  Kyla held her tight, feeling Devin snuggle into her. "It's alright" she said as stroked the girl's blonde hair. She made little soothing noises as she held Devin.

  (Mhm. Someone was nice enough to let me have this account. Now I have two experienced accounts!~ :D)
  Devin was glad that she had Kyla there, or she would have lost it. "Am I really such a bad person? Does nobody want me..?" she asked, reminding herself that her father got a new wife, which means that was her stepmother. "I miss her."

  Kyla was relieved Devin calmed down some. "You're not a bad person, Dev. And I know you do." she said, wiping the tears off the girls face. She didn't pity Devin, but she knew how hard it was, to miss people that much. She also knew there was nothing she could say to make that go away, she just hoped that being there for Devin would help.
