Landon thought for a miniute. He could imagine all the things that could go wrong, what could happen if they failed. Then he nodded. "When do we leave?"

Ann froze and sat up to look at Landon, surprised he was actually going through with it. She ahrugged "your money, your car.. I have money at my house, if we swing by. Its not much, but some... Like, tip money.." She frowned at her own uselessness and waited for Landon's response.

"After dinner tonight. We can leave then.." He kissed Ann's nose, giving her a small smile. "Then you'll be safe. I promise."

She smiled at him and nodded gratefully. "Thank you.. Thank you so much.." She buried her face in his shoulder again.

Landon kept his arms around her protectively and stayed silent for a few minutes. He glanced over at Lily, who was still passed out. He laughed softly, his mouth beside Ann's ear. "Do we have to bring her?" He whispered in her ear.

Ann blushed and chuckled a little. "Well, maybe drop her off somewhere.." She then frowned and sat up to look at Landon again. "What about.." She struggled to swallow "..Maddie?" -

Landon bit his lip once again. The name was like a knife to him, something that shouldn't be said. "Pretty sure she's dead." -
(Now you have permission to slap me )
Ann frowned and looked at her lap. "Oh...I'm sorry." Inwardly she was screaming with joy, but she could only guess how Landon felt, so she acted sad toward the matter. "Why do you think she's..." She reconsidered what she was asking. "Never mind." -
(Nahh.)
"Why would you be sorry? I hated that whore, even before she came to join us in the cellar." Landon glanced at the clock that read two. "Why don't we just go now? It'll be easier.." -
Ann glanced at the clock, then back to Landon, ignoring his last comment. "Wait, what do you mean, you hated her?"
Lily slowly started to sit up, her head feeling light and slightly sick to her stomach. -
Landon sighed. "My father killed my mother because of her. He didn't want a divorce but Maddie was pregnant, so they killed my mother. I really don't want to talk about it." He glanced over at Lily. "Finally. You're awake."

Ann just stared off into space in shock as Landon talked with Lily.
Lily looked around in a confused panic before remembering what had happened. "Please, please tell me you lied! You..you.. Don't tell me I'm going to get..." She put her face in her hands and whimpered. -
Landon shook his head slowly. "I'm not a liar, but you won't be here for long. We're gonna leave soon, and by soon, I really think we need to go now, before my father gets home."

Both girls looked at Landon in alarm.
Ann eventually nodded a few times. "Yeah. Good idea.." she quickly got up and went to her bedroom to grab her backpack and belongings.
Lily stared at Landon. "How will we leave? Won't he be able to find us again? He's.... he's crazy!" Her eyes darted around the room as if she expected Charles to seep through the underground walls. -
Landon stood up himself, rolling his eyes at Lily. "No he won't. I'm not going to take you with us." He went into his room and grabbed his duffel bag. He took the small bottle of pills under his pillow and threw those in too, along with the money he had hidden in his drawer.
