C1 and C2 have been best friends for a long time, since they were kids. Now it's time for senior prom, and both girls find themselves dumping (or dumped by) their dates. Distressed and upset, they bump into each other right as a slow song starts to play. They end up dancing together, forgetting about their stupid dates and distracting each other. C1 thinks of it as a friendly thing, but at the end of the song, C2 kisses her and then flees. The two now have a week left of high school to sort things out, before everyone leaves for college.

Allison, crossed her arms, huffing in disbelief. "You're breaking up with me on prom?" She asked the frowning brunette in front of her. "Sorry, Alli, we're still friends, right?" The blonde girl gave him a single-finger gesture that told him very clearly that they weren't friends. Turning sharply, tears pricking her eyes, Allison walked off the dance floor, the skirt of her long purple dress flowing behind her. Maybe she could find Kyla instead, the shy girl was much better company than her douchebag of a date anyway.

care_bear19 NoviceKyla stood off to the side of the dance floor, watching the other people milling around and dancing. She made a face at one couple who were dancing like horny monkeys. "Are you sure?" Her 'date' asked her. "I really like you, Kyla" He said. She looked at him and sighed. "Yeah, I'm really sorry. I just don't see you as more than a friend" She felt really bad but she could never lie about her feelings. He nodded, looking slightly wounded and walked off.

By the time Allison spotted her friend, hot tears were stinging her eyes. "Kyla, there you are," she touched the taller girl's arm with a relieved smile. "I haven't seen you all night, you look amazing." Even just being near her friend made her feel a bit better, though being dumped on prom still stung.

Allison's smile fell and she looked down. "Scott dumped me." she said with a small frown. "We'd been dating for two weeks, I really liked him..." she trailed off, noticing that Kyla stood alone. "Where's your date?" She asked, glancing around.

Allison made a face. "Oh, that sucks. I guess the date thing didn't work out for either of us, huh?" At Kyla's next words, she shook her head quickly. "Don't, it's okay, really, I- oh my god!" She grabbed Kyla's arm excitedly. "I love this song!" It was a slow love song, and Allison looked excited until she realized she had no date to dance with.
