Ann smiled inwardly at what Landon said, but kept an indifferent look on her face. She took roast from the freezer and looked around for a crock pot, quickly glancing once at Landon.

"You don't have to cook, unless you want to." Landon leaned foward and kissed her cheek lightly, giving her a small smile. Maddie watched them until she turned her attention to the telly, turning it on. After realizing she could only watch movies, she groaned. "What house dosen't have cable, god dammit."

Ann turned towards Landon and gave her best "are you serious?" look, still a bit mad at him. She turned back to her dinner-making and carefully pulled a crock pot from the cabinets. She put the roast inside and made all the necessary preparations. She sighed and said "Don't stress yourself. Just go keep your girlfriend company." She walked back to her room and shot an "A house with people who can find more productive things to do than stare at a mechanical box." at Maddie. She returned to her room and this time, slammed the door.

Landon was about to tell Ann that Maddie was anything but his girlfriend, but she left and slammed the door. Landon sighed and went over to the couch, standing over Maddie. She crossed her arms. "Can you like, move? I'm trying to watch a movie." That was when Landon snapped. He grabbed her arm and yanked her up, pinning her against the nearest wall. He narrowed his eyes and ignored the girl's loud crys for help. "You stay away from me. I thought I got rid of you years ago." She screamed loud enough for the neighborhood to hear. Landon snarled. "You shut up."

Ann heard the screams and quickly looked up. She gingerly opened the door and snuck out to see what was going on. Catching the last half of Landon's little speech, her eyebrows went up. She crossed her arm and leaned sideways against the closest wall, watching the show. It seemed kind of an odd thing to do to a friend, but how would she know?

Maddie struggled against him, but he kept his arms on her elbows, holding a tight grip on the girl. Landon narrowed his eyes. "I will let you leave. Right now. I just want you out of my sight you little whore," he spat. He let go of her elbows and stormed to his room, slamming the door himself.
Maddie brushed off the sleeves of her cotton candy blue shirt and sighed. She walked over to the couch and sat back down, sitting criss cross. -
Ann tilted her head and stared at Maddie for a while, slightly differently this time. She shook her head and returned to her room and her book. However, she wasn't able to focus, and leaned back against her pillows, thinking about the new girl.

Maddie was staring at the screen, watching some movie, but wasn't really paying attention. She was wondering if Landon had found out about his father knocking her up after his wife died, or if he just hated her. She sighed and stretched out her legs, bored.

Landon lied down on his bed, texting all of his contacts at once. After the text was sent, he slipped in some gray Converse. Walking up the stairs to the cellar door, he yelled down, "Be home around ten or something." -
Ann heard Landon leave and frowned, not enjoying the thought of being alone with the new girl. She closed her eyes and leaned back against the headrest, trying to figure out what to do. Her book suddenly seemed boring, and dinner wasn't due for several hours.

Landon left the house, hopping into his car. He decided to go to a bar/club with a group of friends he had known before his father had him pulled out of school. Once he had got there, about ten people he knew were waiting outside. Landon parked the car and slid out, greeting everyone with a grin.

Hey, are you feeling better? I stalked that you went to the hospital..
Ann sighed and closed her eyes. Pure boredom was taking its toll, and the pain in her back was getting worse. She groaned and wiggled to a better position. Feeling rather sick physically and emotionally, she took a deep breath and dozed off. -

Landon walked in front of the group, leading them into the large club. The floors were coated with glitter, and hundreds of people were standing around, drinks in hand. Landon led the group to the bar, all of them taking a seat on a stool. He ordered twenty beers, two for each of them. The bartender slid two beers to each kid sitting at the bar.

Maddie jumped up when she heard the cellar door open. She stood up, but just stared at Charles. "Where is Landon and Rose?" He asked. -

Rose perked up when she heard the cellar door open, and rushed out, assuming it was Landon. Her face fell a little at the sight of her abuser, but she quickly answered the question. "I'm here sir. Landon left for a while." She glared pointedly at Maddie, trying to make a point to Charles. -
"Why are you calling her Rose? I thought her name was Ann.." Charles stopping at the foot of the stairs, narrowing his eyes at Maddie. "She is Rose. You are Violet." Maddie wrinkled her nose. "My name's Maddie.You should remember it seeing as you had sex-" Charle's lurched forward, grabbing Maddie's throat before she could say another word.
Landon quickly drank his two beers and had three more before leaving. Someone else drove him home in his red Mustang because Landon was clearly drunk. The guy driving him parked Landon's car and walked off, heading back to the club. Landon's mind was fuzzy, and as he walked down the stairs to the cellar, he almost fell.
