed, patients would find the need for human meat and flesh. They weren't exactly zombies, and some had self control, but it wasn't always safe to just go out and into the town because no one knew who was okay to approach. Caution would be what must be taken when even saying hello. After this phase, they would grow abscesses and cysts which were painful and loaded with pus. Other symtoms were able to arise, depending on how the disease waa spread. Blood and saliva were two of the quickest ways of spreading the illness.
He smirked, aware that his plan to decrease the world's population would work flawlessly. He had always disliked the idea of too many of the low idiots and disgusting vermin that resided on Earth. With choosing not to disclose the cure until he wished to. He sighed in happiness, fishing around in jis pocket for his cell phone. He clicked his boyfriend's name and held it to his ear in order to inform that he would be home soon. -
just posting to make you know I'm going to respond to this)

Salem was in a small room making coffee, a decision he made after practically an hour of arguing back and fourth in his head on one of the worlds most unsolved questions:
should I have coffee... or tea?
he had finally chosen coffee only because he liked the way it smelled; a sweet and creamy scent filling the air as it's made, the warm glass encasing it heating up his fingers as he calmly grips- "agh!" Salem yelps as his phone suddenly rings and causes him to drop his well-waited and sought after coffee due to the loud noise and unexpectedness of the call. after a brief moment of whimpering over his lost caffeine boost for the day, he picks the phone out of his pocket and answered it. "hello?" he said, brushing his long hair out from his face. "this better be important. I just dropped my coffee and now I'll have to clean up the glass and mop up the liquids..." he said, a slightly depressed tone in his voice. -
The sound of the other male's voice on the phone caused for the man to peel his lips into a smile. He always loved the way his voice sounded on both the phone and in person. He then contemplated whether or not he should give any information about the fact that the cure had been discovered. Anthropatosis had not yet affected his area to the extreme, and so he was sure that his lover, Salem, wouldn't notice that no action had been taken. Before he spoke, he placed a cap on the vile which held the mixture.
"Hey, I'm sorry about the glass and coffee, but I have an early out today. I'll be home soon, so I can just make you new cup of coffee. Go relax, yeah?" He said this all with sincerity blaring in his voice. He placed his free hand in a pocket in his scrubs. As he waited for a response, he toyed with the fuzz hidden inside the pocket. -
Salem perked up as soon as he was informed of his mans early return, throwing away the glass and afterwards putting up the mop and bucket. "Thanks, H-honey. I hope you get home safely." He hangs up and holds the phone to his chest, blushing. Walking over to the couch, he flopped down waiting for his man to return home.
Turning on the tv after grabbing the remote which layer on a nearby table, Salem began flipping through the channels, the News channel being the only channel cut off. Salem always assumed that the cable was just kinda funky and needed to be fixed. he had once informed Joseph of this and guessed that he just hasn't gotten around to it, with work and what not. -
The man sighed in awe at the thought of Salem, placing his celluar device back into his pants pocket. His did his after-duty business by heading to the change rooms and getting out of his scrubs, which he tossed into the laundry tub. He pulled on his regular fit, black Wrangler jeans and a white button up, which he tucked into his pants before buttoning. He adjusted his collar in a fit of fashion, throwing on his black dress shoes directly afterwards. He took his wallet and phone back and grabbed his backpack with all of his important files.
He stepped out of the change room, heading directly to where the vile was. His hand scooped it up and placed it in a pocket in his backpack. With a small chuckle and a turn on the heel, the man was free to leave the department. He hurried from the facility and to his car, a jet black Charger. This specific car was chosen because it was classed as a racecar and wasn't too expensive. With the amount of income that Joseph had, however, he would have been free to buy anything else. But the Charger was perfect for him.
He entered the vehicle and sped off in the direction of his home. Since there weren't many cars out and about, he toom the liberty of speeding through traffic lights and stop signs. The police were too focused on the spread of the illness rather than simple traffic violations. In matter of ten minutes, the Charger pulled into the garage of the rather large, lavish home that the pair resided in. -
