I want this to be based off of the film/book "Howl's Moving Castle", but with a twist. Here's a plot line, and it's all based in a place where instead of technology they advanced with magic (not everyone has it though- only a select few choose to become witches and wizards, everyone else leads normal lives in the kingdom). I can be C1 or C2, really.
C1 is the oldest of three brothers, in a time and place were such a thing means that you won't have much success in life if you leave the family home to find your fortune. So, even after his mother's death, his father allows him to stay at home to continue running the family hat shop while his two brother go off to find new jobs and be married. But, one day, C1 is mistaken for someone else by an evil witch, and has a curse laid upon him- he is turned into a dog, and as far as he knows, there is no way to reverse this. As he knows there is no way to tell his family what has happened, C1 runs away, only to decide to stumble into the home of...
C2 has a bad reputation according to the gossip of the people in C1's town. C2 is rumored to romance beautiful girls, and then, quite literally, steal their hearts. This isn't true, though. C2 made a contract with a fire demon- who now lives in the fireplace of his castle, controlling said structure, and the entire building has four legs which the fire demon uses to lead the castle aimlessly among the hills. The rumour about C2 started because he enjoys romancing girls, and then breaking their hearts as soon as they fall in love so that they are devastated. After a trip away to romance a girl, he returns to the castle to find a dog, which his young apprentice let into the castle to keep as a pet. -
**I forgot to mention that, without C1's knowledge, when he sleeps he turns back into a human, or when he is extremely pleased or happy and forgets about his canine condition.

Alright, cool. Do you have a preference for which character you want? C1's supposed to be very shy and by the time he gets to the castle he's pretty much given up on solving the spell and plans to live as a dog. C2's pretty selfish and when he finds out that C1 is under a curse he plans to slowly fix it over time, because he's too busy doing other things.

I would like to be C1 is you don't mind being C2, because I don't think I could live up to C2's personality.

Human Appearance-
Dog Appearance- You don't even know how tempting it was to make him this cute little animated pug. x'D Decided against it for plot reasons.
Dario has always been a bit shy since he found out that most think he won't be successful in life. He likes to keep to himself and try to stay out of others business, but always ends up in the middle of odd situations despite that. The only time he really has social interaction is when running a hat shop his own family owns. Even though he is the oldest child, he is not always the most mature and can find things funny that no one else would. He can be quite serious at times and a bit stubborn when he doesn't want to do something but is being forced into it. -

Name: His real name is Charles Jenkins, but in different towns he goes by different names. In Market Chipping, it is Wizard Pendragon.

Appearance:
His hair is actually a bit longer, down by his shoulders. The marks on his arm were an accident- he was trying to give himself a small tattoo, and accidentally spilled the entire marking potion down his arm.
He is very concious of his appearance, and always wants to look his best, mostly around the girls who he courts. Outwardly, most people see him as quite heartless- and they're not wrong. Literally, because of the contract he made with the fire demon, the fire demon is trapped in the hearth in the moving castle, his beating heart acting as the demon's life force, resting under the burning logs. At home, his apprentice Willace sees him as kind, at least when given a chance.

Name: Willace Powell
Age: 15
He is the wizard's only apprentice. Charles let him into the castle under circumstances that are kept secret between the two, and even Charles doesn't know the full story behind it. The wizard simply came home one day to see that the fire demon had allowed Willace in, and from then on, Charles was kind enough to let him stay. Willace is incredibly care free, and when he isn't studying magic or running errands for Charles, he is out in town exploring or in the hills having races with the castle. -
Wizards were, in the land of Ingary, very rare, but also very needed. Therefore, they were always very, very busy. Charles was always out, running errands, or if he wasn't, he'd be out visiting a lady friend. At that time, he was out in town, appreciating the fact that the people of Market Chipping were too afraid of him to ever visit his castle; so no one recognized him, and he could go about his business doing the grocery shopping. He'd left Willace at the castle to guard the place and work on a shrinking spell, but he was rather certain that the antsy boy whom he'd lived with for three years would be playing games with the fire demon- Gilton- who controlled the castle. Which was just fine by Charles, as long as nothing was harmed in the proceedings.
Surely enough, in the misty hills that loomed above the town of Market Chipping, Willace was out sprinting after the red-bricked castle. Black smoke was huffing out of the chimney as the castle made an effort to outrun the boy, on course towards the tree that they'd agreed to be the finish line. Willace, though, was quite fast, and was catching up to the puffing building. He smiled at the thought that down below in Market Chipping, people must have been looking at them thinking that the evil wizard Charles was chasing a poor boy up in the hills. -
(Crap and last thing I don't think I mentioned this takes place in a place where everyone dresses like it's the 1800's sort of and they don't have technology or anything)

Dario was walking to work that morning, kicking small rocks on the path as he went along. The sky was covered in clouds and it was cool outside, just like he liked it. He brushed past people as the walking towards him, talking and laughing as they went along with whatever they were doing. He finally came across the small hat shop his family was proud to call their own. They were quite successful in their minds, selling a few hats everyday to people who had the time to walk into the small shop. Dario opened the door and walked inside the small building. The air smelled of sawdust for some odd reason, and it made him wrinkle his nose as he walked towards the back.
