He pulled a pendant from beneath his robes, showing it to the demon auctioning off the humans. "Sivynth family, son of Siobhan. I can pay upfront, as long as you make sure that word of--"
Douglas was cut off by the demon, who fished the key to the handcuffs out of his pocket and handed it over. "Sivynth? Why didn't you say so earlier? The human is yours, free of charge. Please come again, and enjoy your meal."
He gave the seller a fanged grin, then pulled the human up by the back of his jacket. Though the crowd was waiting eagerly, hoping to see how the last human of the night would be destroyed, Douglas slowly led his purchase offstage and towards the open doors. He untied the gag, even though it was pointless to do so, and left the handcuffs on. He then eyed the human, as if expecting him to fall to his knees and beg for his life. -
Oliver continued to whimper even as the key was being handed to the man. Oliver assumed he was of high royalty or something because all the other bidders had to pay for their humans. Oliver stopped making noises when he heard the creature say, 'Enjoy your meal.' Oliver panicked, and his throat went dry. He didn't say a word as the creature pulled him up by his jacket and began to lead him off of the stage and through the doors. Oliver went willingly, thankful that the gag was completly off him now. The teenage human looked up at the demon through his lashes with a small frown. "When he said enjoy your meal..is there an 'After Human Auction' party or..am I the meal?" He asked quietly, his voice soft and a little shaky as he spoke. Oliver didn't plan on really speaking much, that might get him in more trouble, but he kinda wanted to know if he was getting eaten.
-
"Neither. I don't eat humans. I'm taking you on as a servant. But know that if I do get sick of or annoyed with you, it is customary for me to devour you on the spot." His grip on the human's shoulders became much gentler as they left Hell's Bazaar, the roads they were traveling on now much less populated. "Also, if you run away, there's no way you'll escape Hell. And it's unlikely that anyone will show you any kindness. Now, what's your name?"
They approached a large vehicle that resembled the skeleton of a bus, and Douglas helped his human aboard, realizing he couldn't use his hands. He led him up to the second floor and gave him a window seat. -
Oliver listened very carefully to what he had to say, not wanted to make any mistakes that may risk his life. He relaxed a little when the grip on his shoulders wasn't was tight anymore, blinking slowly as he took in everything round him. The people here were so odd and it confused Oliver. People had always told him he was different due to his two different colored eyes, but he wasn't as near as different as the people around him. He wasn't even sure if he could call them people.
Oliver had considered trying to escape this place before he heard what the man, creature, whatever he was had to say. He didn't want to end up in a worse situation than he has gotten himself into now. "My name's Oliver. And yours?" He asked in his quiet and soft voice as he sat down in the seat and scooted next to the window. The handcuffs had pulled up the sleeves of his jacket and rubbing against his wrists painfully, but Oliver didn't dare ask for them to be taken off in fear that it might make the older mad. -
"Douglas. Here, those look painful." He reached for the key, his expression filled with shock as soon as he realized that he must have misplaced it. Searching the robe, the demon eventually settled down next to Oliver and pushed him forward a little so he could place his hands on the handcuffs. After a brief moment of his green hands glowing white, the cuffs melted off, leaving the human free.
He turned back towards the front of the bus. He hated the things, as they'd always made him queasy if he wasn't facing forward. As soon as he'd prevented himself from going a different shade of green, he pulled the hood back up. There was no way he could be seen out here, in the most disreputable parts of Seventh Circle. -
(They need to put one of those Sims thing on Soaps so you know what your characters need. One of my soaps is over one hundred pages long and my character hasen't used the bathroom once..xD)
"Douglas.." Oliver repeated softly, testing how it rolled off his tounge and how it sounded for himself to say it. He was glad when the handcuffs were removed but was confused as to how Douglas got them off. Oliver didn't question it, though. He wanted to convince himself this was all a big nightmare and he would wake up in his warm, black and white bed soon enough. The pain in his wrists felt real, though. Oliver brushed his thumb on his right hand over his left wrist as if making the pain go away just by doing that, even though it didn't. He switched hands and did the same to his other wrist, letting out a small sigh. -
They finished the ride in silence, Douglas escorting Oliver off of the bus when they were as close as they could get to his home. Even though it was Hell, this area was much cleaner than those they'd passed through before. The structures within this city could be classified as neither building or cavernous mountain, for they were too much of one to be considered truly as the other. Douglas's robes trailed behind him as he walked along, moving from darkness into pools of streetlamp light and then back. They reached what could be considered one of the most regal establishments, where a massive, yellow, winged demon was waiting outside. He was wearing something that resembled a tie, as it was the only sort of formal attire that was suitable for his bulbous figure.
"Hey, Bobby, mind giving me a ride up?" Douglas asked, walking over and climbing up onto the demon's back. He held out a hand for Oliver, and pulled him up. Their ascent was quick, and Douglas pulled his human off and onto a rocky landing before tipping their ride. -
Oliver followed Douglas when they got off the bus, not daring to make a false move. He wanted to try and escape, of course. He hasen't lost that much hope yet, but now was not the time. Oliver knew he would have to wait, that a perfect time would come when he could attempt to escape. The walk towards wherever they were going was a bit eerie, and a little too quiet for Oliver's taste. He didn't say anything as they approached what seemed to look somewhat like a Griffin, it was huge. Oliver was nervous to get on the creature's back, but obeyed when Douglas pulling him up. Oliver kepthis eyes closed tight as they made their way up. It was pretty dark, and being scared of the dark, it was not making this any better at all. He was overjoyed when the ride was finally over, scurrying off the creature and waiting to go somewhere that had more light. The human was shaking, terrified of the darkness and anything that could be in it.
-
Douglas walked over to the door, holding it open for the human. He could sense his discomfort, and planned on stopping it as soon as he could. A frightened human couldn't provide proper information, which meant that taking care of the creature was in his best interests.
Once they were inside, he swept his hand across the room, his candles lighting as he pointed at them. The space was much newer and cleaner than anywhere else they'd been, but was still cluttered with small piles of notes and stacks of books, telltale signs of a curious genius at work. There was a staircase near the back of the main room, heading up to the master and guest bedrooms. A huge window gave the residents an impressive view of the city, especially at night. "You hungry?" he asked, smiling at the human. -
Oliver walked into the building as quick as he could, eager to escape the darkness. He was fasinated as the candles lit up as Douglas pointed at each one of them. It was like watching a light show. The light brought his comfort and Oliver gave a small smile. He took in his surroundings, tugging on the sleeve of his Varisty jacket, an old habit that he would probably never get rid of. The fact that this room was somewhat modern relaxed Oliver a little as well. He thought about Douglas's question for a few moments before nodding slowly. "A little bit," he replied quietly, returning the man's smile with a small one of his own. Oliver was happy to see that there was paper and books in Hell. He wouldn't be able to last a day if he couldn't draw or look at drawings of something.

(Can I give him wings? Yes, he has wings now, but he can't really sure them while wearing robes and he's not the strongest bean so. But yes to greenish grey, leathery wings)
"Do you eat meat at all? I try not to, so I don't have any. Sorry about that. What are you in the mood for? I have pretty much everything else, and I'm pretty sure we have the same food here as you do in your world." Douglas slipped his robes off and draped them over the arm of the couch. Now shirtless, the demon stretched out his thin wings and swatted his tail back and forth a bit, then headed into the kitchen. He gestured for the human to follow him. -
(Of course.)
"I eat some meats, not all. I can have anything except for anything with any type of nuts. I'm allergic to them all. At home, I normally just eat lettuce and chicken wraps every day.." Oliver replied, watching the older slip of his robe. He tried not to stare at the now shirtless creature whos wings were now showing. Oliver blinked slowly for a few seconds before following Douglas towards the kitchem. -
He made a face. "Ew. Yeah, not really a fan of nuts, so I think you're good." He checked the fridge, finding that everything Oliver would need was there, minus the chicken. "Wait... you're the servant, you're supposed to be cooking. And really, I'm not the best cook. Maybe you should do it yourself, just so I don't mess it up." He felt bad about offering and then changing his mind, but he'd feel even worse if he did a poor job.
He grabbed his water kettle from its usual spot on the stove, and filled it with water. "I can make tea. Or cocoa. Which would you like? I mean, if you want any at all..." Ugh, was he seriously going to be this awkward around the human? -
"That's good, then," Oliver agreeded, swaying a little as he waited. Oliver froze when he heard that he would have to make his own food. He had never cooked at home due to the crazy amount of cooks and butlers his father had hired. He stepped foward, eyeing the fridge. He grabbed the lettuce and nothing else. Oliver was actually really fond of lettuce, and could just eat the green by itself. "Tea would be nice..Do you have a plate I can use?" He asked, tearing off some lettuce.

Seeing that the human was capable, Douglas left the kitchen and headed upstairs. He'd left his glasses on his nightstand that morning, now if only he... oh, there they were. After a few moments of feeling around, he located the glasses and put them on. Heading downstairs, he called back to the human. "Yeah, in the cabinet to the left of the sink."
He walked back into the kitchen, pausing in a state of shock. Of course, the glasses made everything clearer, but he wasn't used to this much of a difference. Oliver was actually pretty good looking, more so than any human he'd ever seen. He tried his hardest to hide the blush creeping across his cheeks.
