It was pretty busy that day. In the middle of winter, the Little Angel was warm, and, with that and free wifi, the college students flocked to it like moths to a light. Ro liked to pretend they were moths. Pretend he could squash the rude ones like the little mother- ..He really, really needed his job, though, so most of the time, he just smiled through his teeth and dealt with them. Most of them were pretty polite, and it was the best place to flirt. Which was just what he was doing when he sat down a mocha, accidentally tipping it with his hand. The pretty girl he had been joking with let out a startled noise, and he grabbed a handful of napkins, panicking at the coffee splattered books and laptops. "OhmygodIamsosorry."
-
Dantello had been working all night long on a paper for school and had gotten no sleep. Knowing that he still had a lot of work to do, Dantello had decided to go to a nearby coffee shop called the Little Angel to get something to drink that could keep him awake. He brought his laptop and books, setting them right beside each other on the counter. He didn't notice that the worker had spilt the mocha at first, but Dantello spun around when he heard some girl yelp. He gasped when he saw his laptop and books covered in coffee. He too quickly grabbed some napkins and started wiping the coffee away from his most likely ruined laptop. "I can't believe this!" He muttered and huffed when he saw the napkins weren't working.
-
"I'm so sorry," He repeated, trying to save the laptop. It was useless, the thing was soaked. "Look, I can.. I can help you dry the papers, a-and I'll help you get a new laptop, and, I am so, so sorry." Rosario's face was red. If the man complained to his boss, it meant he could have to find another job. He already felt so bad, but that darkened his mood a good bit.
-
Dantello tossed the soaked napkins into a nearby trashcan, running a free had through his light blonde hair. "I'm not worried about getting a new laptop. I'm worried about all the damn data that was saved on there." He groaned when he realized all the work he had done for school had been on that laptop. Glancing at the books that were also ruined, he signed. "Just, don't. Quit apologizing."
-
"We can get it off the drive. I'll pay for it. I have a friend in tech who could transfer it, and.. Sorry," He mumbled, in response to being told to stop apologizing. With a sad smile, he held out his hand. "Rosario. I- Uh.. Are you picking up a drink, or..?"
-
"Fine. Whatever." Dantello picked up his soaked books, throwing them into his white and gold duffel bag without even caring how wet they were. Dantello didn't shake the man's hand at first, but then reluctantly did. "I was, but I'm kinda wide awake now. Dantello."
-
"Again, I'm sorry." He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Half off on your drinks, if you still want them, then?" He moved to look at the drinks the man had came to get, counted out four dollars from his personal tips, and gave it to the man. "If you'll wait, I get off in thirty minutes, and I can take you to that friend of mine."
-
Dantello reluctantly took the money. "That's really not needed, but thank you anyways." He thought for a moment about leaving and not worrying about it, but he really needed the files that were on his laptop. "Sure. I can wait."

(I have pizza cupcakes. Come eat with me.)
Rosario gave him a small smile, and went back to work. The thirty minutes were fine, though his co-worker and best friend, Sammy, wouldn't shut up about him totally flirting with that guy. He denied it, saying he wouldn't have even noticed him had he not f---ed up. -
(Ew. Icing and grease.)
Dantello sat at one of the tables for the whole half hour, drying out the wet and sticky books. Finally, they weren't as wet and sticky as before. They just had brown coffee stains on some of the pages and the covers of the books. He tapped his fingers on the table absentmindedly. -
(Ew no icing
Just pizza do in a cupcake form, filled with sauce and cheese and stuff)
When he finally got out, he took his apron off, through it at Sammy before jogging to Dantello. "Hey. We can go now, if you're ready." -
(Oh okay xD)
Dantello nodded to show he was ready and stood, slinging his white and gold duffel bag over his left shoulder. "Where exactly is this friend you're talking about?" He said, starting towards the door. -
(Please tell me you've never heard of anyone ptting icing on paper bc that's gross)
"Ah," He mumbled, taking a moment to formulate a lie. He had always been really, really good at lying. "That blonde chick I was talking to," He let out a dramatic sigh, rolling his eyes at Sammy, who was snickering as they walked out the door, "She was totally cute. And I was totally gonna get laid, and Sammy was making fun of me for my epic fail. Almost got her number, too. Damn." -
(I think you mean pizza, and I have xD Jake does it often.)
Dantello opened the door and walked outside, holding it open for Rosario. "Oh, is that so? That's great for both of you. I guess.." Dantello bit his bottom lip and glanced back inside where Sammy was. In his head he cursed the girl because he had thought Rosario had been kinda cute. -
(PIZZA XDD
ew
he's gross)
"Mm, but, really, I don't think I would have enjoyed it much. Girls are alright, but, honestly, guys are better." Rosario had always been comfortable in his sexuality. He was long over the point of worrying what people thought of him.
