"Alright. Let's go." He paid, and took the bag, heading to the van. He opened Louis' door, waiting silent.
-
Louis followed him out to the van, and got in through the door that was opened for him. He looked back at his backpack, carefully pulling it from the back to the front and setting it on top of his feet on the floor. "Uhm..." He looked at Micah. "I kind of brought a pet with me," he explained.
-
Micah raised an eyebrow, and stared at him. "Oh? Well, get the poor thing out of there. It cant be comfortable at all," He scolded, shaking his hand as he unwrapped the food.
-
Louis, glad that Micah didn't seem angry with him for bringing a stowaway, immediately dug into his backpack. He had to move his books and clothes out of the way, but he pulled out a clear plastic travel case with a green lid. Clearly, these was a blue colored gecko scurrying around in the container. He set the box down on his lap, opened the top, and reached in to let the little blue guy crawl up onto his hand.
-
"..Mm. A gecko." Micah was a little surprised, but pleasantly. "We can get a tank installed for him in your room, I suppose. What's his name?" He asked, peering at the animal. "I have crickets and meal worms in my basement, with my snakes and lizards, so don't worry about food," He assured him, smiling as he started to eat his own food.
-
(I thought for a while about what the gecko should be named but Micah has a cat named cat and oh so ironically)
Louis picked the gecko out of the container, letting it venture up his arm. He was a little flustered to hear Micah so calmly offer something so kind as to get him a tank for his pet, but turned a little pale when he was asked the name. "It's- it's a little stupid, I did it as a joke," he lied. "His name is Gecko." -
(oh my Go D)
Micah was silent, staring at Louis for a couple seconds, before he busted out laughing. "Don't- Don't worry. I have a cat who's fourteen years old, and I was nine when I got her, and.. And her name is Cat," He explained, shaking his head. "I was so creative." -
Louis looked at his little blue crested lizard shyly, watching Gecko run up his arm. "You do?" He asked, looking at Micah. "Then I guess Gecko seems a little less stupid."
-
"Oh, no, naming a gecko Gecko is still fairly stupid. But that's alright," He assured Louis, smiling as he continued to eat. He finished, bawling the wrapper up, putting it back in the bag.
-
Louis scoffed a little bit, but went right back to fonding over his Gecko. He realized he'd almost forgotten to eat his sandwhich, so he carefully placed Gecko back into his case and opened up his sandwich to start eating.
-
Micah started the van back up, pulling back onto the road. He knew it wouldn't be long before they reached his house.
-
Louis ate about half of his sandwich, but wrapped the rest back up and put it in his backpack. He sat cross-legged, with Gecko's case in the middle, and pulled the Gecko out again.
-
It wasn't long at all before they pulled into the drive of a rather large estate. To the left were several small houses, homes for workers and such, but many of them remained empty unless Micah had guests. At current, one was being repainted. The man nodded to it. "That'll be yours. I'm not going to force you to live with me- You'll have your own house, and your own time, though I may ask your company every now and then. If you leave the grounds, take one of the workers with you. I suggest Anna or Lynn, or the both of them. They're lovely girls. Oh, and.." He paused, stopping the van in front of the main building. An old woman in a long blue dress stepped out, holding two young girls, one on each him. They flailed with excitement at the sight of Micah, and took off running towards him once he was set down. Micah crouched, and wrapped his arms around them, picking them up. He turned to smile at Louis. "And these are my girls. Twins, but I bet you guessed that. Ella and Molly," He explained, setting them down. They were about four, with bright red hair, freckles, and bright green eyes, just like their dad.
-
Louis stared out the window, Gecko squirming in his hand, at... The house that was his. An entire house. Sure, it wasn't a big house, but Louis had expected to have an ex-guest room in Micah's house, not a little cottage thing all to himself. He was only distracted from this by Micah's house, which was even more impressive. Quickly, he packed Gecko back into his backpack, and got out with his backpack on when Micah stepped out, looking at the two girls. Honestly, he didn't seem like the type to have kids, but Louis waved at the two little girls.
-
Ella, the one with slightly shorter cut hair, waved back, grinning. Molly just shoved her head into her father's chest and hugged him, refusing to look at Louis. Micah sighed, and sat Ella down, keeping Molly on his hip as he headed towards the house.
Ella ran over, practically bouncing. She grabbed one of Louis' hands, regardless of if he didn't want her to or not. "Hi! I'm Ella! My sister, Molly, her name is Molly! She went inside with Daddy. I don't think she likes talking to people who aren't Daddy," She explained, grinning.
(I'm gonna ki ll her)
