" are you ok little guy?" Kai said looking at him confused," if your nervous I'm gonna tell on you then we will just say this never happened? " Kai said smiling, hoping Dimitri was alright," if you were startled then in sorry!"

Rex walked over to a young vendor who was in her twenties "Hello young miss. " he said taking off his crown and tilting his head. "Hello my King. What can I do for you?" She asked. "Nothing. I'm just seeing how things are." Rex said looking through the merchandise.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Dimitri kept repeating, gasping for breath, holding back tears. He was so screwed, so very screwed. If the king found out he was breaking the rules, any chance of becoming a knight or even a squire would be crushed!

Not to mention what Garret would do. That caused the tears to stream down his face, it was supposed to be easy. He hardly stood out in a crowd and had won every game of hide and seek he had ever been in, granted most of the time the consequences of being found were severe. (Sorry, had more inspiration after re-reading my post.)

Kai crouched down," look your fine, I will forget about this it's fine, ok? I won't tell him trust me! why don't i say I just took you out for a little walk ok?" Kai offered trying to calm the kid down.

He tried to calm down but the tears wouldn't stop. Sir Kai may not tell but Garret would find out and then, well he was trying not to think about it. Not that was working, hence Dimitri curling up into a ball trying to reassure himself that everything would be fine.

" hey Dimitri you liked that bow right?" Kai said pointing to the bow that he was gazing upon," what if I bought the bow and then gave you a lesson or two, I owe you one since I scared you, bud!" Kai said with his hand on Dimitri's back

Rex spotted a silver necklace in a case" how much for tgevnecklace?"" 100" she replied. Rex pulled out 100 coins and handed them over" Here" she took the coins and handed Rex the necklace. Rex walked off waving back to her" thanks".

Dimitri looks up, tears still running down his face but his breathing evening out. "N-no, you d-don't have to d-do that, r-r-really." He stuttered out quietly.

" well come on it seems you were interested in it and I think, a little man like you could use some adventure for once!" He said," trust me! You could use it since you sneak out a bit to fin adventure, eh?"

Rex rounded a corner and walked over to an armor merchant "morning good sir." " ahh.. Morning my king. What'll it be?" "In seeking a longer sword steel black crimson handle.". " I'll get on it my king." " thanks" Rex said as he walked off.

He wanted so badly to say thank you and let Sir Kai buy it for him, it was truly a beautiful bow but that wasn't the problem. Garret might find it and ruin or steal it for himself though probably the former was more likely because, what would he do with a "useless" piece of wood. 'Yes, but he might not if your careful.' A part of him reasoned, which was true he had many hiding places Garret didn't know about. Oh and the part about having his own adventures was so wonderful that he just decided to be stupidly hopeful just this once. "O-okay. Thank your, sir."

The merchant smiled, though his eyes held concern for the young boy. He knew a broken person when he saw one, and this small boy was extremely broken. 'At such a you age too', the merchant sighed mentally. "Free of charge. And I'll throw in whatever quiver you'd like." When the famous knight tried to protest, he hushed him and beckoned him closer. "The boy seems to need it a lot more than I do." He whispered quietly into the knights ear.
